Should we love all God's creatures?

I tell my kids that the word "Hate" is like a spikey ball; it hurts to throw as well as have it thrown at you. So I strongly dislike spiders. I also have a strong dislike for june bugs and bees. Occasionally, something happens that makes me think I should change my opinions:

In 9th or 10th grade, my kind hearted, creature loving, good friend, Julie Adams, called me a "Cold hearted B!%@# who doesn't give a damn about the creations God gave us" because I stepped on a June Bug. I have thought about that a lot since then.

This past Sunday, I saw a bit of the "Bee Movie" and there was a part where the main girl's boyfriend, hubby? was about to kill the bee and she stepped in and said, "Why should his life have any less value than yours?" That kind of struck a nerve. (It almost made me feel a little guilty for BBQ-ing the hive that appeared in our grill one summer.)

Monday, while in my thinking spot (the shower) an un-welcome 8 legged visitor decided to intrude on my much deserved privacy. I Held my breath as I watched him scurry under the domed protection of my razor. When I felt that familiar tickle on the small of my back I reached back and started slapping and stomping because I was sure it was my intruders colony coming to suck the overproducing platelet blood that flows through my veins. (although it was just hair)
After a long and taunting battle (and eventually quite cold) The spider ended up loosing to the label of my Japanese Cherry Blossom body wash.

Know this: I do care a great deal for the creations God has given me and do value the life of even the tiniest creatures. I also understand that Lucifer will inflict his mighty power when we are least expecting it. Since I have not yet felt the guilt of this hideous crime, I am confident it was the spider that was possessed, and that this event will not surface on the day of my judgement.
