They were amazing!

strange stripes
Last weekend we were in Hasselt for 'Theater op de markt'. On several houses and buildings, I noticed silver stripes and that made me curious. Someone told me to go the Radisson hotel's top level and there I saw the strange foiled stripes come together in 'trois ellipses ouverts en désordre'.
Realised by Felice Varini.

cardboard tower
Olivier Grossetête, a Marseille based artist makes buildings out of cardboard boxes and tape, with help of volunteers.
We saw this tower in Ghent at Miramiro (streettheatre festival) last weekend. Huge and impressive...until the rain came. Watch it going down here.

little frame
I crocheted this frame using a bracelet as base and cotton thread for our info*matic (playing this weekend in Amiens, France!)
so easy peasy to do.
you don't need to put a picture in it, it's cute by itself.

zuiderpark spelen
I was in Rotterdam yesterday, with the Ripopolo's for this cute little festival "Zuiderpark spelen'.
Beautiful park, sunny day (a bit too windy, but hey, no complaining) and nice things to see for free!

ici-ou-la
while we were at a little cute festival in indre (france), we took the opportunity to visit nantes and la machine.
sitting in the huge carrousel (three levels!) on a scampi, we felt like kids again (actually we always do).

bodies in urban spaces
Last sunday, I was at de groote stooringe, a great street theatre festival with lots of nice acts.
This one, "Bodies in urban spaces" (by willi dorner) stole my heart.
A group of 20 performers cling togheter in the most bizarre compositions: under, above, around and in between the skin of the city.

Royal de Luxe
We went to see Rue de la Chute yesterday evening.
Last two performances are this weekend, each day at 16h, free entrance!
It was a looong piece (2 hours!) with lots of french talking (they really like to hear themselves talk, those french :) and not all jokes were equally good....but the costumes, special effects big and small, and especially the mechanic animals and attributes made up for that.
