There are my new "old projects": Completed in summer, kept them secret for some time, then forgot to show. Gifts for my dear friends Jane and Oksana and their babies.

Delicate baby blankets and NB hats are hand knitted with lightweight and soft merino wool yarn.

Through The Seasons

Yarn: 1 skein (393 m / 430.0 yds) of Araucania Itata Solid (Fingering / 4 ply, 70% Wool, 15% Bamboo, 15% Silk)
Needle: US 6 - 4.0 mm
Size: 11 body rpts, 59” x 25.5” (150 x 65 cm) after blocking

 

Sock-o-mania

Every year close to Christmas and New Year I have a special mood to knit socks. Any other time of year I hate this. Do you like to knit socks? :)

I've made 2 pairs for me and one pair for husband. There are just simple stockinette stitch toe-up socks to show funny striped yarn.
The socks for me are made with twin stitch short rows (Fish Lips Kiss Heel developed by Sox Therapist).

1) Mountain stream socks
 Yarn: 80 gr = 348 yds (318 m) of Knit Picks Felici
 Needle: US 1 - 2.0 mm

 

 2) Carousel socks
 Yarn: 100 gr = 328 yds (300 m) of Steinbach Wolle Strapaz Norweger Ringel
 Needle: US 1½ - 2.5 mm

3) Gradient Socks
 Yarn: 100 gr = 332 yds (300 m) of Patons North America Kroy Socks FX
 Needle: US 1½ - 2.5 mm

After a long break I've come back with new projects.

The first one for today is cardigan for my husband inspired by Ranger pattern by Jared Flood 
I don't have a pattern. I've just knitted cardigan that looks like Ranger :)

Petrolfarbene Jacket

This is my first big machine knitted project.
I used an idea from  Petrolfarbene Jacke pattern by Rebecca Design Team and made my own calculations. 

Miles and miles of seams made me crazy :)))

Ribs were hand knitted with 3.0 mm needle.
Yarn: 700 gr = 1680 yds (1536 m) of Elann Limited Edition Milano Tweed (120 yds (110 m) in 50 grams, DK / 8 ply , 35% Wool, 22% Alpaca, 20% Acrylic, 12% Cashmere)

Great pattern! I love the result.
