MY TOP FIVE HIGH END LIPSTICKS

Hello lovelies, if you missed my drugstore top five then the post is here, but I thought I would share with you a higher end version also. It was so hard to choose five favourites and I have also recently really been loving Mac's creme cup but it's still quite new to my collection so here are five stand out favourites from my collection.

Illamasqua Glamore- Rosepout : This is the most perfect nude with a hint of pink to go with any make up look, it's like your lips but better lipstick and lasts a good few hours, I got this in a beauty box a while back and was so impressed with it, it feels like butter on your lips its so soft and this lipstick made me buy more!

Charlotte Tillbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G - Coachella Coral : My first Charlotte Tilbury purchase was this gorgeous lipstick, I loved the coral shade and the stunning rose gold packaging, it's just to die for right? I still need to add more of these lipsticks to my collection but this lipstick is stunning and perfect for spring/summer.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - 81 Fiction : My boyfriend very kindly got me this in duty free when we was travelling to Dublin for my birthday weekend, I was over the moon when he said he would treat me at the Chanel counter, I was so overwhelmed though as I always am when I am at hughstreet stores but I fell in love with this gorgeous berry shade lipstick, it is so smooth and silky on the lips and can be as sheer or opaque as you like depending on how many coats you put on your lips.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture - 52 : You can't get more luxe than YSL packaging, it is so satisfying to stare at on my make up dresser and if I had a ridiculous amount of money I would have one in every shade. This shade I picked up though caught my attention straight away, a very bright coral and quite similar to one of my drugstore favourites (Maybelline colour sensational). This looks perfect on your lips for the spring and summer months or for a night on the town with the girls.

Mac - Crosswires : I don't know if I am the only one who gets stumped when I am at a Mac counter, especially the lipsticks, but there is just so many finishes and shades to choose from you really don't know where to start! After a blog event I did a while back I was with a lot of beauty bloggers so as much as that screams trouble to the purse it also meant a lot of help in the lipstick department, so after some discussions and opinions I picked up this and have never looked back, I adore this shade so much it goes with any make up look and you can wear it from day to night, it is super pretty, I would say suit everyones complexion and lasts around 4 hours on the lips, longer if you're wearing a lip liner but handy to keep in your bag.

Are any of these lipsticks in your top five? If you're more of a budget beauty buyer I have a drugstore version here

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #38

Nails Inc for Marie Claire

Hello lovelies, that time again where I show you what polish is covering my nails, I saw this nail polish freebie on someones Instagram and stalked every shop for it and couldn't find it anywhere! Until I was out of town one day and spotted it straight away, I grabbed it without a second thought, I love Nails Inc nail polishes and when there free with a magazine you really can't go wrong. Its like a gorgeous duck egg blue with a grey haze. It looks so stunning on my pale nails and lasts a long while, if you can tell by the swatch pictures my thumb has snapped at that ridge, I know OUCH. But I had to take these pictures before I finally braved it and cut my thumb nail off, sob.

It sadly doesn't have a shade name on it anywhere so I can't help you there and don't know their collection well enough to tell you a shade match if you was wishing to purchase this, but I would defy recommend getting it as a freebie with the magazine, it is very shiny on the nails and I think this would compliment everyones skin tone, I even popped it on my toes, with a struggle! I have a big belly now with only 8 weeks to go but they look pretty good ;)

Will you be picking up this freebie in the Marie Claire magazine or have your eye on the other shades?

NUDE LIPS AND SMOKEY EYE | FOTD

Hello lovelies, I hope you are all well and having a good start to the week! I did this make up look the other day and got a lot of compliments and a few people on Instagram said how gorgeous my eye make up was so I thought I would share with you all how I did it!

I started of as I always do with my base, I prep my skin using the Laura Mercier foundation primer, this is by far the best primer I have ever used! It doesn't make my make up slip and glide through the day it keeps it put! Then I apply my favorite foundation at the moment Rimmel 25 hour lasting finish, this is medium to full coverage, it covers most of my blemishes up and stays put all day and into the evening and I think it gives me a more flawless coverage to my face and makes me feel the most confident. I then conceal any blemishes still on show with the Mac studio finish concealer in NW15 and dab it around my nose where I get red areas, this covers them all up lovely then I go in with another concealer being the famous Collection lasting perfection concealer in fair to really brighten up underneath my eye area, then I finish that all off with a powder to keep in place using Rimmel Stay Matte in peach glow, the only powder I use, it stays put all day and doesn't cling to my dry areas at all and it doesn't feel too cakey on the skin.

