PARTY TIME BIRTHDAY CARDS | with Kathy

Monkeys and puppies and elephants... oh my!  I seriously cannot get enough of the cute little critters in the Party Time Collection.  Each one makes me smile.  I decided that they should be the "stars" of a couple of fun birthday cards.... take a peek...

I think the Odds & Ends are my all time favorite Doodlebug embellishment.  You can do so many things with them!  There are lots of balloons in this collection, So I decided that each critter should be holding one!  I especially love the acetate balloons!

For my first card I used the base of this card from Lori Whitlock.  I love the slider window... pull the tag and it not only reveals a sweet sentiment, but it makes the monkey look like he's floating up!

I wanted to use a bunch of the critters for one card, so I thought a pop up card would be best.  Open up the card and they all pop out to surprise you!  It would make a great "from all of us" card.

SCHOOL DAYS CUT FILE BOX CARD | with Kathy

Have you seen the new School Days Cut Files?  They are just adorable!  There are so many designs in the collection, each one is cuter than the next and they cover so many aspects of school life!  I decided to make a little box card for teacher using the Teacher Jar file.

I pieced it together using papers from the School Days and Petite Prints Collections.  For finishing touches I added some glitter sprinkles for the cheeks and a banner from the School Days Chit Chat pieces.  This would look so cute on a teacher's desk!  If you make something using the School Days Cut Files, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram.  We would love to see what you create!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

FRENCH KISS I Woof You Gift Set | With Kathy

The little icons in the French Kiss Collection are so stinking cute!  One of my favorites is the little Frenchie Dog.  He is just adorable!  When I saw the new French Kiss Cut files I knew I was going to make a card with him!  Take a peek...

I combined the Frenchie with the Box of Chocolates file to make this sweet shaped card.  I used the 6x6 pads for both the French Kiss and Dot Stripe Petite Prints collections to piece him together.  The Chit Chat sentiment was a perfect fit for the card, and then I just finished it with a heart and matte sprinkle!

I used the 12x12 versions of the plaid and navy papers from the French Kiss Collection to make the fun little Valentine's nugget box.  The box was made from an SVG file, I've linked to it below. To finish it off I added a little bow sticker from the Icons sheet.

It opens up and holds 3 mini candy bars!  I was thinking I might make another to hold some dog biscuits for my friend's pup!

Christmas Town Gift Bags | with Tya

Are you in need of some cute treat bags to give to those on your Christmas list? Look no further! I  have whipped up a few little bags that would be perfect to hold a treat, small gift or even a gift card! (or all 3!) I love making a few of these little boxes and keeping a few on hand for all of those little last minute gift giving needs!

I turned to my trusty Silhouette to make the gift bags I used this file (Christmas Bag with Handle - Design ID 50336). I also cut a label out of a scallop circle and a regular circle to mount the Doodlepop accents on. Each bag has a different Doodlepop on it. I also used a few tags from the Chit Chat die cut pieces. The tags are tied with some Christmas Doodle Twine and I also added a mini clothespin to decorate the tag.

Christmas Town Advent Calendar | With Kathy

The holidays are upon us!  I was so excited to see the new Christmas Town Collection... the little characters and icons are too cute! I thought they would be adorable as part of an Advent Calendar... so I decided to make one!   I worked with my Silhouette Model Maker Software and designed my first SVG file!  I work for Lori Whitlock so she helped me to fine-tune the details.  I'm so happy with the results, and it's even cuter using the new Christmas Town Collection!  Take a peek...

For the tree base and star I used some new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints in Grasshopper and Lemon.  I added the little pockets using some of my favorite patterned papers from the Christmas Town collection including the Festive Flurry, Christmas Cookies, Snow Much Fun, Christmas Jammies, Berry Christmas, and Merry Hearts.  I then decorated each pocket using the Icon Stickers Sheet, Mini Icons, Baby Hearts Shape Sprinkles, Holly Berries Shape Sprinkles, and Festive Flurry Shape Sprinkles.  Here are some close-ups of the pockets...

It's going to be so fun to countdown with this sweet {literally lol} calendar! Pumpkin Party Cut Files | Layout with Kathy

Not long ago, my niece sent me this fabulous picture of my great-niece and great-niece-pup.  As soon as I saw it, I knew I was going to have to scrap it!  When I saw the new Pumpkin Party Cut files which are available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and the Silhouette Store I was immediately inspired!  Take a peek...

That face!!!  Such personality!  I wanted the picture to be the focus so I enlarged it to be 9.5" x 9.5".  I backed it with some new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints in Mandarin and Lilac, and then with the Party Plaid Paper from the Pumpkin Party Collection.  I cut the Pumpkin Party - Pumpkins in a few different sizes from some Dot-Stripe and Floral-Graph Petite Prints in Mandarin.     Here's a hint to make the pumpkins look different... In addition to resizing them I also used the flip horizontally function in Silhouette to make the same file slightly different.

