Sparkly Festive Table

Today's table decoration comes from Kim
kim
a very sophisticated look from Kim, and this will look really stylish on her Christmas day table.
Kim has done a touch of up-cycling by using the thick piece of card from the back of a pad, she has cut this to 8 x 8 and covered it with a sheet of paper from the Craftwork Cards Noir de Luxe 8x8 pad. Using a Watermark Pad Kim has inked around the edges of the board, then frantaged with the Stampendous Shabby White Frantage Powder.
The holder for the candle has also been upcycled from the centre of an used up roll of double sided tape! Oh and some gold card.

Kim has stamped one of Jane's Poinsettias and embossed it, Kim has stamped on the Woodware Mixed Media Card and then coloured with dye inks, then added more colour with a water brush to give some high lights. The images have then been fussy cut.
Kim has used the Dreamweaver Holly Die  to cut some extra leaves in gold and green.
Kim has then added a touch of sparkle with some Stickles to finish off this beautiful project.
I hope that you agree this is a great project for a festive table and if you pop over to Kim's Blog you will find some extra cards that she has made from her leftovers!

Chocolates for the Christmas Table

We are not big on fancy chocolates in our house but we do like an After Eight Mint, or two, so I have made this box for them to sit on the Christmas table.
25
I think that I saw this on the Craftwork Cards Blog but I am not sure.
23
I have cut my card 9 inches square.
16
I used my scoring blade in my trimmer and scored at 3 and 6 inches in both directions
17
Then  fold and crease all of the score lines.
18
Use a ruler to score a diagonal line BUT don't score the centre square as it is the bottom of the box. Score the four corners.
12
The stamp is Jane Gill's Little Christmas Bird Clear Magic stamp.
13
I would normally use a watermark pad to stamp, but because it is a solid stamp I got better definition by using a red ink pad and red embossing powder. I hope that you can see the difference.
15
The background paper is from one of the 6 x 6 pads I have edged the paper squares with gold embossing.
14
I have made all four sides the same.
19
I do love the face of the bird!
20
I had to be careful when sticking on the birds that they are the right way up.
I punched out a square of card and drew a diagonal lines across it this I placed on the corner and punched through it so that my punch holes are more or less in the same place.
21
can you see my deliberate mistake, yes I drew my line all the way across.
24
Perfect for our After Eight Mints, I wonder if they will last until Christmas, well I wonder if they will make it to the weekend!
23
Gingham ribbon is perfect for holding it all together, and then I can undo the ribbon and fold it flat to store for next year.

Musical Christmas

Crafty Debs has done a great job on making a card for a music lover!
debs
I love this card which is one of those that if you had it sitting on your mantelpiece you would find something new in it every day.
debs1
Crafty Debs has stamped and embossed in gold Jane Gill's Clear Magic Music Notes. The strip across the middle is some Burlap Ribbon. I love the way that Debs has highlighted the notes with gold nail heads.
debs2
The punched foliage has been created with the yellow holly punch and the blue fern punch, and I love the punched cork berries!
The background paper is the Christmas Cheer 8 x 8 Pad
I hope that you like this card and Crafty Debs has inspired you to get stamping.

Woodware - Tag Tastic

Today we have a great set of tags from Crafty Debs
debs
Debs has made three very different tags, they have all been hand cut, and measure about 6 x 3.5 inches.
debs4
Debs has started by sponging the card with red and green ink and then stamped the Francoise Collection Clear Magic stamp Holly and Ivy Tag. Debs has then embellished the tag with the holly punch and then the ivy is really the maple leaf punch, but that is one of the best bits about crafting, improvising! Tartan Ribbon works perfectly for this tag.
debs1
I love the way that Debs has stamped the Francoise Collection Snow Post stamp on her craft card tag and then again on white card. The one on the white card has been coloured with Sakura pencils and the simple square cut out. This is a great tag to use up some paper scraps the papers come from 'tis the season  one of the perfect prints pads.
The green ric rac ribbon is a fun addition to this tag.
debs2
This is a black tag, that Debs has stamped in white with one of the stamps from  the Jane Gill Hand Drawn Greetings Clear Magic sets. The stars have been stamped from the Francoise Collection Clear Magic Seeing Stars stamp. Then some sparkle added with the Mark Richards Red Assorted Crystals, then the tag has been finished with some red and white dotty organza.
I hope that you agree a great set of tags packed with inspiration!

