BEAUTY BLOGGER TAG

Hello lovelies, so a couple of weeks ago I was tagged by my lovely friend Kirsty at Kirsty's Cosmetics Beauty Rainbow to answer some questions so here goes...

THE SPRING TAG

The lovely Alice from Annie Writes Beauty tagged me in this Spring Tag so I thought I would do it, it's been a while since I've done a tag post and I do enjoy answering the questions, so here goes...

1. What are three colours that remind you of Spring?
Yellow, Pastel shades and Green.

2. What is the first thing you added to your Spring wardrobe?
Long flowy skirts and light jacket/cardigans.

3. What is the first item of clothing you ditch to make it more Spring like?
Thick wooly jumpers!

4. What are your ultimate nude and bright lipsticks?
My favourite nudes are Mac - Hue, Illamasqua - Rosepout and Maybelline Colour drama pencil in Nude perfection and my favourite brights are Mac - Candy yum yum, YSL in shade 52 and Maybelline colour sensational in shocking coral.

5. What is your signature Spring fragrance?
I don't really stick to scents through different times of the year but I am loving Lady million by Paco rabbanne currently.

6. What do you add to or drop from your skin care routine?
I add anything with sf for the daytime and ditch heavy moisturisers.

7. Do you change your hair in the Spring?
Again I don't change my hair to suit the seasons but I am having a change after a long long time of having the same, I think I'm going to go for a lob with some sort of ombre going on.

8. Are there any exciting beauty releases that you are looking forward to?
I still haven't got my hands on those gorgeous new Clinique lipsticks so need to get some of those!

9. What are your top three nail colours for Spring?

THE NETFLIX TAG

So I saw this Netflix tag on Sophie blog , originally created by Alice and just had to do it because Netflix is just amazing!

1. What are you favourite series' to watch on Netflix?
Gossip Girl, Misfits, Pretty Little Liars and now they have Friends!

2. What are you currently watching on Netflix?
Pretty Little Liars, I am addicted and to all my friends I told to watch this, they are now addicted too! You literally get glued to it as soon as you start watching it.

3. If you could have any series, old or new put on Netflix, what would it be?
Does anyone remember Sugar Crush? I used to love that aha or One tree hill, I miss that (currently singing the song).

4. What is your one peeve about Netflix?
I don't think they have the best movie selection really but that's just personal preference I guess, they don't have many of the classic films I thought they would have.

5. What are your essentials for a perfect night in with Netflix?
Laying back on the sofa with a blanket, tea and plenty of snacks, preferably sweet popcorn!

6. Recommend one series or film for someone else.
Breaking Bad! Me and my boyfriend absolutely loved this series, it gets you gripped from the start and constantly wanting to watch more and if you haven't watched Pretty Little Liars, you must! If you like eery things I would recommend checking out American Horror Story, it all got a bit too much for me in season two though and didn't fancy watching it alone aha, my boyfriend kept getting really lost with the story but it was very intriguing

I tag anyone who loves Netflix as much as I do...

TAG | PRODUCTS I'D TAKE INTO THE JUNGLE

Hello lovelies, today I have a fun tag for you all to join in if you wish created by the beautiful Beth over at Miss Beauty Obsession, all you have to do is pick what you would take into the jungle. I would never be brave enough to actually go in the jungle, I hate spiders or any creepy crawly in fact but I do love watching I'm A Celebrity and laugh at the trials but also thinking how brave/mad they are, so I thought it would be fun to join in with the tag fun so thanks Beth for creating it.

Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence Protecting Spray this and my Tangle Teezer I really couldn't be without, my favorite ever hair duo, I spritz this every time I wash my hair or before using heat tools, I obviously wouldn't have my straightners in the jungle or hair dryer but this would help with the heat of the sun! Also de tangles your hair instantly and leaves a lovely scent on your hair afterwards, the tangle teezer is just the best brush I have ever come across and doesn't pull at all brushing through wet hair.

Collection Lasting perfection concealer, I really don't think I would bother with foundation as it would be hot and the heat would actually do some wonders for my skin going slap free I think but this concealer would be perfect for hiding any dark circles from lack of sleep, I don't think I could sleep very well thinking of all the creepy crawlies around me in the night and if a spot does appear I could hide it with this.

Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm* in Robust Rhubarb, I would wear this colour cheek balm just to add a bit of colour to my cheeks as I am very very pale and don't really tan at all so would be nice to have a bit of colour to my cheeks, they are oil free and would give me a nice healthy glow.