I also added the Web and spider from the Pumpkin Party Web Lantern file to the corner of my layout using some Beetle Black Dot Stripe Petite Prints.  I made the spider 3D by cutting two of the spiders, then cutting one so that it was just the body.  I then layered them with some foam tape between the layers for dimension.  The eyes are from the Eerie Eyes Shaped Sprinkles and the speech bubble is from the Pumpkin Party Chit Chats.

Pumpkin Party Treat Box | with Kathy

I just love Halloween... it's such a fun time, and there is candy!! ( I have no will power...)  And what better way to package up a sweet treat than with some Pumpkin Party goodies!  I made this cute little house to hold some treats for a friend, take a peek...

I started with this file from Lori Whitlock for the house and tree shapes.  I constructed the house using the Midnight Masquerade and Party Plaid Papers.  I added some Dot-Stripe Petite Prints in Beetle Black, Lilac and Citrus for the Tree, Roof and Trim.

Now for the fun part!  I embellished the house with goodies from the Icons Sticker Sheet and the Odds & Ends!  Here are some close-ups...

I just love that kitty!!!!

As a final touch I added one of the Silly Spiders Shaped Sprinkles to the chimney!

The bottom of the box opens up to hold some sweet treats!

So Much Pun Cut Files Cards | with Kathy

I was so excited to see the So Much Pun Cut Files!  This has to be one of the cutest, most versatile collections I've ever seen... so many fun icons, it was hard to narrow my selections to just a few for this post!  I did however and here are a few cards I created using this ADORABLE collection!

As you can see I was a little bit all over the place with themes... that's the beauty of this collection, there are SO MANY uses!  My first card used the So Much Pun Stove and Cinnamon Roll files along with some new Dot-Stripe Petite Prints.  I altered the stove a bit so that the oven door opened and inside was a the bun!  I thought this would be so cute for a newly expectant mom!  Here are some close-ups...

For finishing touches I added one of the Chit Chat Pieces for my sentiment and some Cupcake Glitter Sprinkles for the cheeks!

My next card uses the Thyme plant from the So Much Plant 1 cut file and more Dot Stripe and Floral Graph Petite Prints from the 6x6 pads. I added some extra leaves to the plant to give it some dimension and the Thyme to Celebrate sentiment is from the Chit Chat Pieces.  The Happy Birthday sticker is from the Multicolor Happy Birthday Doodles Cardstock Stickers.

My third card is indeed a Christmas themed card.  It went against my normal stance on holiday decorations before their time...but I couldn't resist.  I got the idea from the So Much Pun Double Sided Cardstock which lists out all of the hilarious puns for each of the icons.  Take a peek...

First of all... how stinking cute is that llama cut file??  I used an embossing folder from Sizzix to give him a more fluffy look and added the wreath from the Milk and Cookies Window Wreath cut file.  I created the printed sentiment using one of the Bubble Sayings Bubbles from the Booville Cut Files.  He's put together using more new Petite Prints and the wreath is decorated with some Glitter Sprinkles.  I think he's just fabulous!

We Make a Great Combo Treat Holders| with Tya

 I am such a sucker for a cute treat bag- so when I  saw the burger, drink and french fry icons in the So Much Pun collection, I knew I had to make a fun little treat holder set! I have had  the cute Happy Meal shaped box in my Silhouette library for ages- I was so happy I finally found the cutest way to use them!

Like I said, I used a couple of different Silhouette cut files to make my boxes. I used this one for the Happy Meal box, and this one for the French Fry box. Just to keep things to scale, I reduced the size of the french fry box by about 25 percent. 

Here are a few close ups of the boxes:

I used some Sunshine Textured Cardstock as the base of my box. I cut a 1 x12 inch piece of  Fantas-taco pattern paper and wrapped it around the bottom  edge of the box. I added a Mini Limeade Doily  to the box front. I punched a 2 1/2 inch circle out of the Sweet Stuff paper from the 6x6 Paper Pad. The burger and drink are stickers from the So Much Pun Too Icon Sticker Sheet. I backed them with some foam tape and added them to the front of the doily. The sentiment is from the Chit Chat and then I added a couple of  So Much Pun Sprinkles as well. The box is finished off with some Limeade Bakers twine tied to one of the handles. I found these really cute gummy hamburgers that I thought would be really fun to fill the box up with and give as a gift. 

Isn't that little face on the fry box the cutest? He is from the sticker sheet, the sentiment is from the Chit Chat and I added a couple more Sprinkles as well. I added a piece of the Sweet Stuff polka dot paper to the back of the box so it matched the other  box. I added a few pieces of yellow licorice inside the box for the treat.

Doodlebug Cut File Print & Cut Desk Calendar with Kathy

Hi Everyone!  It's Kathy today with a cute little desk calendar I created using a number of Doodlebug Cut files available in both the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop and in the Silhouette Design Store.  Take a peek...

I wanted to create a few gifts for friends this holiday season, but needed to keep the project manageable, lol.  I decided to make some cute little print and cut calendar pages using Doodlebug Cut files and this calendar file from Lori Whitlock (found here in the Silhouette Store).   I simply backed them with some Gingham Linen Petite Prints and added them to a frame!  Here are some close-ups of the individual months and links to the files used.  I was able to make the pages both horizontal and vertical because the frame can be set either way...
