Not every song that
will be featured in this TWO FOR TUESDAY (TFT) series will be what is generally
considered as being “Christian” in the eyes of this world. For some will be anguished cries from the pit
of despair while others will be quite obviously fervent rants of
rebellion. Nonetheless, be assured that
they will all be of our Heavenly Father in one way or another, and I hope that
you will want to hear and fully accept the message, if you have been allowed
and enabled to.
Teach Your Children
Crosby, Stills,
Nash and Young
You
Who are on the road
Must have a code
That you can live
by
And so
Become yourself
Because the past
Is just a good-bye
Teach
The children well
THeir father's hell
Did slowly go by
And feed
Them on your dreams
The one
They picks
The one
You'll know by
Don't you ever ask
them why
If they told you
You would cry
So just look at
them
And sigh
And know they love
you
And you
Of tender years
Can't know the
fears
That your elders
grew by
And so
Please help
Them with your
youth
They seek the truth
Before they can die
Teach
The parents well
The children's hell
Will slowly go by
And feed
Them on your dreams
The one they picks
The one you'll know
by
Don't you ever ask
them why
If they told you
You would cry
So just look at
them
And sigh
And know they love
you
Southern Cross
Crosby, Stills,
Nash and Young
Got out of town
On a boat
For the Southern
Islands
Sailin’ to reach
Before
A followin’ sea
She was makin' for
the Trades
On the outside
And the downhill
run
To Papeete
Off the wind
On this heading
Lie the Marquesas
We got eighty feet
of waterline
Nicely making way
In a noisy bar
In Avalon
I tried to call you
But on a midnight
watch
I realized
Why twice you ran
away
Think about
How many times
I have fallen
Spirits are usin’
me
Larger voices
callin'
What Heaven brought
You and me
Cannot be forgotten
I have been around
The world
Lookin’ for
That woman girl
Who knows
Love can endure
And you know it
will
And you know it
will
When you see
The Southern Cross
For the first time
You understand now
why
You came this way
'Cause the truth
you might be runnin' from
Is so small
But it's as big as
the promise
The promise of a
comin’ day
So
I'm sailin’ for
tomorrow
My dreams are a
dyin'
And my love is an
anchor
Tied to you
Tied with a silver
chain
I have my ship
And all her flags
are a flyin'
She is all I have
left
And music is her
name
Think about
How many times
I have fallen
Spirits are usin’
me
Larger voices
callin'
What Heaven brought
You and me
Cannot be forgotten
I have been around
The world
Lookin' for
That woman girl
Who knows
Love can endure
And you know it
will
And you know it
will
So we cheated
And we lied
And we tested
And we never failed
to fail
It was the easiest
thing to do
You will survive
Bein’ bested
Aomebody fine
Will come along
Make me forget
about lovin’ you
And the Southern
Cross
And the Southern
Cross
