JustRite Original October Release -- Kaleidoscope Medallions

Hello! Welcome to Day 4 (of 6) of JustRite Stampers October release! Today we are introducing a new original set, JB-10005 Kaleidoscope Medallions - Interlocking.

I went with a classic cream and dark grey (which looks black) combination here and kept my card fairly simple. I random stamped one of the kaleidoscope centers on a sheet of patterned paper with light text, added a few layers and some stitching. My tag was stamped with a sentiment from Just Because Mini Sentiments and die cut using the custom Nested Frame Dies.

Here's a complete look at JB-10005 Kaleidoscope Medallions - Interlocking:

JustRite Original October Release -- Grandma's Doilies & Old Friends

Hello! Welcome to Day 3 (of 6) of JustRite Stampers October release! Today we are introducing two new original sets, JB-10010 Grandma's Doilies - Interlocking and JB-10015 Old Friends - Interlocking. Grandma's Doilies is full of beautiful doilies (both small and large) and coordinates beautifully with the sentiments from Old Friends.

My niece, Evie, and her hubby, JR, just celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary, so I made a card for them! This is a scrapbook page that I made and framed for them last year. Their colors were black and white/cream, so I used the same colors for their anniversary card. {and if you are reading this, Evie, I am sorry this is late... what can I say? I am horrible at actually mailing cards...}

I embossed one of the larger doily images onto vellum, die cut and added the sentiment, "Wishing You Happiness" (from Old Friends). All of this is layered onto one of my favorite paper collections ever by Karen Russell. Although she hasn't been designing lines lately, her Narratives line for awhile, this line is a classic (especially the black and cream, which is what I used here). I adore all of Karen's designs and was thrilled to see this come out in 6x6 size!

JustRite Cling October Release -- Lace Borders

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 (of 6) of JustRite Stampers October release! Today we are introducing CL-02205 Lace Borders - Cling. If you love border stamps and lacy borders, you are sure to LOVE this set!

I made a birthday card for the principal at Sabrina's school... Today is her actual birthday! Happy Birthday, Mrs. Crain!!

I started by stamping one of the lace borders on a sheet of natural white cardstock. Next, I added a sheet of pale pink vellum and stitched everything onto a black mat. I added some distressing to the card, scrunched seam binding, pearls, and of course stitching... the result is my version of shabby elegance!

Detail shot of embossed sentiment from All Occasion Nested Sentiments & Verse (on sale for $5):

I used the quote from JustRite's Butterfly Garden - Interlocking stamp set, stamping it first on a sheet of cardstock and die cutting with Spellbinders Labels Five Nestabilities. I also added some sponging while it was still in the die. To highlight my sentiment panel, I added it to a coordinating Want 2 Scrap Nestaboard Labels Five which I first sprayed with Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. Finally, I added Nestabling Labels Five White Pearl to frame my quote. I added some Funky Swirls White Pearls (cutting them to the size that I wanted to use) to the top and bottom of my frame. I also cut a few single pearls from the swirls and added them to my border, which was cut using one of the new Spellbinder's Classic Petals Edgeabilities.

JustRite Cling September Release -- Shabby Chic Labels Four

Edited to add direct links.

Hello! Welcome to Day 3 (the final day) of JustRite Stampers September release! We are introducing 3 cling sets that were previewed at Summer CHA in July. All sets work well together, so you may see some of the designers using images/sentiments from multiple sets. Today we are introducing CL-02190 Shabby Chic Labels Four.

Once again, I used the post card words from CL-02190 Greetings from Paris and die cut with the largest rectangle from JB-08950 Nested Frame Dies. Next, I stamped one of the ornate labels from CL-02190 Shabby Chic Labels Four, added some color to the roses with Copic markers, then I die cut it with the coordinating Spellbinders Labels Four Nestabilities. I added a little tag (also using the Nested Frames Dies) with my sentiment and tied it on with twine.

JustRite Cling September Release -- Bon Voyage

If you are looking for my Sparkle Creations card, please scroll down or click HERE... Thank You!

Edited to add direct links.

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 (of 3) of JustRite Stampers September release! We are introducing 3 cling sets that were previewed at Summer CHA in July. All sets work well together, so you may see some of the designers using images/sentiments from multiple sets. Today we are introducing CL-02185 Bon Voyage.

I started with a sheet of patterned paper that went well with the Paris theme, but I decided to tone it down a bit by adding some cream vellum over it and did some distressing. I stamped the element in the left corner and used one of the ornate labels to frame my simple sentiment. My label was die cut with Spellinders Labels Twenty Nestabilities.

JustRite Stampers Clear August Release -- Be Strong

Hello! Welcome to the final day of JustRite Stampers August release! Today we are introducing CL-02165 Be Strong, a clear set (yes, you read that right ... it is JustRite's first clear set!) of 21 frames, images, ribbons and sentiments.

JustRite Crafting For a Cause
In an effort to find an early diagnostic test or screening tool for Ovarian Cancer, JustRite Crafting For a Cause will donate 20% of the sales from Be Strong (introduced tomorrow) and Strength and Courage in 2011 to Ovarian Cancer Research. To learn more about the symptoms of this “silent killer “ visit Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.

My card is in honor of my brother-in-law who went through treatment for prostate cancer last year. I am thrilled to report that he is doing well and is now cancer-free! I created my own background paper by stamping and clear embossing the ribbon on a sheet of vellum, then I stamped a few of the sentiments (Faith, Hope, Love) around randomly. For my main image, I stamped and colored the ribbon, die cut and framed and otherwise kept my layout fairly simple so I wouldn't cover up too much for the background.

Here's a complete look at CL-02165 Be Strong:

For more details, please visit the JustRite Inspiration blog for the official introduction of this set. Also, here is a complete list of links with projects using Be Strong that you will not want to miss:

JustRite Original August Release -- Strength and Courage

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 (of 2) of JustRite Stampers August release! We are introducing just 2 sets this month, but they are very special sets. Today we are introducing JB-09930 Strength and Courage, an oval ribbed set with 4 designer centers and 4 borders.

In case you are wondering how the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance was chosen to be the recipient of Crafting for a Cause, I would like to introduce you to a very special lady who works tirelessly behind the scenes at JustRite Stampers. This lady is Amy Tedder, our fabulous illustrator and graphic designer. Amy is an ovarian cancer survivor and her story moved me to tears. I encourage you to visit the JustRite web site to read more about her story HERE.

This set is so versatile and can be used in support of all ribbon causes (see chart of ribbon colors below). I chose to make a card for breast cancer awareness as it is the one cancer that has affected so many of my friends and family. I stamped one of the centers in Memento Tuxedo Black and added some color to the ribbon with Copic markers. I die cut my image with Spellbinders Labels Ten. I used some patterned paper from Making Memories Think Pink collection (I've had this for a few years). I added some seam binding, rhinestones and a tatted butterfly (made by my cousin, Jessica of Snapdragon Lace).

Here's a complete look at JB-09930 Strength and Courage:
