What! Another birthday card??!!??

One can never have enough birthday cards, so when CAS on Friday had a new challenge Infigured, what the heck, I will make a birthday card!!

The challenge is a color challenge. We are looking for you to use:

 orange turquoise and white

My card today uses a very old Simon Says Stamp set called "Make a Wish". Unfortunately it is no longer available.

You have two weeks to play along on our festive color challenge at CAS on Friday.

Party like you mean it

Party like you mean it, that's what I mean. Who's ready for a party? I sure could use one! We were supposed to have a big party for my SIL next week, but Covid put the cabosh on that. Things seem to be getting slightly better here in Pennsylvania, maybe our summer season will start on Memorial Day. Maybe not full on, but kinda.

Anyway, are you ready for another challenge at  Cardz 4 Galz? This will be a fun one. A two color challenge using :

PINK and BLACK

This one goes out to all those classy crafters!

My card uses one of my "go-to" all occasion stamp set- "Simply Celebrate" by Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp "Birthday Palooza". A little washi tape to jazz it up and this CAS card is complete. You could easily switch the colors on this one to make a black and red card, or black and gold, whatever you want.

Come and join us at Cardz 4 Galz and play along with our black and pink challenge. You have two weeks to enter the fun!

Melting

I just love the new look of my blog and having the tabs at the top make it so much easier to check out challenges. While going through new challenges, I saw Inkspirational was having a fun word challenge.

Thinking snowmen and snow, I pulled out my Christmas stamps and came across this oldie but goodie from Paper Smooches. When I saw the candle, I was thinking, that makes no sense in this Christmas sense, until it clicked..... the sentiment worked perfectly with the candle. Snowmen went right out the window and my card was created.

Every now and again I give my guy a card just for nothing. This is going to be one of those cards.
Giving cards is my way of showing love and it is a lot less calories than cooking or cheaper than buying a gift......ok that might not be so true..... I do spend money on this craft..... :)!

Anyway check out the new challenge at Inkspiration and show me how you melt.

Blow out those candles

I have become obsessed, every time I sit down at my desk, I pull out the same 3-4 colors. These aren't even my colors normally, I mean I love greens, but this yellow, orange and turquoise with a splash of grey throw in there at times have become my go to colors. Green- bah.... So when I went to make a card based on this sketch for CAS(E) this Sketch, naturally these were the colors I pulled.

Don't they look like a summer birthday party?!!? I took some liberties with the sketch and flipped it on its side. Otherwise the banner would have been hanging off the side like toilet paper caught on someone's shoe.

I used a mix of old and new stamps. New is the Kelly Purkey set- Make a Wish and the oldie but goody is from Hero Arts- Cupcakes. I was happy to see it still for sale. A bit of glitter added to the flames and sprinkles finished this fun summer birthday card.

I am also entering this at the Anything Goes challenge at Seize the Birthday.

Enjoy your weekend!
