Howdy all! It’s Day Two of the Power Poppy reveal for July 2014! We’re so happy you could join us today.
Once again, we’re introducing a new digital stamp for this month. Check out…. Geraniums…
For today’s reveal, I chose to keep my card design simple. I took the stunning “Geranium” digi stamp into my photo editing software, shrunk it down a bit, duplicated it a few times and created a wreath of blooms to surround my sentiment. This is WHY I love digital stamps… so many possibilities!
Once I printed my creation, I coloured it using Copic Markers with two shades of purple and a splash of pink.
Now… come and see what my fellow Bloom Brigaders have created with this fine digital stamp…

Introducing… Arranging Roses!
Hello everyone and welcome to Day One of the Power Poppy July reveal! We are so happy you could join us. We have so many wonderful images for you this month and once again, we have gone completely digi this month! this means you can satisfy those stamping wants right away! Let’s get started…
Introducing… Arranging Roses!
This wonderful new digi stamp is bound to get your colouring and creative juices flowing. The beautiful roses are accompanied by some delicious looking strawberries and the whole image comes with a delightful sentiment by Thoreau.
I chose a grey and blue colour scheme with a pop of red for my card creation today.
Here’s a quick close up of my coloured image. I added a tiny bit of Glossy Accents to my berries to match the “bling bling” of my decorated bow.
I hope you enjoy your journey with the Bloom Brigade as they share some more amazing creations with our newest stamp set, “Arranging Roses”…

Today I’m sharing a fun card I created for Splitcoaststampers Card Sketch for this week. I was browsing through my 6x6 paper pads and discovered a cool pad of paper from Authentique featuring denim patterned papers. I thought… “Boy, that would make for some cool paper piecing!” So off I went and found the delightful “Springtime Love” stamp set and stamped and cut away…
I thought it turned out rather kinda cool! So come on over and play along with us this week.
Here is a little sneak peek at what Power Poppy is revealing this week…
AND… the Bloom Brigade is sharing all kinds of other sneak peeks of the July release today on their blogs. Make sure you check that out…

Get Your Sketch On at StampNation!
Over at StampNation today, the Dream Team are revealing their challenge creations for this week; it’s a sketch challenge!
Here’s a quick sneak peek at all of the amazing card creations this week…
I always love a good sketch and this week’s sketch by Maureen is no exception! Here is another card I created using her design…
I first created the unique rosy back ground using the gorgeous 3 step stamps, “Painted Flowers” by Altenew. I used one one ink colour for the blooms and another single ink colour for the leaves. I first stamped off the ink on to a scrap of paper to achieve the lighter tone of both colours. A fun technique!
To add a bit of shine, I added some Sakura Glaze pen to the title and some fun sequins from Pretty Pink Posh to my sentiment.
Thank you to Altenew for the opportunity to use your stamps! I thoroughly enjoyed using them this month.
Hope to see you at StampNation!

Supplies:
stamps: Altenew (Painted Flowers), Hero Arts (You’re So Kind)
cardstock: Recollections, Flourishes, Vellum Paper
ink: Memento, Ranger Distress Inks

What's the Word, Nerd?
Lately I have been really bogged down with deadlines and therefore no real time to just sit and colour (my favourite thing to do!)... so this weekend, I actually took some time to just sit down and colour... just 'cuz!
Awhile back I had won some fun stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie's were I had participated in one of their challenges. The stamp arrived last week and I knew I just had to get them all inky! So with their Online Krafty Krop going on, I thought I'd work away at one of the 5 challenges posted:
I chose challenge #2: paper piecing.
For my image, I chose the stamp set "Smarty Pants" to paper piece. I wish now that I had stuck with one specific colour scheme for my card but oh well! Too late! I was all over the place with this one! LOL!
I paper pieced her book and her desk and the rest I coloured using Copic Markers.
Thanks for stopping in! I hope I get a chance to create some more for the KK Krop challenges. Have a great weekend everyone.

Feathered Spirits
Hello fellow stamp lovers! The Bloom Brigade is back again this week to share some fabulous Power Poppy creations and have you play along again! Will you be the newest Peep of the Week?
This week I chose to keep my card pretty simple. I chose to play with just ink and stamps.
I started off with a small piece of water colour paper and some Ranger Distress inks; Dusty Concord and Broken China. I dabbed them randomly on my work surface, spritzed it with only a tiny bit of water and then patted my paper in the inks. Wow! I just love how the ink dots layered and blended…
Then I used the darling feather images from the Marcella’s Mixtape Vol. 1 stamp set and some white and light mint green embossing powders to add over top of my inky paper. I also created my own patterned paper for the back ground and added a sentiment using the Good Thinking: Renewal stamp set too!
Now it's your turn! Come and play along this week with the Bloom Brigade! Anything goes for this week's challenge!
HERE'S HOW TO PLAY ALONG:
All you need to do is use the linky HERE and share a new Power Poppy creation. It’s just that simple! It can be anything -- a card, an altered item, a 3D creation, a set of cards, ANYTHING!

