Craft Roulette & Splitcoast ~ Reindeer Portrait

It's Wednesday and time to share my latest creation for the latest episode of Craft Roulette!

For today's card, I also used the newest card sketch from Splitcoaststampers; SC972:

What is Craft Roulette you ask... it's a weekly live show featuring improvised crafting, special guests, community contributions, tons of prizes and much, much more!  It's live every Friday night over on YouTube.  You can check out this week's episode here.

So the four parameters that the wheel spit out this week were:

  • Project:  Picture Frame Card (I created a frame for my reindeer)
  • Colors:  Summer Vacation Colors (lots of fun happy colors!)
  • Element: Game(s) (the elves were playing "Decorate the Reindeer)
  • Random: Checks (check style patterned paper)

So this week's card features lots of festive Catherine Pooler Designs products!

I started by making all my criss-crosses in the design with the fun patterned papers, from "Grandma's Attic" slimline papers.

I used some Spellbinder's oval dies to create the fun frame for my sweet little adorned reindeer, "Dasher" from Catherine Pooler.  I colored him up with some simple Copic Markers.

Make sure to check out Craft Roulette over on YouTube and join us on Friday at 6:30pm CT for a brand new episode!

Splitcoast ~ Where's the PAW-ty?

Happy Hump Day everyone! Today's card was created for my Splitcoaststampers newest sketch.

It's my turn for a sketch this week and here's what I've created for you... SC968:

I began my card by stamping 2 kitties and a puppy from the "More Peeking Pets" stamp set in Twilight ink.  I added a touch of Copic Markers for added interest and die cut them all out.

Next I took some of the beautiful "Touch of Frost" Slimline patterned papers and created a pieced design to mimic the sketch.

Then I die cut a pair of glasses from the "Pet Specs Dies", colored them with Copics and added them to the Corgi puppy's face.  Who doesn't love a puppy with glasses?!?!?

To finish off the card, I stamped a sentiment from the "Look Who's Talking Sentiments" stamp set in Cove Blue ink and die cut it with it's coordinating talk bubble die set.

Make sure to check out the sketch and all the contributor's creations over at Splitcoaststampers, HERE.

Have a great rest of the week!

Splitcoast ~ Fall is in the Air

Happy Hump Day everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fun Halloween card featuring some of the newly released spook-tacular Sweet November Stamps products.

For today's card I used the adorable "Spooked Pumpkin with Pip, Squeak & Shortcake" digital image plus an additional pumpkin from the "Frightful Pumpkin with Freddy & Quil".

I printed out my images and masked off the pumpkins and mice plus a circle for my big moon.  then I used Distress Oxide inks (Salty Ocean & Chipped Sapphire) to blend in a starry sky.  I added some sparkly white paint for the stars.

Then I colored up my scene with Copic Markers.  I mounted it on a thin black cardstock mat and added some orange gingham paper from Lawn Fawn called "Gotta Have Gingham: Rainbow" paper.

To finish off the card, I stamped a greeting from the "Fall Calls for Lattes" stamp set from Catherine Pooler Designs.

For the base of this card design, I used this week's sketch designed by me over at Splitcoaststampers:

Three Room Studio ~ Pick a Sketch

Happy Saturday everyone!  It's time for another fun Saturday Challenge for Three Room Studio.

This week our challenge is to create a card using one of the two sketches seen below.  Just choose Sketch A or B to inspire your next card.

For my card today, I chose to use Sketch A.  I began by making my own background.  I used the coffee bean stamps from the "Awesome Coffee" stamp set using Memento "Rich Cocoa" ink.  I stamped them all over the back ground, then I used a Copic Markers to add some shadows and some fun splatter.

Then I stamped one of the girls from the new "Just a Moment" stamp set and also coloured her up using Copic Markers.  I added a simple sentiment from the same stamp set in red ink.

Now, check out my fellow Design Team members...

Now it's your turn!!  Check out all the details on THIS post.

Good luck!

Catherine Pooler ~ Witchy Web

Happy Hump Day everyone!  Today I'm sharing a fun Halloween card featuring some of the newly released spook-tacular Catherine Pooler products.

I started my card off by die cutting the scalloped die from the "Slimline Essentials Dies" from black cardstock.  I die cut 3 circles from the "Spooky-N-Sweet 6x6" patterned papers and layered on the cute little ghost, witch's legs and hat from the "Toil & Trouble" stamp set.  I colored everything in using Copic Markers.

Before adhering and stitching my circles, I used some Twilight ink to stamp on some bubbles on my white cardstock.

The inside of the card reads... "Happy Halloween"!

My card is based off my Splicoaststamper's Card Sketch for this week: SC925.

I'd love it if you joined us for this week's sketch!

Until next time, stay crafty!

My Favorite Things ~ Oh Nuts! I Forgot!

TGIF everyone!  I received my new My Favorite Things goodies in the mail yesterday and I just had to pull them out!

I started by stamping out the little boy, fox, chipmunk and the acorns from the new "Hoodie Weather" stamp set and coloring them in using Copic Markers.  I wanted to make a feminine card so I added pigtails to the little little by to make him a girl.

For my background, I cut 2 circular masks and then stamped the "Typewriter Text Background" stamp in CP Pink Champagne ink.  then before removing the masks, I sponged more Pink Champagne ink over the text.

Next I cut a cute piece of the "Joyful Plaid 6x6" paper pad to back my card panel cut using the "Stitched Rectangles Dies".

I finished off the card with a simple sentiment also from the "Hoodie Weather" stamp set.