Maybelline The Collosal Go Extreme Waterproof Mascara, I have this in the non waterproof version and absolutley love it but I think I would need waterproof for the jungle, the heat making me sweat/eyes water and probably lots of tears, I am sure I would be the next Gemma Collins if I went in haha.

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Peach on the beach, What a fitting shade choice for the jungle aha, these lip crayons are so lovely to apply they glide on lovely and have a lovely scent unlike the Revlon minty ones, they have spf in and a waterproof finish! They are also quite long lasting and I think this is such a pretty shade and would look quite natural if I was just wearing mascara and a bit of blush.

Then lastly the high all mighty of products, I couldn't be without this gem in the jungle its the
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream! This product is genius and so versatile, you could use it to keep your lips looking supple and soft, any dry areas you might have, for scars/burns if you fall over or have any accidents in the jungle, maybe even bites? This would be perfect if you got sun burn too to ease it, chapping pretty much anything, it is very thick but would be great for an over night mask if you really needed it.

I really enjoyed doing this tag and I tag anyone who loves watching I'm A Celeb and would like to join in.

THE AUTUMN TAG

Hello lovelies, I was very kindly tagged by my beautiful October advertiser Francesca, as I love autumn I just had to do the tag...

1. Coffee - What's your favorite seasonal drink from Starbucks or any other coffee shop?
Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks definitely! So warm and inviting.

pumpkin spice latte #starbucks

2. Accessories - What do you opt for, scarf, boots or gloves?
I love my boots but I do love my scarves too, I'll have to say both!

3. Music - What's your favorite music to listen to during Autumn
Soft sort of music and relaxing, I listen to pretty much anything all year around though.

4. Perfume - What's your favorite scent for this time of year?
I always go back to my Theirry Mugler Alien in the autumn/winter months as it is more richer and warm notes, I love stronger scents in the colder months.

5. Candles - What scents will you be burning this season?
I am loving spiced oranges at the minute from Yankee Candle I also love Merry Berry, I love the stronger rich scents such as cinnamon, spiced fruits and things like that.

6. What do you love best about Autumn?
Walking through the crunchy leaves, filling the room with candles and sitting cosy in front of the tv with your blanket wrapped around you with a hot chocolate.

7. Favorite makeup look?
I love brown smokey eyes and love wearing darker/berry lips as the nights get colder.

8. What are you looking forward to the most in the Autumn?
It will be the first year I get to take my little man trick or treating so that will be great and carving pumpkins!

YOU CAN ONLY PICK ONE | BEAUTY TAG

I saw that the lovely Rebecca from Autumn Leaves did this tag a bit ago which I thought would be a fun tag to do, all though hard at the same time but here are my answers.

Low End Brand - How hard is it to pick only one brand? For me it has to be Rimmel though there foundations, nail polishes, blushers and lipsticks are amazing and I would be pretty happy if I could only have make-up from this brand.

High End Brand - Again very hard to choose but for me it would have to be Mac another lover of there foundation and they have a range of everything I would be happy if I could only shop there too.

Primer - Very bad beauty blogger of me but I don't always prime, I use Mac studio cream moisturiser every morning at the minute and it works amazing as a primer! Review coming soon but I do like Benefits Porefessional for my nose,

Foundation/BB Cream/Tinted Moisturiser - Foundation is so hard to choose one as I have two ultimate faves but the one I wear daily is the Rimmel 25 hour it is medium to full coverage, flawless finish and lasts all day and night! BB cream I have been loving lately is the Maybelline Pure BB cream, it covers my redness and imperfections slightly and light to medium coverage, I never usually like BB creams but I am loving this for summer as its light weight and doesn't feel like anything on the skin. I never wear tinted moisturisers so couldn't comment on an only one for that.

Concealer - What do you think? Obviously Collection lasting perfection.. duh!

Bronzer - I have recently just purchased Benefits Hoola and loving it but if I could only have one, it would have to be my Bare Minerals in Faux tan, perfect for contouring or bronzing to give you that summer glow and not muddy looking at all.

Blush - I am a massive cream blush kinda girl now and the one I reach for the most is the So Susan 8 hour stain cream blush, it doesn't have a shade name as there is only one but it lasts all day and gives you rosy cheeks to make your cheeks pop and look pretty.

Powder - I only really need powder in the summer and the only one I use is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder, again how original of me?

