Marseille

The girls went to Marseille last weekend and had a great time

Our tips:

1. Notre-dame-de-la-garde  (take the little tourist train at Vieux Port) gives you a breathtaking view         over the city, do it by sunset!

2. Apéro at La Caravelle: great mojito's and a little balcony in the sun at Vieux Port.

3. Au Vieux Panier: a shop where they only sell typical french things (rue du Panier)

4. Mucem: we only visited the outside(it's for free), took the passerelles and had coffee on the terrace.

5. Les Calanques: visit its dazzling white limestone fjords by boat. (departure at Vieux Port)

6. Diner here

7. Café: here and here

8. Buy some famous Marseille's cookies called "Navettes" here. Best in town.

9. Lunch: Café de l'abbaye

10. Diner Chez Etienne (Rue de Lorette 43): pizza & more

 

mushroom spotting

...it's autumn allright!
so many mushrooms around the horses meadow and NO idea whatsoever which ones are edible...anyone any good tips?

(suspect the first, fluorish yellow one could possibly be a tiny bit poisonous :-)

hell yeah

Last saturday, our friends said "yes" for real (as we already celebrated it last year in France).  Beside  of being a witness, we were in charge of the dessert buffet and its toppers (and a little bit of decoration too).

Akihiro Mizuuchi, an illustrator and designer from Shizuoka (Japan) created these yummie chocolate Lego creatures. For me, the Eiffeltower in dark blocks, please :-)

summer in the city

If you're out of money or don't like to travel, you can get a instant holiday feeling in Antwerp's summerbars. 

This one is "de zomerbar", very relaxed, with a summerlibrary, a playground, petanque, ...

el paraiso

And after Seville, five days in El Paraiso where friends have an organic little farm in the middle of nowhere (well, it is in Aroche, Andalusia). Vegan food, back to basics but what a view and nothing to do, except the small talk about the weather...
