FSC - Steampunk

My Steampunk DT contribution this week is very masculine. But not so if you pop over to the Fashionable Stamping Challenges blog and see the fabulous inspiration from my great DT sisters.

I started by covering my tag with a page from a steam power book showing a plan of something!! Next a layer of white acrylic paint, then inked over with tattered rose DI. I then put it through the Steampunk embossing folder and covered the raised areas with Iced Spruce DI and weathered wood distress powder.

The tickets were inked with iced spruce and old paper DIs then stamped with a TH steampunk stamp in walnut stain. The gentlemen are from the Tim H Steampunk stamp set, stamped in walnut stain and then embossed with clear EP.

Love this propeller shape with a nut in the middle of it. These were inked the same as the tickets and I used the TH steampunk set of stamps again.

A few manly embellishments from the tool box and finito.

I look forward to seeing your creations in the challenge over the next fortnight.

Have a fun Sunday whatever you are doing.

MAWTT Challenge 81 - Dream

Hello Everyone I hope your week is going well.
It is my turn to host the challenge over at MAWTT this week and did you know that it is "Make your dreams come true day" today. So I chose the theme of DREAMS this week which can be interpreted in any way you like.

I have this fabulous TH stamp that I hadn't used and it fitted perfectly, I just love the sentiment of it.
I made this using ribbed kraft card for the main background and used a Tattered Angels mask and text stamp, edged it with DIs and stickles and overstamped the TH birds on a wire. The sentiment has DIs over it and mounted onto black card. I have included a glossy accents covered butterfly, TH Dream ticket which I mounted and ink distressed, a ribbon flower I made with a button added and a pin and beads behind it and attached a glossy accents covered heart with a small pin. The last little element was cut on the cricut. I found out how to do the flower on the internet with wired edge ribbon and it is great fun and so easy to make.

Supplies-
Stamps - TH Visual Artistry Life's Possibilities
DIs - crushed olive, peeled paint, forest moss, frayed burlap and barn door.
Diamond stickles.

Thanks for stopping by and thankyou for all the lovely comments you give me, they are soooo appreciated.

Have a great Thursday.

Joy to the World

I know I haven't really got time for this BUT.... I had bits left from my CCC earlier in the week and I just wanted to use them up and I saw the red, black, white and yellow challenge at Just Us Girls which fitted perfectly with the alcohol ink splatter pieces I have got. I also found this great sketch at Create 4 Fun - I will definitely be using the splatter technique again (it reminded me of when I used to make a similar pattern with paint and straws when I was teaching eight and nine year olds) -.................  so here is my card.

The image of the angels is another from a Gaby Braun collage sheet and the frame is stamped from Invoke Funky Frames set. The ticket is from Stitchy Bear digi stamps. The coloured papers are a very old set of Christmas Brights from HOTP and the black and white is from an un-named stack pack. The only other bits are a pin and beads and star dust stickles.

I hope you have a good Sunday.

OSAAT challenge card - Anything Goes

Happy Sunday everyone.

As you read this I will be on the south coast at Swanage and I hope the weather will be favourable as I am taking my Mum away for a break. Some of you know that we always hire a beach hut for the time we are there and this is the view from where we sit. (I am guessing the weather will not be as warm and as clear as in this photo as it was taken a couple of years ago). But we will hopefully enjoy the sea air and get some good weather.

I scheduled my sneak peek yesterday and this post today, but will have my laptop with me to keep in touch. Did you correctly guess what the challenge was?

Well as you can see, this week the challenge at OSAAT is 'Anything Goes' and is sponsored by Crop Stop. They have a huge menu of crafting goodies for you to peruse and they will be giving the winner a $15 voucher to spend in their shop. So pop on over to see what is in the store.

I have chosen to use an image by Robyn's Fetish this week called Katy Kittie, and I think she is really cute. I have chosen to use the vintage style again and hope you like the colours, they are rather different for a change.

Please pop over to the OSAAT challenge blog and take a look at the great creations from my wonderfully talented team mates.

In the meantime I hope you are having a great weekend.

Take care. Luv B xxxx
