Lots of Christmas Presents and Fun

I've not been online much the last few days, because I was celebrating Christmas.
Here are the highlights:

A few days before Christmas a huge package arrived!

It was from miki.
She sent us both lots of stuff for Christmas and for our birthday next month.

I used my piggy penlight to explore the depths of the huge box.

There was a box filled with presents for me and my owner and a box for my owner's OtherHalf.
This is the Christmas presents box for me and my owner.

There was also lots of candy and chocolate!
Yum.

We weren't allowed to open our presents until after midnight on Christmas Eve!

Luckily I got some fireworks from my owner's OtherHalf as well. I dreamed of how cool those will be to light on New Year's Eve, to take my mind of the presents.

Finally Christmas Eve arrived and we could open our presents.
There were a lot of them. Not only miki sent us presents. There was also a picnic basket full of yummy food from family, a small present from Beanie, and a couple of presents that Santa put under our tree.

It was fun opening them all.

And look at all those gorgeous presents!
Books, magazines, dinos, cross stitch stuff, cards, and lots more.

miki: Thank you for all those awesome presents!
Beanie: Those cards are really cool. Thank you!
G&J: Thanks for all the yummy food!

We spent Christmas day reading books and magazines, enjoying all our presents, and eating lots of yummy food.

The day after Christmas is also a holiday here.
We relaxed some more, and my owner baked a Bundt cake.

Which I of course had to taste.
It was delicious!

We also decided to make our own Christmas centerpiece.

I think it turned out beautiful.

All in all we had a wonderful Christmas.
I hope you all had a great Christmas as well!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!
I hope you're all having a wonderful time, even if you don't celebrate Christmas.

I myself am having a great time.

Just before Christmas I received a package full of yummy chocolate from Miki. She also sent me a really cool piggy keychain she made for me.

Thanks Miki!

This morning there was a present for me under our Christmas tree.
Tempest sounds like a cool Young Adult read.

Thanks Santa!

And my owner baked her traditional Christmas Bundt cake. I cant wait to try a piece.

Otherwise I'm enjoying this day by relaxing and reading.

Bliss!

A Present and Cake

It's Christmas so we got to open the present my owner's friend Jan send us!

It turned out to be chocolate and a really cool Christmas Stocking!

When I investigated the stocking it turned out it there was chocolate inside!

Thanks Jan!

This afternoon I helped my owner with baking a Bundt cake

I checked if we had all the right ingredients.

And I supervised the mixing.

When it was done we put some powdered sugar on it.

And I got to taste the cake of course!
Yum.

A Sheepish Visitor

Yesterday I got a visit from my good friend Witje.
He came all the way from Kampen by train.

We had a great day together.
We talked and ate Groninger Turf (a kind of cake).
In the evening Witje went back to Kampen again.

A Cake and a Walk

My owner baked a Bundt Cake for Christmas yesterday!

We got to eat it with powdered sugar and cranberry jam that my owner's OtherHalf made himself. It was delicious!

In the afternoon we went for a walk and we took lots of pictures:

In the evening we ate lots of yummie food and we watched movies: Reindeer Games and Die Hard II, both very cool Christmas movies. We had a great day and I hope all of you had a great Christmas as well!

Asian Candy or Cakes

Our downstairs neighbours invited us to a birthday party so we bought them a small gift at the Amazing Oriental Warehouse:
Asian candy or maybe it's cake, but I think it looks delicious. The party was fun and there was lots to eat, but we forgot to take pictures.

ps: Check out my other blog as I did an interview with Carolyn Crane, author of Mind Games.

More news from Canada

Today part two of Moira's update about her life in Canada!

Hi Sullivan and all. I had my first couple of parties here!

Here I am beside Princess's first birthday cake - she gets two birthday parties the lucky little girl! One for family back home, and one for friends where we live. Princess picked out this pretty purple icing, and I must say, I approve! But this very unassuming cake hides a secret inside... You'll see what that is further on in this post.

We made cupcakes for the birthday as well as there was LOTS of family to feed! Princess picked out the green icing as well.

Leftover pieces of cake! Look how pretty they are! A rainbow hides inside just waiting to come out. Sorry there are no pictures of me eating cake....I ummm made a bit of a "pig" of myself and didn't want to show the pictures! How embarrassing!

On our way home from the family birthday party we came across these beautiful horses and their foals.

Princess's second birthday party - a 3-tier of cupcakes!! Yummy!

Here is Princess blowing out the candles.

Some of the decorations at Princess's Tinkerbell birthday party - Toadstools!
And now you know the reason for my pretty ribbons: I dressed up for Princess's birthday.

Me and Tinkerbell are close ;)

Yikes! The ribbon and I had a bit of a disagreement, but I am happy to report I did get away!

That's it for now.
I'm having a lot of fun here and I will keep you posted about my adventures.

A Wedding

Today my owner took me to a wedding. It was a wedding with a medieval theme so lots of people had dressed up. On this picture you can see me, a good friend of us and my owner. My owner's OH couldn't come with us unfortunately.

The weather was beautiful and we walked to the church where the wedding was in a long procession with musicians in front playing medieval music. In this pic you can see the bride and groom and some bridesmaids behind me. (The bride is the one wearing red)

A pic from inside the church. It was a beautiful ceremony, they even actually tied the knot by tying their hands together as was a custom in the past.

After the ceremony it was time for cake.

And tea, which we took outside to enjoy the lovely weather.

Some more pictures of the church.

While we all sat enjoying our tea and cake the musicians played some more for us.
Afterwards we all walked back to the house of the bride and groom in another procession.