After the base I like to add some color to my face so I contour the best I can with the Bare Minerals foundation in R310, I got this sample from a blogger event a while ago and thought how the hell am I going to use this foundation on my paleness? I then tried it out as a bronzer/contour and fell in love so have been using it ever since! It stays put all day too, then I give my cheeks a flush of color using the Topshop cream blusher in head over heels, its such a pretty coraly pink shade and gives my cheeks a lovely glow, I then like to add more 'glow' to the skin using Mac MSF in soft and gentle which I totally forgot to picture, woops but it is my favorite highlighter of all time.

Once I have done all that I go onto the eye area, I usually do my brows before eye shadow and things so for my brows on this particular look I opted for something easy and chose the Soap and Glory Archery Brow tint & precision shaping pencil in medium brown, this is so easy to use, you literally just draw on your desired eye brow shape then fill them in using the felt tip side to give them more definition. I then colored in my eye using a new release from Bourjois their colorband eyeshadow and liner 24hr stick in the shade Rose, such a pretty dusty pink and the perfect primer to prep for any eye shadow look or on their own. I then covered that with Mac pigment in Tan, this is such a gorgeous shade and I wore this a lot on holiday last year and everyone complimented on how stunning it was, thanks to Vivianna does make up for this find! Then I used another Mac pigment in the shade Museum bronze to give it a bit of a smokey feel and added that into the crease to make my eyes pop that little bit more, two shades that I think work really well together considering how much sparkle was going on. I then defined my eyes more using a liquid eyeliner as I think this just finished a smokey eye off using the Make Up Revolution Awesome Double flick liquid eyeliner*, it really is awesome and super cheap! It stays put all day and comes with a thick side and thin brush for applying eyeliner, I use the thinner side for more precision and accuracy and it works wonders. I then finish of my eyes using a new mascara in my collection and contending to be a new firm favorite! The Maybelline Lash Sensational Multiplying mascara, I am so glad I picked this up in boots a few days ago I haven't put it down since, it is very similar to the new Benefit release and could even be better, I will be doing a review for you all soon.

Then no make up look could be complete without a lippy right? I have been wearing this stunning nude non stop lately, it is the Mac Velvet Teddy dupe - Maybelline Color Drama Velvet lip pencil in Nude perfection, all of the lip pencils in the collection are to die for, the color pay of and longevity are just phenomenal, I have reviewed them here. I can't now stop adding all the shades to my collection, they truly are stunning and well worth the tiny £4.99 price tag.

Did you like this FOTD? I would love to see your fotd posts in the comments below for some inspiration.

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #36

MUA - Ameretto Crush £1.00

Hello lovelies, today I have for you an absolute bargain what's on my nails post, I have also chopped down my nails as my thumb nail broke sadly, does anyone else have that little heart break when one nail breaks and you have to cut the others down? I do, I hate them all being different sizes too so I had to get my cutters and file out.

This nail polish is one of my favorites, the shade is gorgeous its like a browny pink with orange undertones and pretty good quality for only one pound. You have to apply at least two coats for it to look opaque and the brush isn't the best, it is very small and not the easiest to work for but you can't have it all for a pound can you? They actually have a 3 for 2 offer on all the nail polishes too at the moment so three polishes for two pound you can't really go wrong, they have a range of shades to suit all skin tones and tastes, you have to deal with the rubbish brush but if you want cheap and cheerful MUA nail polishes are for you, they also have a few Essie color dupes.

Have you tried the MUA nail polishes before?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #34

L'Oreal Nouvelle Vague 851 £4.99

Hello lovelies, today I have a gorgeous pastel shade for you all, I am in love with this shade perfect for spring time and really compliments all skin tones I think. I was recently rummaging through the clearance baskets in my local Tesco's as they took down all there Max Factor and L'Oreal make up down so I picked up a few bargains, this being one of them I got this for about £2 and fell in love with it straight away.

