Happy Easter Bunny

I have a bunch of old sketch challenges that I have saved from back in December when I wasn't crafting too much. I decided to finally put this Mojo Monday sketch to good use. I really love the layout - especially the layered circles! I've been in an Easter mood lately so I pulled out a TAC set called Some Bunny. I love this sweet little dressed up bunny. Her bow is cut out and raised with dimensionals. I also went over the patches with Stardust Stickles to give her a little sparkle. It matches the dark flowers on the pattern paper that have a nice shimmer to them. The fence is a Martha Stewart punch. I lightly sponged it with Close to Cocoa ink to make it stand out just a tad. The Barely Banana circle is embossed with the Herringbone Cuttlebug folder. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the texture that it adds. Do you own Copic marker E51 yet? If not, get it!! It's one of my most used colors now. Not only is it a soft beige, but if your colors are too dark, just go over it with E51. I did that with the pinks and blues on this image and it lightened it up and gave it a slight antique look. Happy Friday! I hope you enjoy your weekend and happy Spring Break to those of you who have kiddos off next week!!!

Spooky Girls

Another little witch to share with you today. She is from the TAC set called Spooky Girls, but lets face that facts - there is nothing spooky about her at all. She is totally adorable. Her expression, clothes and the way she is standing on her tippy toes ... all of it is cute! This is the kit that I sent out for our Halloween swap. I colored her in with Copics and added some highlights to her cheeks with a Sharpie pen. The little bow on her hat is cut out and raised with a dimensional. Anna look - her hair is green, does that make you uncomfortable, LOL ;) I followed Mojo 107 for the layout. I hope you are enjoying our kits so far. Be sure to check out what the other girls came up with today: Anna, Debbie, Rachel and Tammi. I can't wait to see how they used my kit!

Spooky Vampire

Who doesn't love a vampire?? Especially one as cute as this little fellow! I've definitely been bitten by the vampire bug so when I saw this image in the new Spooky Boys set from TAC, I knew it was a must have. He is colored in with Copics. I added some highlights to his checks with a Sharpie pen, then cut him out and raised him with dimensionals! So, So, So lovin' this Basic Grey Eerie paper. The colors and patterns are all fabulous - making for a quick and easy Halloween card. I followed Mojo 107 for the layout. I'm definitely saving this one for future reference! Hope you have a spooky good day :)

Wishes Do Come True

Late post today! I finished this card up earlier, but I didn't have time to post it because I had to go pick my hubby up from the airport. He had a smooth flight and we made it home right before it started pouring - Yea! I followed this sketch that I found over on Jen's blog. Such a unique and fun layout to work with. I stamped my main image out twice on vanilla cardstock. She is colored in with Copics and her dress is paper pieced on. I glued the first image down onto my grey Nestie piece. For the 2nd image, I cut her out again, removing her feet and wings so that I could pop her up on top of the 1st image with dimensionals. It gave it a great 3d effect! I went over her wings and the brown stripes on her socks with Candle Light Shimmerz. See that beautiful crocheted flower? My mom made it!!!!!! She made me a handful of several different shapes and sizes - I LOVE them! Hope y'all have had a wonderful Monday so far. DWTS tonight - woohoo. I think it's Jive and Tango week!

Kryptonite

Just a quick little note card to share with y'all today. I followed Mojo 104 for the layout. Such a great sketch for a a little card. Looking at it now, I wish I would have rounded those bottom 2 corners, but oh well. This is another image from the Spooky Boy set by TAC. This one can definitely be used all year round to make cards for your little guys. My superhero was colored in with Copics. I cut him out, raised him with dimensionals and added some sparkles to his cape by going over it with Mint Shimmerz. See the green strip in the back - that's my Kryptonite :) I love Smallville and can't wait for it to start back up again! Thanks for stoppin' by!!

Spooky Boys

I'm baaaaacccck! Did ya miss me? We had a fabulous time in San Francisco. Walked all over the place, took 487 pictures, ate some amazing food and enjoyed each and every minute we were there. Thanks for the wonderful birthday wishes too! We flew back in on Tuesday and I've been unpacking and doing laundry ever since. I did come home and find a package full of new TAC goodies. I couldn't resist jumping right in and playing with one of the sets. This one is called Spooky Boys (I have the Girls too :) How darn cute is he?? I colored him in with Copics and cut out and raised the head with dimensionals. The sentiment comes from another TAC Halloween set called Spooktacular. I followed this sketch that I found over on Amy's blog. Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Sprinkles on top!

I know a lot of people with Sept. birthdays (mine included ;) so I'm trying to build up a bday pile!! I saw this sketch over on Amy's blog and couldn't resist using it. Such a fun layout and it worked perfectly with this little fairy. I colored parts of her in with Copics and paper pieced everything else on. This Basic Grey Eva paper was a perfect pattern for a little party dress. I covered the star with pearlescent paint to give it a nice shimmer. I embossed the Kraft circle with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder and then cut it out with Nesties. It gave the background such a nice texture and made my image stand out even more. Thanks for stoppin' by. Hope you have a great Monday!

Have a Sunshiny Day.