Setting Spray - I only have one and it's the Mac+ fix but I am not overly keen if you have any recommendations I would love to know in the comments below.

Eyebrow Product - I am such a noob when it comes to brows, I just pay for them to be done with some tint and occasionally powder them, the powder I use daily is the W7 brow bar for under £5 it does the job and I love it, I would love some product recommendations for noobs like myself though?

Eyeshadow/Palette - Naked 2 is my go to palette I adore it so much being a massive fan of nudes, creams and browns but I have recently bought a Charlotte Tilbury palette so who knows it could be in winner spot soon!

Eyeliner - I only ever wear liquid eyeliner on the top and I have adored using the Maybelline Black Shock gel eyeliner it stays put for hours, super easy to apply and I am pretty sure it is pretty much a dupe for the new Benefit one.

Mascara - I have two favorites again but my most reached that never lets me down is the Maybelline The Collosal volum' express, intense black that gives you wow lashes, volume and lengthening

Lipstick/Lipgloss/Balm - If I only had one lipstick? Are you kidding me, this is most probably the hardest question of them all, you can't do this to a girl aha. But I absolutely adore my new YSL lipstick and would be pretty happy only having that one but £25 is quite pricey to keep repurchasing so it would have to be the Bourjois Rouge edition Velvet lipsticks, they come in a range of fab colours and longevity is amazing. Ligloss would have to be the Lancome lip lover, these have converted me back to lipgloss I don't ever wear lipgloss anymore unless I am after a glossy finish on top of a lipstick but the lip lovers are very opaque, moisturing and come in gorgeous shades and for lip balm it would have to be my EOS one.

Nail Polish - If I could only pick one brand it would have to be Barry M they do nail poish to the T, every shade imaginable, any finish you fancy and so affordable! They don't chip easily like most either and they look super cute stacked up in a row.

Beauty Tool -  Any Real techniques brush I would be pretty pleased with but my ultimate favorite for doing my foundation with is the expert face brush, blends out beautifully, gives my skin a flawless finish and so easy to use.

Why don't you join in and pop in the comments below when you do so I can see your answers.

Lip product addict | TAG

Hello lovelies, I have seen this tag everywhere recently so had to jump on the band wagon as I am just a little bit of a lipstick addict, ok a big bit look at my collection HERE! I thought it would be rude not to join in, this was originally started by Amelia LanaEssie Button both gorgeous girls with fab blogs and YouTube channels, here is my answers...

1. Favorite balm/treatment -

For me the best lip treatment is the lip scrubs from Lush, Bubblegum has to be my favorite but I've used all that one up and currently using the Santa's lip scrub still from there Christmas stock, don't worry it's still in date they last about a year I think, even though you could make one at home you're never going to get is as good as how they do it plus it smells amazing of cola which instantly makes me think of the cola truck at Christmas, it's not Christmas in our house until the cola truck is on the tv, although I think it gets earlier every year aha. It is gritty in texture but not too intense to rip of the skin on your lips, it's just great for exfoliating them and keeping them in tip top condition, also a little tip if you want extra exfoliation, I take an old toothbrush and rub them with this on, perf!
The balm I am currently loving is the EOS balm in raspberry, it's the perfect dome shape to just rub all over your lips quickly to bring the moisture back in and it smells divine, also the colour is gorgeous this is always in my handbag for on the go fixes, for an over night lip balm I use Elizabeth Arden's 8 hour cream that stuff is awesome.

2. Best eye-catching red

For me it has to be the Nars Velvet matte lip pencil in Cruella, not only is this beauty eye-catching it is what converted me to be a red lipstick lover, I never thought reds suited me but this opened my eyes. It is a deep dark red that lasts all day and night! My best friend Jess borrowed this last weekend when we went to a party she partied, drank lots and ate and it didn't budge! What more could you want? Also it doesn't bleed and the pen applicator makes it super easy to apply, I got this in a set featured HERE.

3. Best luxury & drugstore -

Luxury - It's another Nars product but this baby is gorgeous it is the Nars Satin lip pencil in Lodhi, this is a jumbo lip pencil filed with vitamins and adds moisture to your lips as well as covering them in pigmented coral goodness, such a beautiful colour perfect for spring and summer. I fell in love with this as I swatched it at my nearest Nars counter and couldn't leave without it.
Drugstore - The Maybelline colour sensationals are so gorgeous, super pigmented with amazing lasting power also, this is one of my favorite bright lippys in my collection in the shade shocking coral, although to me it's more of a bright neon pink with maybe a tadge of orange infused, the packaging is lovely too.

