Christmas cards, of course...

I actually managed to get my cards made and posted before the deadline this year! Must be a first...

Christmas cards are a bit stressful, as you have to make so many. It doesn't help that I always seem to leave it 'til the last minute! I had a go at some small (7.7cm x 7.7cm) cards, to speed up the process. They still seemed to take a while, though! Here are some snaps of them - please excuse the messy desk!

I also got a new Indigo Blu snowflakes stamp which I had to try out. I embossed the image with clear embossing powder and used ink dusters to add the blue & purple inked background:

Using a plain digi tree and 2 snowflake punches, I made some Christmas Tree cards:

And finally I thought I'd better use the beautiful trees stamps I borrowed from Crafty Distraction AGES ago (sorry!), so I had a go at some snow scenes:

I also couldn't resist making a couple of cards with a festive photo of my beautiful girls, Emily & Darwin:

Glass Beads

A few weeks ago I had a go at making some glass beads, for the first time in nearly a year. I was really gutted that they turned out all wonky, and I'd forgotten how to make them. Anyway, I had another go a couple of days ago, and I'm much happier with them. I can't seem to do the flowers like I used to, but hopefully it will come back. At least these ones are rounder than the last batch :)

I've got a craft day at Crafty Distraction's on Saturday, so I might make a couple of bracelets with some of these :)

Crafternoon!

Had a great Crafternoon with the girls yesterday, making cards, jewellery and knitting! I had to photoshop Kelly in, as I didn't think of taking a photo of everyone until after she'd left :-s

I also forgot to take photos of the things we made! Oh, well. I only managed to remake a beaded necklace for someone, as it had broken.

Linda's cards might appear on her blog, here:

Missing making beads and cards

Haven't been on here for a while, mainly because I haven't made anything recently. I've been ill since the beginning of July, and can't wait to get my operation over with, so I can get back to making and melting things!

However, I am very lucky to have wonderful family and friends, who have been visiting a lot, and keeping me sane :)  This week we had a girly card making night, where more gossipping than cards was done, but it was good to have such wonderful company :) I made a card, but it was a joint effort - Linda's design, and Lou inked all the edges!

Linda made a couple of very pretty cards:

Her blog is here: Crafty Distraction

I haven't made any glass beads for months, and I really miss it. These are the last ones I made, back in May & June:

So because I haven't actually done anything for ages, I've posted photos of cards Linda made, and beads I made ages ago :)

Had a wonderful time at Crafty Distraction's Open House yesterday. Had a go with lots of different Stampin' Up stamps, inks and card - gorgeous stuff! I'm going to have to put in another order soon.

I made a couple of cards and a couple of little notelets:

Thanks, Linda! It was a really great day!

Stampin' Up!

I'm very excited about Stampin' Up products, now my lovely mate Linda has become a demonstrator. I've fallen in love with most of the stamps in the catalogue, and have volunteered to help her with the workshops she'll be running, so I can have a good play with all the stuff  :D  Cunning, eh?

If you're interested in any of her workshops, interested in hosting a Stampin' Up party, or want to know more about it all, please have a look at her blog:

Or drop her a mail at craftydistraction@virginmedia.com

Yay, SHOPPING! I just hope I'll have some money left after the NEC Hobbycraft Fair...
