Review: Clutch Player - #Cocky Hero Club - Nikki Ash - May 2020 Continuing through the Cocky Hero Club world series, we have Nikki Ash's Clutch Player. This one I enjoyed as it was set within the world of British Bedmate which is one of my favorite books by Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. The book starts with sixteen-year-olds Harper and Landon. They have mutual friends as Landon is on the same baseball team as Harper's boyfriend Richie. As the book goes along, we read as Richie and Harper break up and Harper starts to date Landon, and the pair have this instant sizzling romance. However, one night will change it all as Landon's baseball career takes off and Harper ends up at a party and drugged. This causes her to end up having a one night stand with her ex-boyfriend Richie which leads to a pregnancy. For Southerner Caroline Johnson, it was her Aunt when she first gave Caroline her first ever handbag.
