Well, Hello There with Hello Bluebird

Hi everyone! I hope that you're week is going well so far! I have a card to share today that was featured in the Spring issue of the Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine!

I'm so honored to be published along side all of the amazing designers in the issue. You can view the issue for free on their website (click here)!

This card features the Field Mice set from Hello Bluebird. How cute are those mice carrying the strawberries!? To create the background, I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die from Lawn Fawn to cut the sky from Watercolor Wishes patterned paper. For the grass, I used the Grassy Hillside Border die to cut three grassy hills from the Spring Fling patterned paper. I inked the top of the grass and edges of the sky with distress oxide inks to add some dimension to the scene. I attached everything to a white card base and then arranged the images onto the scene. I finished by stamping the sentiment at the top.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you like the card. Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Stitched Cupcake

Good morning!

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today with a look at the Stitched Cupcake die set.

This set makes the cutest cupcakes! For my card, I die cut the cupcake wrappers from Really Rainbow Scallops patterned paper. The cupcake is die cut from Vanilla Malt cardstock, and the icing is from various shades of Lawn Fawn cardstock.

Once I had the cupcakes attached together, I added liquid glue to the top of the icing and sprinkles on some chunky glitter to make it look like sprinkles. After that dried, I die cut and attached the candles and hearts onto each of the cupcakes.

I created a slim line card that measures 3 1/2" by 8 1/2" and I attached a piece of grey Spring Fling patterned paper before I attached the cupcakes. I die cut and added strawberries along the bottom and attached them foam tape. The sentiment is from the Scripty Sweet die and On the Beach stamp set.

To create the "sweet" sentiment, I die cut three layers from white cardstock and glued the layers together. Then, I used the embossing ink pad to add ink to the die cut and coated it with rose gold embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder, added another layer of embossing power, and heat set it again. Once it was dry, I glued it to the bottom of the card and added the rest of the sentiment with foam tape. Here's a closer look at the card:

Thanks so much for visiting today! And thank you for all of the sweet comments this week! Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Stitched Speech Bubbles Frames

Hello everyone! The Lawn Fawn Release Week continues with a look at the new Speech Bubbles dies!

For this card, I used the Outside In Stitched Speech Bubbles die to cut out the floral paper from the Spring Fling collection. I also used the backside of the same patterned paper for the backgrounds. I added a white frame around the speech bubble which was cut from the Stitched Speech Bubble Frames. And I found out that the Scripty Hello die fits perfectly in the speech bubbles!

The card set turned out so cute, so I created another set with the Scripty Thanks die! The other part of the sentiments come from the Rub-A-Dub-Dub set (friend), Toadally Awesome (you're awesome), and Reveal Wheel Sentiments (just wanted to say) stamp sets.

This new die set would be so cute as a shaker card or even a shaped card! Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

LF Inspiration Week: Magic Picture Changer

Good morning! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues with a look at the new Magic Picture Changer die! This die is so creative and helps create an awesome, interactive card!

This card looks intimidating, but it's really easy to assemble. Check out the Lawn Fawn YouTube for a tutorial on how to use the Magic Picture Changer die. I used Riley's ABCs to stamp the sentiment onto the first part of the die. To create the speech bubble, I inked the bottom portion of a speech bubble from the A Birdie Told Me stamp set. Then, I ink blended around the sentiment with Distress Oxide inks.

I did the same thing to create the sentiment on the slider part of the die. I wanted to make sure to change the speech bubble so that it looked like the other bunny was talking. Once the slider pieces were finished, I weaved the pieces together and glued the sides down.

Then, I die cut the area around the slider part, ink blended it with Distress Oxides inks, and added a piece of ink blended grass along the bottom. I stamped the images from the new Eggstra Amazing Easter and Butterfly Kisses stamp sets and colored the images with Copic markers. I arranged the images on the frame, attached a few of the images with foam tape and some with glue, and then attached it to the slider.

To finish the card, I added the pull tap which was cut from Raspberry cardstock and stamped with the Push Here stamp set. I taped a piece of Spring Fling patterned paper to a white card base, and then attached the slider to the card with foam tape.  Here's a look at the card with it's surprise message:

The design team has some amazing examples on the Lawn Fawn blog, so check it out! This die is so creative and easy to use! I can't wait to see what everyone creates with this die!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day! :)
