Catherine Pooler Designs ~ Holiday Magic Collection

Happy Saturday everyone!  We have a brand new Catherine Pooler Designs holiday collection coming to the shop!  This collection is called Holiday Magic and has two main bundles plus a whole lot more!

Today and for the next week, I'll be sharing projects featuring products from the "Greenery of the Season Bundle".

We're going to start with the stunning "Greenery of the Season" stamp set.  I wanted to create a soft, rustic feel so I kept my colors subtle and my design simple.

I started by masking off the background of my card front panel.  I blended some Wintergreen ink 3/4 of the way from the top to the bottom of the area.  Then I blended a very light layer of Sage ink at the top. Before removing the masks, I splattered some gold paint across the panel.

Next I stamped a series of greenery pieces from the "Greenery of the Season" stamp set on a separate piece of paper using Icing on the Cake ink.

I used some Buttercream ink to stamp the centres of the Poinsettia flowers & Mistletoe berries. I used Sage ink to stamp the pine boughs, and finally, I used a blend of Sage and Wintergreen for the Holly and the Mistletoe.  I die everything out with their corresponding dies.  I popped up all of the greenery using my 3M Foam Adhesive.

For the final touches of my card, I used some Champagne ink to stamp the greeting, also from the "Greenery of the Season" stamp set.  I used a clear embossing powder to set the ink so it wouldn't smear.

For a further touch of bling, I added some Wintergreen Sequins in and amoung my greenery.

Mare sure you join Catherine and Erika for all the live action!

You can check out these lovely ladies over on the Catherine Pooler Designs Facebook page or on their YouTube channel.

In honor of the anniversary of September 11th, this collection will go sale on TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 10th instead of the normal Wednesday reveal.

If you are a member of StampNation, you will be able to purchase your Holiday Magic goodies EARLY.  Sign into the CP Shop using the same email you use for StampNation and the products will be in the shop at 12 noon EST on Monday.

You're going to love all this holiday goodness!  More card creations coming tomorrow!

Happy shopping!

Catherine Pooler Designs ~ Lots of Kitties

The Catherine Pooler Designs newest collection, "Birthday on the Go" is now in the shop!

Today's card features both the "Pedaling By" stamp and die set plus the very cool "Serena Cover Plate Die".

I thought all those rainbow kitties from the "Pedaling By" stamp set would fit purr-fectly in the openings of the "Serena Cover Plate Die".

I decided to add the whimsical greeting from the "Look Who's Talking Sentiments" stamp set and it's coordinating dies.

I think it turned out pretty cute!

Hope you have a great week!

Catherine Pooler ~ Holiday De-Lights Collection

The new "Holiday De-Lights" collection will be in the Catherine Pooler Designs shop on Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing some new stamps and patterned papers coming this week.

I really wanted to make some fast cards so first I stamped all 5 mugs from the "Holiday Mug Shots" stamp set and colored them up using Copic Marker colors that matched the patterned papers I chose.

I just had to use the sweet little elf hat paper from the "Holiday De-lights" patterned paper pack.  I chose to use the Santa and reindeer mug paired together on this paper...

The next card features the Christmas tree mug.  To get the "candy" looking paper, I cut the tops off the ornament patterned paper.

For my final card, I paired the sweater and snowman mugs together!  I think the snowman mug is my favorite of all 5 mugs!

Coming Up with Catherine Pooler this week...

Howdy and Happy Monday!  I hope you've had a wonderful weekend!

Today I'm sharing a very simple CAS card today!  I always find it very challenging to make a CAS style card so I wanted to do that today.

This card features the brand new "Farm Life" stamp set from Sweet Sentiment... just released this past Saturday.

I began by stamping my little gardener and the card's sentiment using Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink.

Then I colored her in using Copic Markers.

Copics used:

  • Hair: E29, E27, E25
  • Skin: E13, E34, E31, E00, R20
  • Jeans: B99, B97, B95, B93

  • Greens: YG17, YG03, YG01, YG63
  • Carrot: Y38, Y17, Y15
  • Sky: BG0000

Isn't she adorable?!?!

I added my panel to a fun pink gingham and my card was complete!  So easy-peasy!

Three Room Studio ~ Puppies & Stencils

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today a new Saturday Challenge is up for Three Room Studio!

This week's challenge  is to create a project using some kind of stencil!  Super easy!

For my card I began by stamping the blanket wrapped puppy from the "Doggie Spa Day" stamp set using Copic Markers.  I used some purple inks and my "Star Ray Full Stencil" and created a simple backdrop for my puppy.