I used two coats to make it more opaque, it is a lilac/off blue shade and I just can't stop staring at my nails,  it dried pretty quickly and it gives a gorgeous sheen to the nails. I love the patented brush you get with it to make an easier more precise application on the nails. The L'Oreal color riche range comes in all sorts of shades to suit your mood and skin tone etc and I love there slim sleek packaging.

Have you got a favorite L'Oreal nail polish shade?

NEUTRAL MAKE UP LOOK | YOUTUBE VIDEO

Hello lovelies, as it has been a while since my last Youtube video I thought I would upload a simple neutral make up look, I always get so scared once I have filmed and finally uploaded it but I will only get better as I keep practicing. I am no make up artist as you can probably tell after watching the video and probably do my make up totally different to you all, but I thought it would be an easier option for my first video in a while and will also be uploading a haul very soon. I have mentioned in the video all the products I have used and you can see from my Instagram picture above what was involved, if you did happen to enjoy my video please give me a thumbs up and subscribe if you want to see more of my videos in the future, as you will finally meet Oscar and the family before baby L arrives, I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

JANUARY FOTD.

Happy New Year All, I thought I would start my fresh first post in January with a 'face of the day' post, I also now plan to do a fotd once a month in 2015 as I like playing around with new looks and it shows all you lot the products I have been using. I hope all of you have recovered from the drunk fueled festivities and feeling fresh and excited for new adventures that this year may bring you and you enjoy reading my blog throughout the year.

Rimmel 25 Hour Lasting finish foundation with comfort serum, Soft beige - I most likely always start my day with this stuff, it is my favorite foundation. If I'm not going anywhere special I tend to just ditch the primer in all honesty and I don't even need it with this foundation it stays put all day, doesn't go patchy or oxidase throughout the day it just stays lovingly on my face, what a gem.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, Fair - Again one of my most used favorites, this concealer is just the bees knees, it is super affordable, lasts all day, creamy and covers pimples and big black bags a treat, well almost hides the bags.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, Peach glow - I use this daily too, I have had this powder for absolute ages and although I have hit pan it just keeps going and going, under five pounds and keeps my make up put a treat, I went for peach glow as I think it gives my skin a little pick me up, it isn't cakey at all and feels silky smooth on my skin.

Illamasqua Brow Cake, Thunder - This has been the best purchase for my eyebrows, I have tried lots of high street brands and there all great and do the job but this stuff will just sit fab on your brows and not budge at all through out the day, you can be as natural as you like with this or do big bold define eye brows, whatever takes your fancy, well worth investing in though.

Make Up Revolution Aqua Seal Liquid Eye Primer*
Make Up Revolution Pure Pigments, Agonise* - I mixed these both together for the perfect base, the liquid eye primer is amazing, super cheap but keeps your eye make up look on for hours! I was so impressed with this and mixing this with this pigment or a mac pigment just makes the eye look more intense, lasts for ages and leaves no creases at all, but I wasn't after a creamy/wet eye shadow look so after I mixed the both together and created the perfect base I dabbed a bit more of the pigment on with a different eye brush and created a more intense brown/smokey eye look which I loved.

Make Up Revolution All day and night eyeliner, Channeling my inner* - For a pretty but more subtle look to the normal black dramatic eyeliner I usually go for on top I chose this stunning bronze eyeliner to break the eye shadow up a bit and add a bit more definition.

Max Factor Masterpiece transform high impact volumising mascara, Black - The wand itself as a little arch going up to create those high impact volumising lashes with the tiniest bristles to make sure your eye lashes have no nasty clumps involved. It really makes your lashes stand out, volumising and lengthens them immensely, fab Christmas present of the mother in law.

Bare Minerals Bronzer, Faux tan - This bronzer is so smooth and soft on my skin it glides on a treat for the perfect subtle contour or a bronze all over the skin.

