The PhotoHunt for today is 'Citrus'
You can imagine there are lot's of citrus photos from Positano ~ lemons are EveryWhere.
These plates are so fun ~ I wish I'd brought home a whole set for my kitchen
There was also a LOT of limoncello in Amalfi, I won't bore you with photos of that ~
this was my favorite limoncello sorbet from Chez Black.
Check for all the other Photos of Citrus on The Saturday PhotoHunt

Family Photo Day
It was time for some Mc' family photos . . .
The last time we took photos Brother Luke was an itty bitty baby,
Now he is running the show.
and we were ready for some happy smiles ~
I always think the behind the scene photos are as fun as the real photographer ones (maybe not as good . . . but fun memories)
Even the dogs were included . . .
That's what fun memories are all about
We are headed to the beach for a family 4th of July ~ more photos for sure!

Travel Tuesday ~ Serindipity
I have posted on the pictureseque town of Montisi on several occasions. Here, Again Here, and another Traveling Tuesday Here
It is a Tuscan hill town where we have stayed on Many occasions . . . we still go every year for our art lessons.
This trip to Montisi was a moment of Serindipity ~
The sunday we went was the day of the Infiorata. The whole town was preparing for the Processione del Corpus Domini ~ the holy procession commemorating the blood of Christ.
The streets are lined with petals of flowers . . . some in artistic patterns.
The town's people are all on their doorsteps . . . unless they are in the parade. The Priest preceds the the Eucharist (which represents the blood of christ) under a baldachin (a portable golden canopy).
I loved knowing that I was a part of this procession that dates back to the 1500's
The whole down was decorated with flowers . . . for the time of the procession.
As quickly as the petals appeared, they were swept up. . .
The girls who were in their painting class missed the whole thing.
Just a moment of serindipity.
I am also joining Our World Tuesday
Y'all enjoy the ride~

Travel Tuesday ~ Cooking class in Positano
While we were in Positano, we decided we needed to take a cooking class.
I had heard about il Ritrivo and knew that was the kitchen we wanted to be in. It is in the town of Montepertuso . . . a windy drive up and out of Positano (but then we realized EVERYTHING is a windy drive up and out of Positano)
I want that 'Cucina' sign for my house
Salvatore is the chef and his Zia Marilu was our teacher for the day. She is a tiny thing ~ but you can tell she love being in the kitchen.
We started by making Fresh Pasta ~ which we quickly turned into a 4 cheese Ravioli.
I, of course, was hard at work . . .
We seemed to make enough ravioli for the whole house.
We also made stuffed zucchini blossoms, two kinds of pasta, sauces, fish, and an olive oil cake.
You know it wasn't all about working in the kitchen ~
We had plenty of il Ritrivo's Vino.
Chef Salvatore stopped long enough for pictures with the pretty ladies.
We enjoyed the fruits of our labor, while over-looking the Amalfi coast. Of course we encouraged everyone in the restaurant to try the ravioli we'd made.
A little more vino and some limoncello to ease our digestion . . .
Hugs and kisses as we left ~ it was such a fun way to spend the afternoon. I know we will be doing cooking classes next year when we have our Positano Great Escape again.

The PhotoHunt for today is 'UnKnown' ~
Buddy was a little curious about the unknown buzzing sound . . .
It didn't take him long to learn that this unknown should be left alone.

Travel Tuesday ~ Where do I begin?
I have a whole year's worth of Traveling Tuesdays ~ this will just give you a taste of the traveling I've done in the past month . . .
First . . . Roma ~
Then the steps of Positano ~
Toms in Ravello above Amalfi ~
Woops . . . I didn't pack for the rainy season.
So, a pair of rainboots was just what I needed.
Um ~ not me . . .
I just wondered if you were still following.
Leather shopping in Florence at my friend Jennifer Tattanelli's ~ who by the way, Loved my rainboots.
A train ride to Lucca for the day ~
A wonderful day of going 'home' to Montisi ~
Another rainy day in the cathedrals of Siena ~
OK . . . I'll stop there.
But y'all get the idea ~ Lot's of travel photos. . .
I am also joining in with OurWorldTuesday
Y'all enjoy the ride~

Back in the Kitchen
I am in the midst of unpacking, laundry, and fighting jet lag . . . and then I see the newest copy of Bon Appetit magazine.
I think a day in the kitchen is just what I need.
So ~ Roast Pork Loin with Rosemary and Garlic with Roasted Rosemary Potatoes. I'll also make some Marinated Sumer Vegetables . I have just the perfect peppery olive oil for some fresh bruschetta and a nice Italian wine that made it home in my rainboots..
It'll almost be like being back in Italy.
Buon Appetito ~

PhotoHunt ~ GRIN
The PhotoHunt for this weekend is 'Grin'
There was one thing in Italy that always made me GRIN.
These are all street signs that have been enhanced by Clet Abraham
His street signs are scattered on random corners . . . making for a fun scavenger hunt.
He is an artist who has been leaving his mark all over Florence . . . and the rest of Italy.
I spotted this angel near the Vatican in Rome.
This obviously used to be a Clet . . . the faint outline is still there.
How can these NOT make you GRIN?
Check for all the other Photos on The Saturday PhotoHunt for LoTs of GRINs today.
Happy Hunting y'all~
