Curvy Florals

Hello everyone. Hope that you are all fandabidosie (there's a blast from the past).

Well, here's a shocker, 2 posts in a month from me....... I like to spoil you 😀.

I did promise you an update from The Pond. Its been an up and down few months to be honest. I went back into AF just before Christmas, slowly getting worse, ended up in hospital for 3 days over Easter, another cardioversion.

I have been on the waiting list for an ablation for almost a year and that has been expedited to next week.so I know I need to try it in the hope it improves my condition but still pooing myself.

So, that's my news. It has been a difficult few months but, as I always say, there are others worse off.

Now, back to something nice (hopefully).......... the card 😀. I found this floating in my files and I am fairly sure that I haven't shown it before and you all know that I love a floral or two. The flowers are set into a channel between the borders.

Haven't had much chance to craft lately with everything that has been going on and I have missed it.

Mr Lockwood has given me sick absence from sample making and its a shame as he has some lovely new dies in the pipeline.

I don't know if I'll get a chance to post again before my procedure as I feel like there's lots I need to get sorted beforehand, especially with it being F1 GP weekend too.

4th Year Blogaversary. . . . . . . . . .

Happy Blogaversary to me, Happy Blogaversary to me . . . . . . . . Yes, can you believe its 4 years today since my first fledgling post. There were no photos on the first post as I hadn't a clue what I was doing (some would say I still don't lol!!!).

Also, the very first person to leave a comment has never been back since . . . . . . . not sure what that says hahaha!!!

Its been an eventful 4 years (aint it just!!!) but I have met some wonderful folk along the way. Mr Lockwood was the first person I actually met face to face 4 years ago this Summer. We overdosed on caffeine and chat at the food court in Fosse Park (caffeine, I remember you dear friend. . . . . .)

Then the Scottish Posse, as they used to be known, Kate, Patricia and Hazel along with Christine. Fortunately, Christine and I also get to meet up at the NEC and other local craft shows, health permitting.

There is also Wendywoo (Spanish Crafter), John's friend from Spain on a couple of occasions.

Iv'e also met up with Jan and Anne from Northampton and Joy, Pauline and Annette (John's Breedon ladies) at CE Towers when being John's glamorous assistant (I'm Debbie McGee to his Small Daniels).

I also am not forgetting Ann Oliver and the gruesome Sue-some (Olliesmam and Planet Susie) at the NEC and also, Karenlotty and Sandra at Ally Pally.

And last year, all the way from Livermore in California, the utterly hilarious Darnell, whilst on her UK Tour.

I also chat by email behind the scenes with some of you lovely ladies and hope that one day, we too can meet up . . . . . . Elaine, we'll be good when you decide to rent next door but remember our street's dress code of Lycra and/or pyjamas.

What a wonderful thing this blogging mularky can be eh???

Back to Christmas. . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning lads and lasses. Hope this finds you in fine fettle.

Even though I've had a few days off, its only yesterday that I actually had no where to be or having an appointment of one kind or another. Had a couple of cards to create as a friends new nephew has put in an earlier appearance than expected (by 6 weeks) so her original request of one of my box frame creations, has rapidly changed to a card to post (her sister & brother in law are currently living in Aberdeen).

Busy again today, with an appointment this morning then lunch out with some friends so I feel I'm on more of a timetable than when I'm at work lol!!!

Thank you for your lovely comments on my fuchsia necklace. I'll have to see if I can come up with a way of making daffodils to wear this time of year lol!!!

Now, today's offering is harking back to Christmas. I did warn you that I still had some Christmas projects lurking in the ether. I was reminded of this one as I made it for the same friend who has just become an Auntie. She had asked me to make some gift wallets for her to give her family tickets and money for Christmas.

This is DL in size and is an A4 piece of card, folded in 3 and 2 edges stuck down, so when you lift the front, there is a pouch inside. This was for friends Mum and Dad as she had bought them train tickets to use to visit the mum to be at New Year.

Sorry if its odd seeing poinsettias when the golden beauties are in full throttle outside. I do love daffodils. They're floral sunshine!

Congratulations in Blue.............

Good morning guys and gals (well, mainly gals but I live in hope lol!!!).

Eeeee, hasn't it turned chilly. My hands have been colder than a penguins chuff and if my feet go the same way, I shall be digging Kate's wonderful warm socks out of the drawer again. 

Thank you so much for all of your supportive comments about my work woes......I was really touched (steady Maureen !!!)

Well, I stamped my feet and threw a minor hissy fit which was relayed to the regional manager and I was reprieved. I'm still covering 3 shops this week but not as many days.

I'm hoping Nancy was right and as a consequence the regional manager thought better of antagonising the one member of staff who has agreed to cover other shops (as they have lost staff moving on to pastures better!) and who hasn't had any sick leave since my poxation last May, despite my "itis" which is still present.

Any more problems, I'm signing up Kate as my shop steward lol!!!

Hazel, Janice and Natty, I have negotiated with Mr Lockwood but sadly, he can't afford me (this Duck ain't cheap.........its a vicious rumour!!!)

Thank you also for your kind comments on Wendywoo's necklace. As I hadn't asked Wendy's permission to show it, I didn't like to name her as the recipient but she has shown it on her own blog now, so that's ok.

Now, today's card is one I made for my friend Penny who was celebrating the birth of her Grandson. I showed the card I made for her daughter here but then forgot to post the card I made for Penny.

No shananighans to report from Flash Gordon lately (I'm grateful for small mercies.......not his very small mercy though, obviously lol!!!) 

Finally, I know my friend Davey will be reading this so have a wonderful holiday dear friend (he's off to Dallas and Guatemala........not your regular combination, I know but he said that the Travelodge in Lowestoft was fully booked for that week)