Seventeen Blusher, First flush* - This is quite a dark pink blusher, very warm undertones perfect for winter to give your cheeks a flushed look, rosy but warm and I have been using this a lot lately its beautiful and so affordable.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish, Soft and Gentle - This is my favorite highlighter, can you see the glow above my cheek bones? I always get complimented on this whenever I wear it, my mum loves it! It makes my skin look so radiant and glowy with the most gorgeous iridescent sparkles.

Rimmel Vinyl Jelly Gloss lip liner, Choccie - I think my mother in law gave me this a couple of months ago as she said she never wore it and to be honest it had been in my muji storage for a while till I thought finally I'll try this out, I used this all over the lips for a base and coated it with the Clarins Natural lip perfector for a nude/brown lip. I am not one for the brown lip but this is growing on me.

Clarins Natural lip perfector, 06 - I am in love with this, it isn't sticky or gloopy at all it glides on my lips like a dream and makes them feel smooth and supple, although you can see I have very dry lips at the moment this made me lips feel so smooth after application and gives out such a subtle nude lip, perfect with any eye look and a very handy size for your handbag if needed for touch ups.

I hope you liked this months quite neutral make up look, I love face of the day posts so if you have posted one recently be sure to pop your link to it below in the comments.

OCTOBER BEAUTY FAVORITES

Hello lovelies, today I have for you my favorites of the previous month, I;m actually quite early to the party for once this time but don't think this will be a regular thing, I am sure next month I'll be late again, but read on if you want to see what I loved through out October.

Benefit Majorette - I have worn this every day through out October, when I was wearing make up anyway, it is a cream to powder blusher that just smells amazing! Think peaches, pomegranetes, sweety and floral almost. You can use this as a blusher alone or as the perfect base for your usual blusher for extra oomft and flush but I always use this alone, it is the perfect shade for your cheeks to give it a really healthy glow and just makes you look radiant.

Philip Kingsley Daily damage defence - Again used all through out October every time I have washed my hair this has been sprayed vigorously through out my hair then brushed through with my tangle teezer, it has been keeping my hair healthy, knot free, smelling good and protecting it through heat products, if I have washed my hair on a night time I put all this through, brush it through then leave it in as a conditioner spray as it has got condition properties, but if I am using a heat tool the next day I give it another little spritz to make sure my hair is well protected. This product really is genius and has everything you need in one bottle, I would actually be confident in to say that I would happily through everything hair related in my hair care draw and just have this! It has been my hair saviour and this 60ml bottle is perfect for travelling with. After seeing how much I wrote about this product in my favorites I really should of done a solid review on its own, but there you go, you all need it in your life, trust me! I will be forever repurchasing this miracle hair spray, thank you Philip K.

Bobbi Brown Gel eye liner - This eye liner is fricken amazing, if you have read my post about the Bobbi Brown event I went to not long ago you would have seen that I wrote that I thought it would be impossible for me to use one of these gel eye liner pots but with the Bobbi Brown eye liner brush it is a dream to use and sooo easy! It literally glides on so smoothly and stays put for hours and hours with no smudges or anything. The key is to use confident sweeps rather than doing a little bit at a time which is where it usually goes wrong, you know when your line is just getting bigger and bigger and you just now look like you have a black eye, no one wants that. This is so simple, if I can do it you can! I have even put my trusty Maybelline Black shock gel eyeliner pen down and this has replaced it, its amazing.

Benefit It's potent eye cream - I am quite a bad blogger here, but I never actually used to use eye cream that much, I am getting better as I am coming up to 24 and I am getting worried about crows feet and any wrinkle really, I don't want to be addicted to botox so I need to keep on top of things. This eye cream has been so lovely to use, it sinks into the skin beautifully, the pot is adorable! Not a strong scent to it at all, I have noticed a difference in my dark eye bags, which has also been helped with lots of water and getting into a routine, no more late nights! But I have really enjoyed using this eye cream and will be thinking of repurchasing this in the near future.

Topshop Wicked - This has been the most perfect lip product for me through out autumn, the perfect berry lip toned lipstick which I have just adored, I have never had so many compliments from a lipstick and everyone saying how well suited to it I am and everyone asking me what it is. It stays put for hours, it doesn't smudge everywhere, it feels lovely on the lips and its is very opaque.

