Gilbert - Snow, IKEA, and More Fun Stuff

We had snow in Groningen!

It was really cold, and I forgot my hat, so no pictures of me in the snow, or I might have ended up looking like this.

Last Friday we went to IKEA.
We had something to eat, and I got French fries!

Yum!

This is what we bought at IKEA.
A rolling table/storage thing.

Now our owner can lounge or work on the sofa bed in her workroom, and keep books and other things close at hand.

We got Beanie Mail.
Both Sullivan and I won at Bus Bingo!

I got a commemorative coin!
It will be kept with our other special coins.

Sullivan got a cat button!
It's already displayed on our cork flag garland.

Thanks, Beanie!

We went into town yesterday, so here's your usual Martini Tower Spam.

And Nieuwe Kerk Spam of course.

Back home I relaxed in this cool T-Rex mug we got as a present from friends.
I got a cool energy drink, but I couldn't use the mug, because my owner wants to use the mug to store bookmarks.

The Capybara decided to join and arranged mood lighting.

More soon: We're going on an outing in the very near future!

A Birthday Visit and Snow

Last Sunday we went to visit my owner's family for a birthday. I got to meet up with Candy again. And it turned out one of my cousins was there as well.

My owner's niece made a beautiful pig for us!
Of course my owner forgot to take the pig home, so we'll have to visit again sometime to get it.

It started to snow.

Candy and me with the candle holders my owner's niece and her mother made.

There were bunnies with their own small house.

It kept snowing.

My owner's niece and one of my owner's nephews made a snowman. Isn't he cool!

At the end of the afternoon we went out for dinner.

Candy and I were very curious what was in this pan.

Mussels. Yum!

I also got to taste a truffle croquette.
Delicious.

We played with the flags that were stuck in the croquettes.

I got hot chocolate with Amaretto for dessert.

Candy helped me reach it.

In the evening we went back to Groningen.
It had snowed there as well.

It was a really fun day.

A Birthday Trip to Schiermonnikoog - Day 5

Monday was already our last day on Schiermonnikoog. The time had flown by.

We went for a walk after breakfast, but my owner was feeling a bit under the weather, so we made it a very short walk.

We sat next to the fireplace, and read, and drank hot chocolate until it was time to catch the ferry back to the mainland.

I had a wonderful time on our birthday trip!
I hope we'll go again next year.

A Birthday Trip to Schiermonnikoog - Day 4

When we woke up on Sunday and looked out the window everything was white!

It had snowed during the night. How cool.

We had to go for a long walk in the snow of course.

It was a beautiful, clear day.

Let's see: where shall we go?

We decided to go to the beach again.
This time we went to another part of the beach than on Friday.

And this time we managed to get close to the sea as well.

After some time on the beach we walked back to the village.

We visited our friends again for lunch, and had a great time.

It was late in the afternoon when we left, and the sun was starting to set.

We decided to walk towards one of the harbors.

With the setting sun and the clouds it was beautiful there.

A lone bird.

Finally we went back to the hotel for dinner.
I had ice cream!

Guess what came next:
More reading and relaxing!
