HOMETOWN USA SMALL FORMAT SCRAPBOOKING | with Nathalie

Summer is here, and the vibrant Hometown USA collection is sure to help you document your memories regardless of the size and format of your choice. Though, I keep 12x12 scrapbook layouts, my heart is in small format (traveler's notebooks and 6x8 albums) for my daily documenting. So, when I saw the new Doodle Cut die sets, the idea for these spreads came together.

I love how these entries turned out using the die cut pieces along with embellishments from the collection.

First, I use the new Festive Florals Doodle Cuts set to create my jar of flowers for my layout. I used the the dies and papers from the 6x6 paper pad, as well a papers from the Petite Prints 6x6 paper pads. I wanted to create the frosted look of a glass, so I decided to back the jar die cut with vellum.

I completed the rest of the layout with pieces from the collection, I made sure to add small clusters of Sprinkles to tie it all together.

For my next spread, I chose to work with the new Pocket Full O' Pride Doodle Cuts for my spread. This time, I used the dies to help me create a grid style design for my page.

I started by cutting all the pieces for my little pocket using the die and papers from the Hometown USA 6x6 paper pad, and coordinating textured cardstock. I created 3 pockets, two of them are set on the right of the page. Once the flowers were in place, I added a few pieces of Chit Chat to help me tell the story.

I finished this spread by adding my photo atop the last pocket. Then used Bits and Pieces and a few extra stickers to complete the spread. I love how these turned out, and I hope they inspire your next project featuring Hometown USA! XO

HOMETOWN USA POP UP CARDS | with Kathy

I love making 3D Cards.  They are so fun, and look great on display!!  As soon as I saw the Hometown USA collection and coordinating Festive Floral Doodle Cuts, I knew what I would make!  Take a peek...

For my first card, I started with the new Festive Florals Doodle Cuts.  I created a clear jar shaker using the dies, heavyweight acetate and the new Land that I Love Shakers.  The jar pieces and flowers were cut from the coordinating Textured Cardstock pack. I also added some sprinkles and America the Beautiful shaped sprinkles to the centers.  I used the Plaid to be American paper for my base and finished it off using a Chit Chat sentiment, a heart from the Land that I Love Shaped Sprinkles and that sweet little birdie from the Bluebirds Doodle Pops!

I love the acetate fireworks in the Bits & Pieces pack and decided to use them as the focus for my next card.

I started with some clouds that I die cut from some Lily White Cardstock.  I added the acetate fireworks around them, as well as some acetate and shaped sprinkle stars which I attached to some acetate strips to make them look like they're floating.  The base of my card was created using the Summer Celebration paper.

I finished the card with some Star Spangled Shaped Sprinkles and a sentiment from the Chit Chat Pack.

Have you created any projects using the Hometown USA collection?  Make sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Socials so we can see your fun projects!  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

DOODLEBUG SHAKERS - SHAKER EMBELLISHMENTS | with Jen

I'm sure by now you have all figured out how much I love to make shakers! Whether I'm using them on a card, layout, or mini album I just love the interactive element they add. Today I have three shakers I made using the Doodlebug SVG files available in Lori Whitlock's shop. I used files from three different collections. I have a full recorded tutorial on how to manipulate the files in Cricut Design Space linked below.

First up is a fairly simple shaker using the Rainbow with Clouds from the Fairy Garden Collection. For this shaker I just used the cloud pieces for the shaker and filled them with Lily White Shaker Balls. This is a very basic shaker and not hard to make.

For my second shaker I stepped it up a bit and used the Winter Mountains from the Snow Much Fun Collection. For this shaker I used the main mountains to make to separate shakers and then layered them together to complete the overall shaker. I used the Ice Crystals and Flurry Shakers to fill. This is a very dimensional piece and would be great in a mini album.

And my last shaker I used the Cola image from Hello Again. For this shaker I made mini shakers out of some of the ice cubes inside the larger cola shaker. This one was a little bit trickier with the ice cube shakers inside, and the gap at the top of the cup between the lid and the "cola". The finished product is really fun and would be great as a card or on a layout.

Full video tutorial can be found here.  Thanks for stopping by!

DOODLEBUG SHAKERS - EASTER CHARM | with Miguel

Making charms is one of my favorite activities, especially when they're made with beautiful  Doodlebug products!  Today I made one using the Bunny Basket Doodle Cuts.  I cut several layers of foam and cardstock to give height and stability.

I placed Shakers in mint and Spring Flowers Shaped Shakers to give more fun to my project and the result is beautiful! I love the new Shakers!

To decorate, I used some Bunny Hop Chit Chats and Puffy Icon Stickers to give shine to my project.

I added crimped beads to a chain to make the keychain and add one more pendant to make it even more attractive.