Nars Cruella - The only red lip product I have ever fallen madly deeply in love with, I think this deep cherry red really compliments my skin tone and brings out my eyes more strangely. It is such a stunning shade, it stays put through wind, rain, dancing, drinking, eating, you name it this lipstick could pull through it! I just love it, the only downfall is that it can latch on to your dry patches but if you keep those lips well looked after you wont have any problems with this little gem at all, its the best red ever!

If you have written about your October favorites be sure to link your's below x

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #24

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in Blackberry £3.99

Hello lovelies, I have a lovely navy dark blue on the nails this week I think it is quite an autumnal shade apparently this season is oranges and navy blues? May have totally made that up but I swear I heard it somewhere aha. Barry M nail polishes are my favorite, they last for ages and so affordable my collection is forever growing. I do find the darker colours chip easier but this didn't chip for a good 4 days without a top coat on either, who has time for top coat?

What nail polish shades are you loving right now?

WHAT'S ON MY NAILS WEDNESDAY #21

Barry M Limited Edition - Lilac Foil £3.99

Hello lovelies, today I have for you something a little different to my normal shade/effect. It is a lilac foil which is a metallic polish with bluey undertones as well as obviously lilac and hints of silver shimmer running through. The more I look at my nails the more I don't know if I like it, it looks so pretty in the bottle I just don't think its me. I got this free when spending £6 on Barry M which is very easy as I love Barry M nail polishes, the longevity is amazing and a shade for everyone. It looks very futuristic to me as metallic sort of shades do personally, I don't know why they just make me think of robots aha. Out of my collection I don't think this will be worn again so you may see this on my depop very soon!

What do you think to metallic nail polishes?

ELIZABETH ARDEN EVENT

Hello lovelies, last week I was very fortunate to be invited to the Elizabeth Arden event hosted at Debenhams in Birmingham, I attended this event with my blogging friend Hayley and got the chance to meet some other lovely bloggers too but I am so rubbish with remembering names, sorry! We was greeted by some lovely ladies who worked there with a table full of goodies including my favorite bucks fizz! I once used Elizabeth Arden when I was about 17/18 when I finally started to look after my skin I bought my first night cream I have no idea what it was but it was the best darn cream I had ever used no idea why I never repurchased it back then, probably lack of funds but now I'm a blogger its like what price tag? Any way this isn't a walk down memory lane back to the event...

I was checking out someone getting a massage at first and couldn't wait for my turn, I luckily got a shoulder and neck massage using the Ceramide gold ultra restorative capsules, I was surprised as she knew the water retention I had in my neck and the massage was just so lovely I wanted her to do my back aha.

I then had a skin consultation, very exciting looking at the technology they had to offer, that little machine there hovered over my face and told me what was right and wrong potentially, I was super impressed that I got an A in elasticity, I finally got an A in something aha, but no that really made me happy. A B in brightness, texture and pigmentation which I'm also pretty pleased with then I got a C in moisture, my biggest down fall but that week I was neglecting my skin care due to being poorly so ever since I have been upping my serum and moisturiser. They did offer us products that would be ideal to help our problem areas which was lovely.

Then lastly I had a colour consultation to get my perfect foundation shade, like the skin scanner it worked in the same sort of way placing over the skin then the lovely lady told showed us the foundations which we preferred due to finish etc, the one chosen for me was Intervene SPF 15 , a medium to full coverage with vitamins, sun protection and known to smooth imperfections and even out skin tone, it sounded right up my street.

After our lovely treatments and consultations we got to have a look at the new colours in the make-up range, there is an image of Hayley doing some swatching also, one palette stood out to me, the quad in chic browns being of-course a serial brown smokey eye lover. The lipglosses didn't look so appealing to me, until I swatched them! I thought a purple and gold shimmery gloss? No way ho-say, but after some brain cap time I thought, as the gold shimmer is quite subtle I think this would look stunning over any lip colour for a Christmas party or birthday outing for some added sass to your look, even the purple too! I was impressed with everything on show and had a lovely time at the event, so thank you very much ladies at Elizabeth Arden in Debenhams putting in some great work for us and to top it off we had one awesome goodie bag!

