Sweet November Stamps ~ Fairy Hair PLUS a Sneak Peek

Happy Saturday!  We have all kinds of fun being sneaked today over at Sweet November Stamps. We have some brand new clear stamps coming next weekend and we're sharing all kinds of fun images for that release.

So this week's card features a clear stamp from last Spring in honor of our new Spring release on the horizon.

Today's card features the adorable "Fairy Hair" stamp from last Spring.

I began my card by creating the card base with Sweet Sentiment's "Hive Flower Stencil".  I used some Distress Oxide inks on this multi-step stencil; Scattered Straw, Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick.

Next I created the shaker aspect.  I die cut a round frame from the Prism Studio "Nested Stitched Circle Dies", backed it with acetate and added some Sweet November Stamps "Fairy Magic Sequins" inside before closing it.  It has some translucent fairy cut outs, some cupped daisies and cool round sequins.

Then I stamped one of the sweet little fairy from the "Fairy Hair" stamp set using Rich Cocoa Memento ink and colored her in with Copic Markers.  I fussy cut her out and added her to the shaker circle.

And finally, we have new Clear Stamp release coming next weekend. Meet the little bee from the "Bee-utiful You" stamp set...

Stay tuned for more SNS creations!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Handyman Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday all!  Today is actually my final post for the Sweet Sentiment company as a design team member.  I made the decision a month or more ago that I needed to slow down just a bit with my design teams and needed to do a little pruning.  So I have decided to leave Sweet Sentiment and also Stamp Anniething.

For my final card, I wanted to use the cool "Handyman" stamp set and the Handyman icon with all the fun tools sticking out the top but I modified it slightly and added the words "Happy Birthday" underneath the Handyman aspect of the badge.

I stamped out 3 of the four handy people from the stamp set on SS Premium Coloring Cardstock and colored everything up with my Copic Markers.

There are actually coordinating "Handyman Metal Dies" that go with this stamp set but I don't have them so I fussy cut out everything.

To finish off the card, I die cut a rectangular piece of woodgrain cardstock to mount our images.

I stacked all that on some fun orange plaid paper to finish it all off.

A big thanks to Jammie and Sandy for allowing me to be a part of your amazing company for the last year.  You both inspire me to get creative!

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Blue Beauty

Howdy and happy Monday all!

Today I'm sharing one of my cards featuring some of the brand new Sweet Sentiment November release stamp sets.

I began my card by taking that cool over-lapping squares stamp and creating a subtle grey back drop.

Next I stamped out the bloom pieces with Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink on to Sweet Sentiment Premium Coloring Paper and colored them in a vivid blue Copic Marker ink.

I just love how that bright blue sets off the sparkle built into the Premium Coloring Cardstock!

Make sure you check out the Sweet Sentiment Facebook group for more inspiration!

Sweet Sentiment ~ November Release is Here!

Welcome to the November release for Sweet Sentiment!

This month's release is jam packed full of wonderful projects and has lots of cool masculine inspiration too!

Let's start with the adorable new "Handyman" stamp set!  This sweet stamp set features 3 female and 1 male handymen.  Each individual is featured doing something DIY!  Plus this stamp has lots of cool sentiments and logo type images.  This set also has an accompanying outline slice die too, here.

For my card today, I stamped out little masculine carpenter and colored him with Copic Markers.  Then I paper pieced on a sweet little tartan jacket for him to wear.  I placed him as my "I" in the "DIY" aspect of my card and added him to a tartan and circuit embossed background.

Check out that fun little tartan shirt...

Our release this month is mostly construction themed products, so there are a variety of fun stamp sets with coordinating slice dies to suit your fancy!  Plus there's as a new stencil called "Caution Tape Stencil" that would suit these themes perfectly.  Everything from this release is shown down below!

Well we can't forget the floral side of things this month too!  We have abrand new 3D floral stamp and die set for you too this month!

Meet... "Peccable Primrose"!  This stunning stamp set features a 2 piece primrose image, a variety of leaf shapes, a few buds and some beautiful sentiments too!

