Easter Update
Last weekend my owner took me on an outing.
We took a train to Leeuwarden and then made a 10 minute walk through wet and chilly weather. Bad day to forget my hat! But it was worth the trip because:
We went to a Boekenfestijn!
I found all these books and because they were really cheap my owner bought them all for me.
Tomorrow it's Easter so we also got a chocolate bunny this week.
Have a great Easter weekend everyone!

A Package, Carrots, and an Excavation
Yes, I am supposed to tell you about Berlin, but I did something really cool yesterday, and want to show you!
But first:
I received an amazing package from Jeffe yesterday.
She sent me signed books, that she got for me at the RT Convention, chocolate, and some cool book cards. She also sent me a signed copy of The Talon of the Hawk, so I might have a giveaway of my unsigned copy at my other blog soon.
I also harvested my carrots.
They didn't get very big, because they didn't have a lot of room to grow, but they tasted great!
And now:
I got a Dino excavation kit as a souvenir from Berlin.
(I'll tell you about where I got it soon.)
There was a block inside that contained T-Rex bones, and a tool to excavate them! Isn't that the coolest!
I began digging into the block and soon...
I spotted my first T-Rex bone.
I kept digging carefully and using the little brush to clean off the dirt.
I could see more and more bones in the dirt.
Finally I managed to dig up my first T-Rex bone!
It was part of a T-Rex skull.
How cool!
I carefully worked on, removing more and more dirt, and revealing more and more bones.
A T-Rex leg!
It was so cool to see more and more bones, and to get them out of the dirt.
Finally I had found all the bones, and was left with a pile of lose dirt.
Here are all the bones I found.
A whole T-Rex skeleton.
It looked like they could be fit together, so I got to work.
See! Isn't he cool!?
I'm very proud of my hard work in getting him excavated and put together!

Saturday Goodness
I'm having the most awesome Saturday.
First we went into town where my owner let me spend some gift cards she got on books.
And while I was still trying to decide which book to read, the mailman came by with a package!
It was from Jeffe Kennedy, who sent us lots of goodies!
There was lots of chocolate and Peeps.
Cool and pretty swag for Jeffe's upcoming release The Talon of the Hawk.
And best of all: an Advance Reader Copy of The Talon of the Hawk!
I think I know what book I'll be reading next!
Thanks Jeffe!

Books and Chocolate
Yesterday there was a package from Jeffe.
She got some books for us at a convention she visited, and she also sent some very yummy chocolate!
These looked really tasty, and one was broken, so I had to eat it right away of course. (It was indeed yummy!)
Thanks, Jeffe!
You are awesome.

Lots of Presents
Earlier this week we received a mega package!
It was from Miki, who wanted to cheer us up when she heard we were still trying to recover from the nasty flu we caught in January. How awesome.
There were lots of surprises inside!
Look at all the goodies.
There was lots of chocolate, tea, cards and more!
I absolutely love this Game of Thrones mug.
And there were figurines of Spirou and Fantasio.
They're the lead characters of a really cool comic book series.
Miki even sent a poster book that included posters from my favorite computer game Mass Effect.
What an awesome surprise. This certainly cheered us up.
Thanks Miki!
You are amazing.
And yesterday I got a belated birthday present.
Two new hats!
Thank you J&G!
I'm very happy with these cool hats.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas everyone!
I hope you're all having a wonderful time, even if you don't celebrate Christmas.
I myself am having a great time.
Just before Christmas I received a package full of yummy chocolate from Miki. She also sent me a really cool piggy keychain she made for me.
Thanks Miki!
This morning there was a present for me under our Christmas tree.
Tempest sounds like a cool Young Adult read.
Thanks Santa!
And my owner baked her traditional Christmas Bundt cake. I cant wait to try a piece.
Otherwise I'm enjoying this day by relaxing and reading.
Bliss!

Zombies and Chocolate in my Mail
I had awesome mail today!
Jess Haines send me an ARC of her next book Forsaken by the Others, a small sampler of her first book and chocolate!
The ARC was signed as well.
There are zombies in this story, so I kept calling it Zombified by the Others while Jess was writing it and as you can see she was kind enough to indulge me.
Thanks Jess!

Sinterklaas Brought More Presents
This Saturday Sinterklaas brought a big bag full of presents for us and some of our friends. Me and my owner got some really cool gifts.
We got two books!
The Reapers Are The Angels is a post-apocalyptic story with zombies. The House of Velvet and Glass is about a woman who visits mediums to try to contact her mother and sister who died in the sinking of the Titanic. Both books sound really intriguing and I can't wait to read them.
We also got a great game called Dixit.
We already tried it out. It's really fun and I love the artwork.
There was also the traditional and very yummy chocolate letter and a cool woolly hat
And a bag of bones!
The skull has red glowing eyes. Isn't that cool?!
All in all we had a great evening and I'm very happy with our presents.
Thanks Sinterklaas!
Sinterklaas also left a gift for Jeffe at our house, we'll have to find the time to send it to her soon.

Lots of Treats
I had a really great birthday and when we got back to work on Tuesday my owner and me brought chocolate as a late birthday treat for our co-workers.
It turned out that one of our co-workers also had a birthday and brought treats as well, so we had lots and lots of treats.
Yum!
When we got home there was a present for us send by Jess. She send us chocolate-peanutbutter treats and a coverflat of her next book. What a cool surprise!
Thanks Jess!