Thank you as always for stopping by and don't miss out on making beautiful projects with Doodlebug products!

DOODLEBUG SHAKERS - BUNNY HOP SHAKER CARDS | with Nathalie

I think all of us love all the cute Doodle Pops, especially the shaker ones. But, now we can make them ourselves with the new Doodlebug Shakers Balls. What can I say, besides there are infinite possibilities with them. My first choice was to create a few cards with them:

I pulled my Doodle Cuts Nested Scallops, Bunny Hop collection, the Easter Card set, and foam adhesive!

I started by using the large die to cut the shape out of patterned paper and also a few pieces of white cardstock. I stacked and glued them together, with a piece of acetate between them. Then I used foam adhesive to create a close circle around the open space. I filled the shaker with the Flowers Shaker, the adhere the die cut to the card. I added a piece of Chit Chat and Bits and Pieces to complete the card.

I used the left over piece of the die cut to create my next card. I adhere a piece of acetate to the back of the die cut piece, then added foam adhesive to create a dam for all the shaker pieces. I mixed a few colors of shakers, then secured it to the card. I added a sentiment and a simple sentiment and embellishment to complete this card.

For the last card, I used the flower shape of the die set to cut 9 pieces from white cardstock, and three from patterned paper. I sandwiched acetate pieces between two layers of the die cuts to get 3 of each of the colors. Next, I filled the color die cuts with solid color shakers, and the white die cuts with the flower shakers. These are adhere to a white card in alternate form. Finally, I added a small sentiment to complete this card.

I cannot wait to keep on creating with the new shakers I have so many ideas just waiting to come together. Cannot wait to see what you create!! XO

BUNNY HOP SHAKER EASTER TAGS | with Conny

Hey there, crafty friends! You're in for a treat today as I show you how to make these lovely shaker tags using the Bunny Hop Collection and the Bunnies and Chicks Shakers!

I started by cutting out four tags measuring 3"X5" each from the 6"X6" paper pad and also cut out some acetate. After that, I used my sewing machine to stitch them together, but left the top open so that I could add the Bunnies & Chicks and Spring Flowers Shakers inside. It was such a fun and creative way to add a little extra charm! Once the tags were filled, I stitched them closed.
At the bottom of the tags, I added a cute pom pom trim and ribbon to give them a little extra flair. These tags are perfect for adding a little bit of something extra to your springtime crafts, such as handmade cards, journals, or even gift tags.
I used the lovely bunnies from the Bunny & Friends Doodlecutsfor my project. I decorated two bunnies with Mini Icons, Doodle Pops, and Mini Jewels. I also added flowers, eggs, and chickies behind the bunnies to create a cluster and used foam adhesive for dimension. To finish them off, I added a bow at the top with tulle. I'm excited to see your tags using the sprinkles and the Bunny Hop Collection."

XO, Conny!

BUNNY HOP YOU'RE MY HONEY BUNNY LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I'm so ready for my girls first Easter! I bought her the cutest bunny ears to wear and just had to scrapbook photos of her wearing them. What better collection to use than Bunny Hop! Here's my page:

I thought it would be so cute to keep a bunny theme going on my page and I was immediately inspired to do so by using the cute bunny metal die from the Bunny Basket Doodle Cut set. It resembles the marshmallow Peep candies and it's so adorable. Instead of using patterned paper for the bunnies, I decided to use the coordinating cardstock pack and I'm so glad that I did. It really made them pop off of the page.

I chose the Lily White cardstock as my base and for some extra color, I trimmed a couple of narrow strips of the 12x12 Bunny Hop paper and adhered it to the top and bottom of my page. I then took all of my die cut bunnies, popped them up on foam tape and arranged them in a circle in the middle of my page.

I left an open space on the right side of my bunny wreath for my photos that I matted using the 6x6 Paper Pad. I chose a banner piece from the Chit Chat pack and adhered that right on my photos. It was the perfect title and it was also the perfect color since it went right in the pink section of my wreath. I decided to embellish tone on tone or aka color blocking so I kept that in mind when selecting my title. I wanted to add a few bunny embellishments and the Honey Bunny Doodle-Pop was perfect to put down right next to my photos. Adorable!

Next, I wanted to add smaller embellishments around my wreath. Ones that wouldn't take away from my die cut bunnies or make it too busy. So I used floral stickers from the Puffy Icons Stickers, Icons Stickers and the Hello Spring Shape Sprinkles sheets. They added the perfect little touches around the wreath.

For some extra color, I took some Distress Oxide ink pads in coordinating colors and splattered it in each color section.

Here's one last look at this cute honey bunny page!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way. It's a lot of fun to add die cut pieces to your scrapbook pages! See you in my next post friends.
