LOTS OF LOVE VALENTINE'S CARDS | with Niella

Hi crafty crew! Love-ly to see you, I have got another twist on a classic especially for you! Today I have been creating with the Lots of Love collection. Swoon! Let's take a look at my super sweet and easy to re-create greeting cards! Each card has a separate front and back piece which are connected with a mini brad - instead of opening the card to read, you simply slide front and back piece opposite to each other to reveal your handwritten message on the back - pretty fun!

Lots of Love has so many ultra-sweet characters, each one holding the daintiest personality and I want to use all of them on everything this Valentine's Day! Cards are not only kind to gift, they are great elements for your paper crafting too. A scrapbook page, off the page project, presents, bottle of perfume or just because! No reason needed.

See how they slide opening crafty crew? Perfect for hidden journaling as well. I've used a scalloped heart die set from my stash - but do not let that limit you. Try a star set, tag set or even hand cut some circles after tracing around some bowls - limitless! I've used some of the cute icon stickers on both the front and back cardstock pieces from the 6x6" paper pad and the white textured cardstock from the coordinating pack, it's all from the Lots of Love collection!

Don't these look like cookies - straight out of mama's kitchen! Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you've had a crafty hit for today! Don't forget to tag us in on your socials - we're looking forward to seeing your next Doodlebug Design project! Until next time; doodle dee!

PUMPKIN SPICE CARDS | with Wanda

Hi Doodle friends! Fall has officially arrived and I am here for it! Fall is my very favorite time of year and I love Fall crafting!! Today I'm featuring some cute coffee cards made with one of my all time favorite Doodlebug Collections - Pumpkin Spice. This collection has a special place in my heart... The colors, the critters, and of course coffee! Such great themes for this time of year. To share with you today I made two coffee cards and a smaller latte notecard. All made with the Pumpkin Spice Doodlebug suite of products!

1

I used the 12x12 Pumpkin Spice papers to die cut two large folding coffee cards using a die. I added corrugated paper for the sleeve and decorated them with The Rocky Doodle Pop and the Fox and Friends Doodle Pop! I added accents with the accompanying sprinkles for the collection. The sentiments are from the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends packages.

1

I also wrapped some twine around the sleeve part of the card and added some Fall Jewels...

1

I splattered on some white paint over the coffee cup part. A coffee gift card would fit inside the card along with your message. The double sided Doodlebug Papers are perfect here so that the inside is cute too!

Here is the opened card... The sleeve slides right off.

I also made a sweet little latte notecard. I die cut the notecard from woodgrain cardstock and embellished with the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends from the Pumpkin Spice Collection. This is the perfect size to tuck into a lunch or in a gift bag!

There's my projects for today! Love you a latte! I'll be back soon with something else to share. Until then, happy crafting!

CUTE & CRAFTY SHAPED CARDS | with Kathy

The Cute & Crafty Collection is absolutely one of my all-time favorites!  The little icons all just make me happy!  I decided that they would make some super-cute shaped cards.  The only problem... which ones should I choose?  It was not an easy decision, but I was able to pick just a few!  Take a peek...

I loved the rainbow stack of pencils on the little squares side of the Perfectly Plaid cardstock.  I decided to create my own using the Cute & Crafty Pencil & Eraser SVG.  I made multiples of the pencil in a rainbow of coordinating Petite Prints.  Their little faces just make me happy!  I stacked them up and added some mini heart rainbow sprinkles and a sentiment from the This & That Sticker Sheet.

For my next card I chose to use the Cute & Crafty Bobbins SVG.  Again I used the Coordinating Petite Prints Pack to piece it together and finished it off with another sentiment from the This & That Sticker Sheet.

I love the punny sentiment!

For my last card I used the Cute & Crafty Camera SVG.  I thought it would be fun to make the camera lens a shaker.  I cut 10 circles from chipboard, stacked them up then added some Doodlebug Sequins and a piece of acetate.  To finish him off, I added a smile sticker from the Chit Chat pieces.

I have a tutorial on my blog here showing how to create shaped cards using Silhouette and a cut file here.  You could also create them in Cricut in a similar manner using the Offset and weld functions. Have you created any projects using the Cute & Crafty Cut files?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug on Facebook and Instagram.  We love to see what you create! That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

FAIRY GARDEN SHAPED CARDS | with Kathy

I am a cut file lover.  So when I saw the Fairy Garden Collection files in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop I was absolutely giddy!  I love making larger versions of all of the adorable Fairy Garden icons, I picked a few of my favorite files to create these fun shaped cards.  Take a peek...

