Addicted to Daisies

Trying out a couple more masked panel cards with my new favourite stencil :)  I think maybe the pale background works better than the deep blue. I think I need to try using cleaner / paler colours for the petals, too. I might try that tomorrow.

Happy Birthdays in Red

I'm terrible for hoarding papers and not wanting to use them. I decided to break into my stash and use one of my favourites. These are the 3 cards I made:

Something Fishy...

My lovely neighbour across the road has a grandson who just turned 18. He's really into fishing, so we got him some vouchers for fishing gear, and I've had a go at making a fishing-related card. I really don't like making cards for blokes, as they don't seem to appreciate glitter, ribbon or flowers :-s  So here's my attempt at a blokey fishing-related card:

Colour Challenge

Thought I'd have a go at a colour challenge for the first time. There's a challenge over at Color Throwdown:

And this is what I came up with:

I used stickles on the water and on her hair, and gems on her dress to bling it up.

I'm also entering this in the following challenges:

By the Cute & Girly "Spring is All Around"
Paper Pretties "Flowers"
Stamptacular "Spring Bling"
Pink Elephant "Spring Time"

Back after a long break!

It's taken me ages to get back on here. I intended to post some Christmas card photos, but I was even more disorganised than usual last Christmas, and barely got my cards finished and posted before New Year!

Since the NEC Hobbycraft show a few weeks ago, I've been obsessed with using brushes (ink dusters) to make inky backgrounds - it's much easier than battling with my brayer :-)  Here are a few of the cards I've been making over the last few days:

I am entering this one in the Less Is More 'Three Shades of Green' challenge.

I masked the area to ink and stamp, and clear embossed a couple of the images before using the ink dusters and stamping the image in different colours.

The ink dusters are also great for making backgrounds for my Lavinia stamps:

More Brayering

Hi! I made this card with my new Inkadinkado stamp set, and my Lavinia cherry blossom stamp. I used stickles on the flowers to add a bit of sparkle.