My card design today is based off the newest MFT Sketch Challenge... check it out HERE.

I had a ball creating this fun fall birthday card!  Have a great weekend all!

Catherine Pooler ~ You're Such a Blessing

Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm sharing a fun card using my latest sketches for Splitcoaststampers.

It's my turn for a sketch this week and here's what I've created for you... SC921:

The cross hatched pattern could be achieved in so many ways:

  1. Create a grid with your scoring tool.
  2. Adhere squares or diamonds of paper in this pattern.
  3. Use a patterned paper that has a criss-crossed pattern like a plaid or gingham!
  4. Or use a die that makes the pattern.

I happen to own a die that created that pattern.  It's called the "Cross Your X's Cover Plate Die" by Catherine Pooler.  It was a perfect starting point of this card!  I tucked a gold embossed panel underneath using the retired "Love Note Background" stamp set also from CP.

I die cut a rectangle from the "Scallops & Dots Dies" and embossed my sentiment from the "Fall Finds" stamp set!  I also stamped a variety of the leaves from the same stamp set in a blend of Autumn inspired ink colors: Whipped Honey, Orange Peel, Match, Spruce and Daydream.

I added a little gold thread to the back of the sentiment area and adhered it with some foam tape.

A few golden "Oak City Sequins" to finish of the card and I love how it turned out!

I hope you'll check out my sketch and come and play along!

Happy crafting!

Catherine Pooler ~ Sweet-N-Spooky

Today's the day!  The day that the "Sweet-N-Spooky" goodies hit the Catherine Pooler Designs shop!

This mini release brings us a few new Hollow's Eve products including...

Today I'm sharing a few interactive cards featuring the "Sweet-N-Spooky 6x6 Paper Pack" and the "Toil and Trouble" stamp set!

I began by cutting a cute piece of the floral web patterned paper for my card front.  Then I die cut a rectangle using the "Scallops & Dots Dies" from the pink gingham.  I then matted my gingham rectangle with white cardstock.

I stamped out my cauldron and little ghost and colored them in using Copic Markers and Apricot & Orange Peel inks.

I adhered my cauldron to my card front and made a paper mechanism for my little ghost to sway from side to side!  You check out how I did that on a SHORT VIDEO HERE.

I also made a second card featuring the same products and the same interactive element but I used one of the pair of witches legs for the moving image.

I had a blast making these cards!

Plus I made these cards featuring my newest sketch over at Splitcoaststampers for this week!  Sketch SC920.

I hope you'll check out all the amazing card samples using this sketch over at Splitcoast.

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!

Now go get crafty!

Spiltcoast ~ Home is Where the Herd Is...

Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm sharing my first of the 3 card sketches I'm hostessing for Splitcoaststampers!

Here is this week's sketch: SC919:

So I began this card by cutting some cute woodgrain patterned paper from the Stamp Anniething "Farm Life" 6x6 paper pack.  Then I used the same pack and found a fun denim paper and dark red paper to make my stripes.  I layered them on top of the "Intricate Lace Border Die" (I love this die!!!).

I die cut a dotted rectangle using the Catherine Pooler "Scallops & Dots Dies" and stamped my sweet little farmer and his piggy from the Sweet Sentiment "Farm Life" stamp set.  I colored my entire image using Copic Markers.

Such a simple card!  I just adore that lacy die element!

Don't forget to come and play along!

Sweet Sincerity Slimline

Today I'm sharing another fun Sweet Sentiment creation with you!

I just love all of the floral stamps from Sweet Sentiment and the "Sweet Sincerity" blooms are uber cool!

I stamped a whole bunch of the 3-petaled blooms and leaves out with from the "Sweet Sincerity" using Memento "Tuxedo Black" ink.  Then I used Copic Markers to color in all the blooms and foliage.

Copics: Blooms: V09, V06, V04  Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG63, G46

Then I stamped the slimline card base using the Catherine Pooler "Love Notes Background" stamp to add the beautiful scripty print.

Then I cut the scalloped frame using the Studio Katia "Dotted Slimline - Set 2 Die" and added some circle die cut holes using the CP "Circles Dies".

Then I added the frame to the card base using some 3D foam adhesive and then added all the beautiful blossoms...

I stamped my greeting from the Sweet Sentiment "With Great Love" in black ink as one final touch.

I just love end result of this card!

This card layout is based off of my latest sketch for Splitcoaststampers this week, SC906...

You're Awesome & You Gnome It!

Happy Wednesday!  Today it's my week to share a brand new sketch over at Splitcoaststampers!

Meet SC903...

For my card example I pulled out the adorable "Victoria - Awesome & Gnome It" stamp set and outline die from Stamp Anniething.  Isn't she adorable?!?!  I stamped her out with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Markers.

I used some fun checker board papers from MFT called "Tiny Check Bright 6x6" paper and some fun confetti & green patterned papers from the Honey Bee Stamps paper pack called "Birthday Bash".

I added a fun "Intricate Lace Border" die cut and colored with Copic Markers to match my coloring image.

A Tiny Heart Shaker

Happy Wednesday! Today is my time to share a fun card sketch over at Splitcaoststampers!

This is this week's sketch... SC885... a simple A2 Sketch...

For my simple card, I decided to make it a cute little shaker card.  Instead of sequins, I used the multi-mini-heart die cut from the "Hearts-n-Tags Die".  I used Glitz, Aquatini and Uptown inks to ink up my mini die cut hearts.  The larger heart die is from the "Two Part Hearts Die" set.

The fun patterned papers are from the "Lotsa Love" 6x6  patterned papers.

Come and play along with us this week!