I just love the little bugs in the Fairy Garden collection!  They are just so stinkin' cute!  The ladybug is one of my favorites.  This card was created using the Fairy Garden Bug on Toadstool SVG.  I used a variety of color coordinating Petite Prints to piece it together, and finished both cards with some sprinkles.

My next card was created using the Snail on Toadstool and Flower Patches SVG files.  That little snail just makes me smile!

I just love that Doodlebug's Petite prints coordinate perfectly with all of their collections.  It allows me to make my larger versions of their cute little icons in the exact colors as their smaller counterparts!  And the scaled down prints of the 6x6 pads are perfect for smaller pieces!

Have you made any projects using the Fairy Garden SVG Files?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram, we always love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

So Much Pun Cut Files Cards | with Kathy

I was so excited to see the So Much Pun Cut Files!  This has to be one of the cutest, most versatile collections I've ever seen... so many fun icons, it was hard to narrow my selections to just a few for this post!  I did however and here are a few cards I created using this ADORABLE collection!
As you can see I was a little bit all over the place with themes... that's the beauty of this collection, there are SO MANY uses!  My first card used the So Much Pun Stove and Cinnamon Roll files along with some new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints.  I altered the stove a bit so that the oven door opened and inside was a the bun!  I thought this would be so cute for a newly expectant mom!  Here are some close-ups...

For finishing touches I added one of the Chit Chat Pieces for my sentiment and some Cupcake Glitter Sprinkles for the cheeks!
My next card uses the Thyme plant from the So Much Plant 1 cut file and more Dot Stripe and Floral Graph Petite Prints from the 6x6 pads. I added some extra leaves to the plant to give it some dimension and the Thyme to Celebrate sentiment is from the Chit Chat Pieces.  The Happy Birthday sticker is from the Multicolor Happy Birthday Doodles Cardstock Stickers.
My third card is indeed a Christmas themed card.  It went against my normal stance on holiday decorations before their time...but I couldn't resist.  I got the idea from the So Much Pun Double Sided Cardstock which lists out all of the hilarious puns for each of the icons.  Take a peek...
First of all... how stinking cute is that llama cut file??  I used an embossing folder from Sizzix to give him a more fluffy look and added the wreath from the Milk and Cookies Window Wreath cut file.  I created the printed sentiment using one of the Bubble Sayings Bubbles from the Booville Cut Files.  He's put together using more new Petite Prints and the wreath is decorated with some Glitter Sprinkles.  I think he's just fabulous!
We'd love to see your creations using the new So Much Pun Cut Files!  Be sure to tag us on social media so we are sure to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
You can purchase the cut files in the Lori Whitlock Store and the Silhouette Store.

Down on the Farm | Cut File Cards with Kathy

I recently attended a crop with friends, and decided to make a fun shaped card using one of the new Down on the Farm Cut files which are available at the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop. As soon as I made one, my friends kept asking for more and more, each person picking their favorite animal!  Soon I ended up with a farm yard of shaped cards!  Take a peek...

These files are just so stinking cute!  I used Gingham Linen Petite Prints for these cards, the colors are perfect, and the sentiments are from the Down on the Farm Chit Chat Pack.  Here are some close-ups..

.
This card was made using the Lamb file.  I used an embossing folder to make him appear a bit more fluffy and added some Beetle Back Sprinkles for his eyes.

I've said it before, I'll say it again... ONLY Doodlebug can make a bug cute.  This little fly is no exception.  I used the Flies File and gave him some faceted fly-eyes by using some Beetle Black Jewels

.I just love this little chick in the egg... he's soooo tweet!  (sorry, couldn't resist)  I used the Chicks file for him.

This little pig in the mud puddle just makes me smile.  He was created using the Pig #3 File.

The cow was actually the first card I created with the files.  I love his cute face and the What's Moo sentiment makes me laugh every time I see it!  He was created using the Cow #2 File.
I had such a fun time making these cards!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Hi Everyone!  It's Kathy today with a couple of cards I created using the new Dragon Tails Cut Files available in the Silhouette Design Store and the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop!  I love shaped cards, add in some adorable Dragons and Vikings and you get total cuteness!  Take a peek...

I just love the Viking with Horn and Notes. (here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop)  He just said "party" to me, so I added the Party Title (here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop) to complete the look!

The dragons in this cut file collection are too cute!  I fell in love with this Dragon, (here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop)  his teeth are just too funny!  I added in the Birthday Cake, (here in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop) you could also customize this with some Skinny Alphas and put a number on the cake!

Both cards were made using Doodlebug Textured Cardstock and Gingham Linen Petite Prints.  Be sure to check out all of the new Dragon Tails cut files in the Silhouette Design Store and the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop, they are absolutely adorable and would make great party decorations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