Let’s Get Graphic!
This week at StampNation, the Dream Team and I are going graphic!
We were challenged to create a card using this photo as our inspiration…
Check out this week’s sneak peek of all the Dream Team creations…
I thought I’d share another graphic beauty with you here on my blog too. StampNation is being sponsored this week by the amazing stamp company, Altenew! They have an amazing array of stamp sets and I love how they stamp.
I first started my card by creating my harlequin back ground. I used a “harlequin” mask from Tim Holtz and I air brushed my rainbow effect Copics across my stencil. I wrapped my two silver ribbons around the end of my panel and attached it to my card front.
For my flower, I stamped the image from the Altenew “Hennah Elements” stamp set using Memento “Angel Pink” ink onto white cardstock. Then I coloured in my flower with Copics. I added the stamp stamped image right over top of it, using Versamark ink and white embossing powder over top. (Copics don’t get along with embossing powders very well!!!)
Then I stamped two of the fern-like leaf stems onto vellum and embossed them with white embossing powder and added some silver pen to the ends.
Thank you to Altenew for the opportunity to use your stamps! I thoroughly enjoyed using them.
Hope to see you there!

Tulips Thoughts
Howdy all! It’s Wednesday and time for another fabulous card sketch at Splitcoaststampers! I’m lucky enough to be your hostess this week so I hope you have a fun with my sketch.
I began my card using some Versamark ink and some white embossing powder. Once it was heat embossed, I used some Ranger Distress Inks and watercoloured in my tulips and their back ground. My delightful image comes from the new Power Poppy stamp set, Dynamic Duos: Peonies & Tulips.
So come on over and play along. Here is my sketch design for this week: SC493:

Wanna Be Our “Peep of the Week”?
Hello happy crafters! It's Friday and this week we have a brand new "feature" on the Power Poppy Blog! This is not only a day when the Bloom Brigade will show you some of their latest creations, it's a day when we ask YOU to show us your stuff! That's right -- we want to see YOUR creations!
So I thought I would go back to Power Poppy's first reveal and play with my "Azalea" stamp set.
I first created my back ground using two of the images from the stamp set with SU! and Memento inks. I just love the vibrancy I got from combining the two colours together.
Then I stamped my large Azalea image onto white cardstock and water coloured my image using Ranger Distress Inks and the corresponding SU! inks. Here's a close up of my water coloured flowers and I also added some glimmer to their stamens:

It’s Wednesday and time for another fabulous card sketch at Splitcoaststampers! This week we have a fabulous sketch with lots of cool layers. You can check it out in the Card Sketch forum here.
Here is my card using Power Poppy’s newest release, “Sassy Succulents”. I chose to layer all of the cute little cacti in the set to create a focal scene for my card.
Here's a little close up of my flowering cactus. Not only does he have blooms, but he has glittery blooms!

Flat & Ready to Mail!
This week I wanted to participate in the “Clean & Simple Cards” challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. This week’s challenge was to create a CAS style card that is quick and stackable.
So I grabbed some rustic cream cardstock, stamped this glorious Lavender image from Power Poppy and then drew on the lines to create the panels within my design.
I quickly coloured in my image panels using Copic Markers and voila! My card was born.
Here’s a quick close up…
For my card design today, I used this week’s Card Sketch from Splitcoast too: SC491:

Power Poppy Hoppy!
Welcome to the Power Poppy Blog Hop! For Marcella and the Bloom Brigade we have had an amazing time sharing our creations using the newest Power Poppy stamp sets: Lavender, Play Ball!, Sassy Succulents and finally, Dynamic Duos: Peonies & Tulips.
Needless to say, my focal image wasn’t what I had planned in the end. It actually happened by happy accident! I had begun colouring the sprigs of lavender from the new “Lavender” stamp set using my Copics when I had a BIG wet blob drop out of my marker and onto my cardstock! Oh no! And then I looked at it again… maybe I can fix this! So I took the same marker and began to add more “blobs” of colour… and VOILA! My back ground was born!
I decided to take my back ground idea and transfer it to the inside of my card too..
I hope you enjoy your blog journey with us today! Now… check out what my fellow Brigaders have created for you…