Before I leave the blog post there, I did pinch the group photo from the lovely Emma's facebook page after asking over at Fashion Mommy, she had a beautiful outfit on, I want her skirt! Also take full advantage of the amazing Joseph Hernandez being in Debenhams at the Elizabeth Arden counter on Thursday the 9th of October it is only £10 which is fully redeemable on the day/night. He has done Catherine Zita Jones make-up, Models and other celebrities, ten pounds is an absolute bargain, imagine the price he charges to do celeb makeovers aha? If I don't get the chance to have a makeover I might just go along to get some tips!

Huge thanks again for having us all and was so lovely to meet some new faces, becoming a blogger has really bought me out my shell sharing my love with other people with similar interests and helping massively with my anxiety, I will pretty much talk to anyone now with the occasional awkward shyness. The blogger events are the best way to make new friends and find out more about a brand, I am loving all the opportunities lately *not a brag just very grateful*.

#BULLRING BLOGGERS EVENT

Hello lovelies, this is going to be a very picture heavy post so thought I would try and break it up a little with some text here and there, I was very kindly invited to this event by a lovely lady named Emma joining some gorgeous ladies Chloe, Hayley and Sophie who I luckily know and love (my bitches), we got to the Bullring and went straight to the event and ticked our names of the list as soon as we got in I noticed the amazing spread on offer, I headed straight to that buffet table. How adorable is the big cookie in the center and the milk bottle drinks? There was a bit of everything for everyone's taste buds, they even had Nando's chicken there, yeah! After eyeing up all the gorgeous food we had a little talk about Umberto Giannini new products for frizzy curly hair to help prevent the frizz and styling products which was good to hear then a talk about some fashion pieces from Karen Millen

After our talks and a lovely welcome to the event we was then allowed to walk around all the stalls they had on for us, there was Folli Follie, Nails by Rosie, Georgio Armani, Selfridges personal shopper Rose, Wagamama, Urban Decay, Kiehls, Clarins, RMK and Shu Uemura. All the hosts presenting each stand were more than lovely and helpful and thoroughly spoke in great detail about what they did and answered all of my questions I asked. I usually suffer with real bad anxiety but I just felt so at ease there I wondered off on my own and spoke to everyone at the tables and met a lovely man called Jack who works for Urban Decay, he is a super talented make-up artist and I just fell in love with him and his green eyebrows (you will see in the pictures below, sass). I also got my nails done by Rosie who is also super talented, I have seen her work before and fell in love so was stoked I got my nails did by her finally, you can see her work on my whats on my nails Wednesday post

It was great to see brands I have never tried before such as RMK the ladies were lovely and shown me how full coverage their foundation is which I love, so I will definitely be checking them out in Selfridges next time I'm in Birmingham and Shu Uemura, I have heard of there fantastic eye curlers but not so much there other cosmetics, there lipstick packaging is out of this world! So beautiful and the lipsticks look very bright and pigmented, my sorta thang, I would recommend you checking those out. We also had the most generous goodie bags and freebies throughout the event at all the different stalls, I couldn't believe how generous they were and tester food from Wagamamas, somewhere I have never eaten before and very yummy food! I will leave the writing there and let you all enjoy the rest of the pictures hopefully, the picture quality isn't great as I forgot my camera and had to use my iPad so I apologies for that but my new camera should be here tomorrow so yay! I also want to say a massive thank you to the Bullring for having me and putting on such a lovely event and so kind of you for all the goodies we received, a humongous thank you to Tatty Devine for the most thoughtful gift - a necklace with our blog name on, how amazing and a gift card for another free necklace, say what! So so kind and I am so grateful and had a lovely evening catching up with the girls and bumping into Vanessa another blogger friend of mine, I also finally met Charlotte in the flesh from Lilmisschickas, I fan girled a little is that sad? I just love her Youtube videos and blog and was really pleased to meet her I didn't even know what to say I had a brain fart moment so apologies for that Charlotte aha but you looked fab anyway. I'm rambling now so thanks again and take a look through my snaps xxxx