Christmas Express

Here I have a very quick card thanks, to the great stamp from the Francoise Collection
5
The Francoise Collection Clear Magic  stamp is Christmas Collage
1
First it was stamped in black on the Woodware Water Colour Card, I printed the ink pad on to my Hot Stuff Mat and picked up the colour with my water brush. The ink is ColorBox Crafter's in Blueberry and Aruba.
2
I ripped the paper, the edges were water coloured too.
3
The greeting comes from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear set 'Tis the Season a great set of Christmas words.
I used the Woodware paper scruffer around the edges of the stamped image and then rubbed it along the Blueberry Pad. I bled the ink out with my water brush.
4
I taped the organza ribbon on the back of the card, and tied it off at the end. I have used the Water Colour card to mount on to
definitely a very quick card, I hope that you like it!

Christmas Dangling Doodles

This week we are here with ideas for you if you are starting to panic about getting all of your Christmas cards made.
First we have a card from Jane the Flower Girl
jane
Jane has used an old stamp set of hers Delightful Dangles and stamped and embossed in silver.
jane1
Jane has coloured a lovely blue/green colour and can you see the touch of white from a Gelly Roll Pen.
jane2
Jane has stamped and embossed the greeting too and layered it on some white linen and silver card. Foam squares to raise the greeting give it an extra special touch.
I hope that this lovely card from Jane can get your Christmas card stash started!

Woodware - The Holly and the Ivy

Here we have another take on this sketch
21
a very simple card
17
This Clear Magic stamp designed by Francoise is new this year The Holly & the Ivy Tag and has been coloured with brush pens, (takes quite some time) ink the stamp first with a Watermark pad so that is stays wet longer. I have layered it on to some dark green card.
19
I added the ribbon through the punched hole, and threaded on a bead to hold it without tying
18
I layered my tag on to paper from the 6 x 6 Perfect Prints Best Gifts of All pad.
20
For my flag bits at the bottom I wanted to use holly and this is a lovely holly stamp from a very very old set also designed by Francoise Wired For Christmas
22
Then I added my holly which I have embossed with a mix of copper and Seasonings one of the fantastic Stampendous Frantage powders.
56
and to finish a reminder of the sketch

Woodware - Rudolf by Jane Gill

Jane the Flower Girl is centre stage today with her take on this sketch
jane
Jane has used Rudolf one of her Clear Magic stamps from 2015.
jane1
Jane has used the Pointillist technique to colour him in. One of her favourites, and really very effective. Jane has used 4 shades of brown pen use the lightest colour first and colour Rudolf all over. Then just add lots of dots in the darker shades. Jane has then added a grey line under Rudolf's chin to create a shadow effect and making him dimensional.
jane2
Jane has used die cut letters to make the flags at the bottom of the sketch. The Dreamwever Dual Alphabet dies would be perfect for this. Jane has cut rectangles in different sizes to match the letters and then layered them on some red card.
56
This is a great card from Jane the Flower Girl and a great take on the sketch.

Woodware - Snowman Bauble

10
Meet the Large Snowman Bauble from the Francoise Collection.
11
I have just stamped him in black and cut him at a slightly jaunty angle. He has been layer on some of the Amethyst Recycled Card.
13
I stamped twice more and cut out the scarf,  the carrot nose and the hat. I have coloured with Sakura Koi Brush Pens.
15
I punched out the snowflakes and covered them with Stickles, and I then used Stickles as the glue, the fine nib makes it easy to apply and if it squeezes out from underneath it is pretty!
12
I punched the green tag and the mini heart and star, I coloured the card before punching so that it was the same colour as the rest of the card.
14
I punched the Contemporary Tartan tags and attached them so they look as if they are swinging.
This is the sketch that was the inspiration.