With flowers, I always love to search the web for cool species of cool looking blooms.  I found this one bright pink primrose that had variegated petals with darker pink strips so I attempted to mimic that with today's card!

I just love how they came out!

Be sure to check out the Sweet Sentiment Facebook group for more inspiration for this month's release!

See you soon with more card creations!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Life is Good!

Today's card is all about the fun new "Life is Good" stamp set from Sweet Sentiment!

For my card today I started by stamping the cool ankh symbol as my background.  I stamped it in an array using some Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink onto Sweet Sentiment Premium Coloring paper.

I used my Copic Airbrush system and added a gradient of brown color from the center of the ankhs and also a fine splatter of brown.

Then I stamped a single ankh symbol and masked around all the inner pieces and then stamped the background patch of hieroglyphics in those voids.  I kept my coloring simple and used only browns and blues.

Make sure you check out all the new products over at the Sweet Sentiment Shop!

Have a great week!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Oh Mummy!

Happy Saturday all!  Today I'm sharing another fun Sweet Sentiment creation with you!

The October release is in the Sweet Sentiment shop for you all to check out.  Today I'm featuring the "Hi Mummy" stamp set.  This stamp set also has a coordinating die set too, here

For today's card I wanted to use that adorable mummy stamp set.  So I masked off the ground and a moon shape and used my Copic Airbrush system to create a night sky.  Then I drew in a creepy old tree.

I stamped my little mummy on the SS Premium Coloring Cardstock, colored him up with Copic Markers and then fussy cut him out and adhered him with 3D foam onto my scene.

Who doesn't love making a fun moon scene for Halloween cards?!?!

Thanks for stopping by today!  See you soon!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Cleo and Egypt

Happy Tuesday all!  Today I'm sharing a fun Sweet Sentiment creation with you!

The October release is in the Sweet Sentiment shop for you all to check out.  Today I'm featuring the "Cleo & Egypt" stamp set.  This stamp set also has a coordinating die set too, here.

For today's card I grabbed some Premium Kraft Cardstock and my Polychromos Pencils.  I stamped the Cleo and pup image in black ink and colored them in.  I fussy cut them out and placed some 3D foam adhesive underneath them along with a mess of gold thread.

To create the background, I stamped the hieroglyphics stamp image from the "Cleo and Egypt" stamp set through a peaked arch mask.  I think this little stamp is my favorite in the whole release!

If you haven't already jumped over to the Sweet Sentiment shop already, you might want to check out our Facebook page here too!

Have a great week everyone!

Sweet Sentiment ~ October Release! ~ Bring on the Pharaohs!

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today is release day for Sweet Sentiment Stamps!

There are some amazing products being released this month but I chose to work with the three Egypt themed ones.   Let me introduce you to those...

First off, we have "Hi Mummy".  This beautiful stamp set contains 4 Egyptian images and 3 fun sentiments.

For my card, I stamped the Pharaoh and the kneeling female Pharaoh with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them up with Copic Markers.

I created a window for my Pharaohs and created a Egyptian scene.

On the front panel I used the brilliant hieroglyphics stamp image from the new "Cleo and Egypt" stamp set.

I created the front panel to pop out and create a more 3 dimensional card.

Too cute right!??!

The next stamp is "Cleo and Egypt".  This stamp set contains a beautiful Pharaoh with her adorable puppy.  It's also accompanied by a solid cat and pyramid images, a hieroglyphics patch and 5 sentiments.

For my creation, I decided to make a simple bookmark.  I stamped my Pharaoh and puppy and colored them in black and white Copics with a touch of soft yellow to match my background.

I used that awesome hieroglyphics stamp to create the back drop for my image.

This was fun to make!

Next and final stamp set that I used is the "Life is Good" stamp set.

This cool stamp set contains 3 iconic Egyptian images, a Sphinx cat, a Scarab beetle and the Ankh (Symbol of Life) and three beautiful sentiments.

