Last week I had the pleasure of setting up a new exhibition in local cafe Have Ya Bean in Upwey's main street. The artwork isn't mine, but is by Jarf of Medieval Mirage, represented by me through Curious Bazaar and I had thought that the work would look beautiful printed up on high quality watercolour paper and framed, which it does :)
The frames are all re-used frames found in op-shops and then taken to a framer to all have matching mats cut and glass put in if it was missing. There are 10 pieces, and 3 sold within a day, which was exciting! The exhibition runs for the rest of October, if you are in the area, why not grab a coffee and check it out! There are a lot of reflections in the photos, and they look much lovelier in real life.

Canvases, prints and magnets, oh my!
I'm joining in on Creative Spaces this week, though my creative space this morning was less about the actual making and more of a stock-take and putting away of stuff I've made in the past... Now I have a bit of an inventory, I can work out what to list for sale online and what I have ready for markets. A lot of these are canvases I just took down from my exhibition in Upwey.
Since my next market is at the Anglesea Music Festival craft market in October - as planned so far, anyway - I have options as to what I will do. What do you think? Save my stock and don't make anything else new for the next market? List it all online? List some, keep some? I'm not sure!

Off they go
These are the canvases that have gone to new homes during my July exhibition Soft Light & Retrospect. I was quite happy with 9 sales altogether (these 8 canvases plus one of my framed b&w europe photos), and am also happy to have a good range still in stock ready for markets in Spring :)
I had a madly crazy weekend, with Blogopolis among other things, and have much to catch up on! One of my favourite things from the last few days is how Ash has been saying a lot "backwards next day" instead of "yesterday". He said I forgot to give him a balloon, and I said "Yes, I did forget yesterday, but you didn't remind me. Did you forget too?" and he replied "Oh, I forgot on the backwards next day, but this day I didn't forget". Hilarious boy.

Busy because...
Let's face it, I'm always busy. And if I wasn't - somehow - I would make myself busy anyway. But this last week or so has been quite full of getting this exhibition ready and this morning I had a leisurely coffee in the cafe with my sister Kell before hanging it. Cedar was quite bored of the cafe by the time we'd been there for two hours... now I'm tired and having an afternoon of not-much!
If you're local (enough), why not stop by and check it out. Their breakfasts are awesome too, and available all day :)
I'm linking up with Our Creative Spaces this week...