For the sentiment I used the "hey" from the "Hello Friend" stamp and die cut it using it's coordinating die.  The "sweetie" is from the "Hello Friend" stamp set too!

Now, check out my fellow Design Team members...

Spring Bingo & a Card!

Hello Spring!  Here in Medicine Hat, Alberta we have seen many signs of Spring this week! I saw my first robin in a tree in our front yard yesterday!  The snow is completely gone from our yard due to the beautiful PLUS TEENS weather the last few days and the river is flowing fast and furiously!

Today I thought I'd share a fun and easy card today featuring the new "Celebrate Spring" goodies from Catherine Pooler Designs.

For my card I began by stamping the fabulous "Coming Up Roses Background" using Twilight ink.  Then I created a front panel with a circle cut out for a shaker element.

Next I stamped my flowers and greenery from the "Fresh Picked Floral" stamp set in Midnight ink and then added some accent colors to each item using Minted, Be Mine and Tiara inks.  I then die cut them out using their coordinating die set.

Next I created a tag from the "Heart-n-Tags Die" set, some Happy Mama patterned papers and a beautiful sentiment from the "Mothers & Daughters Sentiments" stamp set using Be Mine ink.

I assembled the whole thing using foam tape to pop up my front panel and filled it with some new "Helsinki Sequins".

I had blast making up this fun card!

Tomorrow is the day!  Join Catherine, Erika and some of my fellow Brand Ambassadors for a stamping party and take on the Spring BINGO challenge over at StampNation!

Then I stamped a series of flowers and greenery from the "Fresh Picked Floral" stamp set all over the fun patterned papers of the "Happy Mama" 6x6 papers!  So much!

A simple sentiment from the new "Mothers & Daughters Sentiments" stamp set in Midnight ink and the card was complete!

Rainbow Wishes

Happy Saturday everyone!  It's time for another fun Saturday Challenge for Three Room Studio.

This week our challenge is to create a card using a RAINBOW.

For my card today I first stamped my fairy from the "Believe in Fairies" stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her using Copic Markers.  I used subtle, light Copic Markers to create the rainbow back ground.

I added some Star Dust Stickles to her wings to make them shiny!

At Home ~ Que Sera, Sera!

Happy Tuesday!  Today I thought I'd share a fun and really easy card to make using the brand new "At Home" release from Catherine Pooler Designs!

I began today's card by masking off a rectangle in the center of my card base. Inside the rectangle I blended Do-si-do, Bellini and Flame inks.

I die cut the "Plant Stand Slimline Die" out of some lightweight cardstock and I'm going to use it as a stencil.  Without removing the masks around the rectangle, I temporarily taped my stencil down across the rectangle and add some Nuvo Glacier Paste in Golden Era through the stencil.

Next I stamped and die cut one of the kitties from the "Just Roll With It" stamp set in Midnight ink. and popped him at the bottom of that rectangle.  I also stamped a sentiment from that same stamp set and added it to the stamped banner from the "Notes of Love Sentiments" stamp set using a blended banner of Do-si-do and Bellini inks.

If you look at the image below carefully, I took my card front and add a little bit of scoring all around the edges of that colorful rectangle too!  Such a simple detail to add to a card!

I added a few Valencia sequins to finish it all off!

Hope you're having a crafty week!

Today I am using the beautiful "Potted" 6x6 patterned papers and the sweet little kitties from the "Just Roll With It" stamp set.

First I cut a white rectangle and masked an oval towards the upper centre of the panel. I created the mask using my "Nested Ovals Dies".  I blended Melon Ice and Catching Rays inks with the oval.

I took my sewing machine and some matching green thread and sewed in some ray lines before I stamped, colored and die cut my little kitty from the "Just Roll With It" stamp set.

I had left my kitty white but colored in the potted plant with Copic Markers.  I left my coloring very simple!

Three Room Studio ~ Rich Cocoa Browns

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome to another fun Saturday Challenge with Three Room Studio.

This week our challenge is to create a card using some a MONOCHROMATIC color scheme.  It's that easy!  Choose any color you wish!!

I began by choosing the color brown so I grabbed my Momento Rich Cocoa ink and my darling "Mermaid at Heart" and "Welcome Little One" stamp sets.

I stamped the mermaid and turtles and then used my Copic Markers to color everything in.  I used E21, E13, E23 and E49.

I used my Copic Airbrush and added a little bit of inking and splattering across the background.  Plus I used the "Red Gold" paint from my Gansai Tambi "Starry Night" paint palette and splattered it across the back ground too.

To create a tiny bit of highlights, I did go in with my White Luminance pencil and added some to each turtle, the mermaid and also the sentiment.

Now, check out what my fellow design team member have created to share with you today...