4. Best Mac lipstick

I don't think you can go wrong with a good nude, everyone needs one in there life even you pale girls like me who worry about nudes washing out there colour, this will compliment it! It has a slight pinkness to it so it's more wearable than most other nudes (I also have a dupe for this coming up soon). This is in the shade Hue, I think one of Zoella's really old videos had this featured on there and I seen it on a lot of YouTube videos going about a couple of years ago so I thought I would go to my nearest Mac counter and swatch it, it was as gorgeous as it was seen on the video's, it has the tiniest amount of shimmer running through it but you can't tell that much once applied, it just looks like you have glossy lips and they last a good few hours, also the Mac scent hubba hubba.

5. The most disappointing

Apologies for the grubby lid, I never use this lipstick anymore so have just tossed it about I really need to give it away or something. Sorry to say Revlon your usually good at what you do but you've let me down in this department with your Revlon Colourstay Ultimate Suede lipstick in the shade high heels, the colour is beautiful a baby pink but the formula isn't so, I find it quite drying on the lips and they claim to be budge proof another false claim, the colour comes straight off after an hour or so.

6. Liner - Yes or No? -

A big fat NO on this question for me, a beauty sin of mine I am absolutely awful it looks like my son has attacked me with his crayons, I try and do it so slowly and precise and I just look like a complete clown, I watch copious amounts of YouTube videos but still haven't got the hang of it, I need a make up artist to teach me, any takers?

7. Best gloss -

I couldn't choose from these two the L'Oreal stain splashes are just lovely, they have a strange formula as they go on really wet then dry instantly on your lips to keep the colour lasting on your lips, there packaging is beautiful and I love the wand, to me it looks like a mini set of lips and makes it a lot easier to apply to your lips they also smell yummy. Then we have the Mac dazzleglass in shade dark orange, this is a sheer orange shade but can be buildable, it is not sticky at all and feels quite moisturising on your lips it has a slight shimmer and is great to put on top of a coral/orange lipstick for extra glossiness.

8. Something extra -

The Revlon lip butters and Bourjois Rouge edition Velvet matte finish lipsticks are my favorite lip products too, the lip butters are perfect for a wash of colour on your lips perfect for work and every day activities, very moisturising and come in a gorgeous array of shades for everyone's tastes. The rouge edition lipsticks are so pigmented and last all day and night, these are my go to lipsticks for a night out or if I'm going somewhere nice for the day I would recommend these both highly to you all, go get swatching in boots you wont regret it.

I tag you all!!

Interview with Jessica - Getting to Know Tag.

Hello lovelies, today I have a tag for you all, an Interview to all get to know my beautiful best friend Jessica over at Coffee&Cosmetics, I hope you enjoy it.

1. What's your name & blog name?

My name is Jess and I blog over at Coffee and Cosmetics 2. Give a little introduction about yourself.
I am 24 years old, I live in a small town called Rugeley and I work as a Receptionist and Administrator at a GP Medical Practice. I have a boyfriend called Scott who I am deeply in love with, he makes me so happy. I also run my own blog which is my little corner of the internet where I like to post about everything beauty, lifestyle, a bit of fashion here and there and everything else inbetween. You name it, I can blog about it. As well as my own blog, I also write for a blog called www.beautymotivates.com - writing up reviews, how tos and general information on blogging. 3. What inspired you to blog and your blog name?
Well I am a self taught webdesigner from the age of 11, I taught myself HTML coding, CSS and some basic design to go with it. I created my own websites (I didn't have many friends) and I would sit in my own little world creating these online domains and decided to open up my own blog which I initially used Livejournal. But as the years went by, I discovered blogger. I noticed a couple of bloggers had started blogging about beauty products, lifestyle and fashion posts too. As a fan of cosmetics, I thought why not create my own blog. Initially I had other blog names but finally decided on 'Coffee and Cosmetics' - I love coffee and I adore cosmetics, so the name goes hand in hand really. 4. What's your blog focus on and what do you love blogging about?
My main blog focus is beauty and I absolutely love writing about it but I also write lifestyle posts which can be wishlists, recipes, days out, instagram posts etc. But I love to write about products that I love using and spreading the word about my favourite brands and new releases. It really is a passion, so why not share that passion with everyone else! 5. What's your biggest passion?
My biggest passion would be to have a career as an online blog content writer which I am kind of doing already for another company/lady. But I am doing this amongst everything else in my life at the moment. I'm running a blog, writing for another blog, working full time and having a social life inbetween and it can be quite hard but I always find time inbetween to blog. My blog is one of my biggest passions, so I keep it going. 6. You've been given 20 minutes to shop for whatever you want! What do you buy?
If anyone knows me well by now it would either be stationary, makeup or food. I literally don't spend my money on anything else. Even if I don't need the makeup items that I've picked up, I will buy them and will find a use for them eventually. I will buy products that I have been lusting after. I will sometimes buy articles of clothing that I find nice or pens/notebooks that I know that I might probably use... such as for blogging purposes. But if it had to be anything at the moment it would be holiday clothes or any essential items for my jollies! 7. 4 things you want to accomplish in 2014?
- Finish off my NVQ 2 in Business and Administration. - Start a degree on Open University in Business Studies. - Get a full time job with my NVQ qualification. - Start saving up for my own place.
8. What's a must buy that you recommend to everyone? (It can be anything).
You must buy the Real Techniques makeup brush collections. Every single brush is what you need in your life. I own most of the collection and I cannot rave about them enough. They are such good quality products and you can get some of them for very cheap from ASDA. Take a look and maybe purchase some for yourself!