For today's cat, I stamped the Sphinx cat & sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then I added a tiny bit of color with Polychromos Pencils.

Next I took that hieroglyphics stamp set AGAIN (I told you... it's brilliant!) and created a background for my front panel to sit on with the gold embossing powder so it matched the kitty.

I had a blast creating with these amazing new products!

Make sure to check out the Sweet Sentiment Stamps shop for all the new products!

Have a great weekend!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Hexagon Greetings

Good afternoon!  Today is release day over at Sweet Sentiment!

The second stamp set that I designed with was the gorgeous "Playful Poinsettia" stamp set and it's a stunner!

This beautiful stamp set has 2 different sized poinsettia flowers, a single floral center, 2 leaves, a pretty snowflake and some greetings.

For today's creation, I stamped my poinsettia flowers with Versamark ink and added gold embossing powder and heat set it.

Next I took my Karin Markers and added the deep rich color into the center and backdrop.

Then I added marker into the flowers and had a ball with vibrant greens and deep red inks.

And another festive close up of my card....

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you're gettin' crafty this weekend!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Elfin' Around

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today is Release Day for Sweet Sentiment!

This month we have all kinds of fun stamps, dies and stencils to share!

Today I'm sharing the brand new "Elfin' Around" stamp set!  This festive stamp set features 3 elves, one deer and 4 awesome sentiments.  There is also a Sweet Slices Metal Die made to coordinate with this stamp set too!

I started by stamping my little tree bearing elf onto my SS Coloring Cardstock, masked him off and then ink blending a sky using CP inks.

Before the brand new "Snowflake Mandala Stencil" and some Stickles Glitter Gel in Moon Dust and applied it to my background.  I also flicked some sparkling white paint to look like snow.

Next I removed the mask and began coloring my elf!

I kept my coloring simple this time.  I added a simple stamped sentiment flag with a tiny strip of patterned paper tucked under it for a little hint of stripes!

Don't forget to check out all the amazing project going to be shown today over on the Sweet Sentiment Stamps & Friends Facebook page.

Stay tuned for another fun Sweet Sentiment card this afternoon!

Sweet Sentiment - A Fairytale...

This month over at Sweet Sentiment I've been playing with fairies!  the "Fairy Smiles" stamp set to be exact!

This time I stepped a little bit out of my creative comfort zone and went a little bit "grungy" with my card style.  I kinda like it!  It's fun to try something new and step out into a new world.

I started by stamping my little pixie with Memento "Desert Sand" ink and coloring her up with Copic Markers on some of Sweet Sentiment's Premium Coloring Cardstock.  If you've never worked on this cardstock, it's beautifully smooth and has a sparkle embedded in it!!!

I used the following Copics to color her in:

  • skin: E04, E11, E01, E00
  • purples: BV17, BV13, BV11, BV01, V01
  • greens: G46, G94, G43
  • wings: B63, B60, Y00

I used a variety of P13 (Forest Tea Party) and Craft Consortium (Little Fawn & Friends) patterned papers to add layers to my card.

It has a very bo-ho, woodsy feel to it!  I like it!

Make sure to come and check out all the amazing creations all month long over on the Sweet Sentiment Stamps & Friends Facebook group.  There's always a lot of inspiration there!

Stay tuned as Saturday, we have the September release happening too!  So many great new products are coming!

Hope to see you there!  Happy stamping!

Sweet Sentiment ~ Not Worth The Herbs

Today over at Sweet Sentiment we are releasing a fun previously-released clear stamp in digital form!

This little witchy-poo is called "Not Worth The Herbs" and she can come to you immediately as a digital image!

I used Copic Markers to color her in! PLUS to make her extra magical, she is printed on Sweet Sentiment's Preimum Coloring Cardstock - it has SHIMMER built in to it!

Here's a little closer look... I used a White Gel Pen to add the little magical dust wrapped around her.

Make sure you check out all the amazing inspiration using our little witch over on the Sweet Sentiment Stamps & Friends Facebook group.

Have a great weekend everyone!