TAG - Three brands, three favourites.

Hello lovelies, today I thought I would start my own tag. God knows if anyone will join in but I'm going to do it anyway. The idea is to pick three make up brands and three of your favorite bits from that brand. Here is what I have chosen...

RIMMEL

My three favorite things from Rimmel are,

1.Lasting Finish 25 hour foundation, this is the best drugstore foundation I have come across if your a full coverage lover like me. It gives you that flawless finish and dries quite matte with a tiny bit of shine. I don't know about 25 hour stay as I have never left it on that long, but it defiantly stays on all day and night.

2. Kate Moss Lipstick in 03, This is the perfect nude for every day use or to a formal event. I have a little review of it in my month of lipsticks here.

3. Stay Matte powder, I get an oily T-zone so this just stops the excess oils peeping through and giving me shiny forehead syndrome. A translucent powder that is not that visible to the naked eye and just keeps my foundation and concealer in place, it does exactly what it says on the tin. I'm sure you know about this anyway every blogger and there dog has.

Kate Moss lipstick in 03

MAC

My three favorite things from Mac are,

1. Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle, This is my favorite highlighter, it gives such a gorgeous warm glow to your skin and enhances your bone structure. I like to apply this under my brow bone, above my cheeks and a little down my nose and on top of my cupids bow to make my lips look a bit more fuller.

2. Pigment in Museum Bronze, This is such a gorgeous shade, a bronze with a subtle gold shimmer running through it. This is featured in a FOTD look I have done which will be up shortly so you will see how pigmented they are. You only need one wash over the lids, no need to keep applying as it is super pigmented and it lasts for hours.

3. Lipstick in Snob, this is also mentioned in my month of lipsticks post here. A gorgeous pinky purple shade that is different from any other shade I own, its beautiful and I always get asked what it is when I'm wearing it.

MSF in Soft & Gentle on top, Pigment in Museum Bronze and Snob lipstick.

Maybelline

My three favorite things from Maybelline are,

1. The Colossal Volume Express mascara, this is my favorite drugstore mascara at the moment. It defiantly gives your lashes volume, doesn't clump and makes them look long and thick but not overly thick, its really good value and would highly recommend it.

2. Colour Show Brocades nail polish in Knitted Gold, this is just absolutely beautiful, makes your finger tips look like sparkling glitter balls. You don't have to only use glitter at Christmas time, I use it all the time. When I need a little pick me up I think sparkly nails helps and this is the one I always reach for.

3. Colour Tattoo 24 hour eye shadow cream in On and on bronze, I adore all of these what I own but this one is my favorite as I am always using it! It is the perfect base for your brown smokey eye or great on it's own. It's pigmented enough to work alone with a bit of mascara and eyeliner as when I'm not wearing too much make up I just rub a bit on my lids and I'm good to go. Very easy if your in a rush or having to travel to work you can do it on the train and you don't even need a make up brush just your finger. A highly recommended product for you all to try out if you haven't already.

If you would like to do this tag feel free! Just please link it back to my blog and take the picture too if you like. I'd also love if you tweeted me your links as I'd love to see your favorites.