You know I have to love that sentiment :) This card is for Sketch Challenge # 241 over on SCS. It's a simple one; which leaves it open for lots of interpretation! I've seen some great samples so far. That's why I love sketch challenges. It's neat to see what everyone comes up with! My card is tall and skinny. It measures 3.25 x 11. I used this cute scarecrow from the Sunshiny Day set by TAC. She is bright and cheery. The brads are glittery and if you look at the top left corner of the image, I added a little victorian corner punch. Just a quick little notecard. Thanks so much for stoppin' by!

Fairy Birthday

This is a new Maybelle set in this year's TAC catty. It's called Birthday Girl and it's uber ca-ute! Comes with 2 precious little girls, a butterfly, a bunch of sentiments and a party flag banner. My image is stamped on TAC white. I colored her in with Copics; also added some cheek highlights with a Sharpie Poster-Paint pen. Her wings, outfit, cupcake and wand were all paper pieced on using the fabulous More Mimi paper. Is that print not perfect for a little party dress? By paper piecing her wings on, I was able to give it a more layered look. I went over the pink wings with Bubble Gum Shimmerz. The image was carefully cut out and raised with dimensionals. I followed this layout that I found on the Friday Sketchers blog. Cool right? I LOVE the half circle in the background. On the inside, I stamped the following sentiment: Happy birthday with sprinkles on top! (It's included in the set) Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Be Square

Another quick little note card to share with y'all today! I just love little, simple cards. Once I start making them I can't seem to stop :) Plus they are quick and easy to make. Something I've needed this week because I've been fighting a cold since Friday. Summer colds are the pits - especially when it's 100+ ˚ outside! I think that I'm finally on the mend though!!! I pulled out a new TAC set today called Be Square. It has the funniest little owls in it. The expression on this one just makes me giggle. He is colored in with Copics. I cut out and raised his droopy eyelids with a dimensional. The paper is from the Willoughby collection by TAC - one of my favs!!! I followed this sketch by Amy R. Love those rounded corners. I need to remember to do that more often! Thanks for stoppin' by!

A new baby!

Just a quick little note card to share with y'all today. The blue streak has been broken!! My brother and SIL had a little girl last Friday. I'm so happy for them! I followed Mojo Monday 96 for the layout. The little bunny was stamped on white cardstock. I colored the fur in with Copics and then paper pieced her outfit together. The little bow was cut out and raised with a dimensional. I really loved how Julee added the scallops to the top and bottom of her card, so I borrowed the idea from her. You can never have too many scallops on a baby card :) Hope everyone has a great day!!

Sunshiny Day

This is another card that I submitted for the TAC catalog design call. It was made with the new set called Sunshiny Day. It wasn't selected, but another one I sent in made with this set was. I colored the adorable image in with Prismacolor pencils. The paper, cardstock and accessories all come for the Mimi collection. I thought the colors came together to make a cheerful little card. Isn't that sentiment a great one too. I was so excited when I saw the name of the set and that it came with this sentiment :) The second picture is a closeup of the card that is published in the catty. I used the same colors and paper collection. However, I stamped a little crow at the bottom and raised him with a dimensional. I love these little scarecrows. There is another new set in the catty called Hanging Out. It has 4 different scarecrows in it and I can't wait to get it. I think they will be perfect for Fall cards! Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Friday!

Hit the Beach

Has anyone seen Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince? We went yesterday morning and loved ever minute of it. It's definitely my favorite movie of the series - so far!! It followed the book pretty well, although reading the actual book is always going to be better. The directing was perfect and there were so many little things thrown into the background that just made it extra special. We laughed out loud numerous times. The acting skills of the kids have greatly improved in this one and all of the characters were just spot on - especially Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix. We had a wonderful crowd in the packed theater who all giggled, sighed at the love stories, shed a few tears, gasped and even jumped at one point. It ended with everyone clapping and wishing they could rewind the film and watch it again. If you get a chance, definitely don't miss it in the theater! Okay on to the card. This is one of the submissions that I sent in for the catty design call. It didn't make it in, but it was featured on Mischelle's blog. I just thought I would post it again here so I could show y'all a little more detail. This stamp is super fun and cute. It's all one image, including the sentiment. However, I've seen several samples where they have inked up 1 bird or a couple and stamped them out. I decided to keep them all together because they just looked like a great assortment of friends heading out for a day of fun on the beach. I ended up using the Lilly Anna paper to paper piece their clothing and accessories on. The striped paper in that collection was perfect for little bathing suits! Thanks for stopping by.

Summer Boys

Before I get to the card details, I wanted to share a quick tip with y'all. I was asked the other day if I knew of a way to clean acrylic blocks and I thought I would share it here just in case someone else didn't know this trick. Hand Sanitizer!! Yep, a drop of hand sanitizer and a paper towel will clean up your blocks and have them looking brand new in seconds. I got a tiny Purell bottle in the travel section at Target for .99! It's going to last forever because 1 drop goes a long way. Okay, on to the card! I just got this adorable little set in called Summer Boys. It cracked me up the moment I saw it in the new TAC catty. I knew that I immediately wanted to use this image and give him orange hair :) His hair and skin are colored in with Copics, I then paper pieced the clothing on. This Hip Hop paper from TAC was a perfect match for this little guy. It has bold, summer colors and it appears to have a great texture to it making it great for paper piecing. I followed this sketch that I found over on Amy's blog. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Sunday Afternoon

No, I don't have my days mixed up. Sunday Afternoon is the name of this new TAC set! This cute little gardener was colored in with Copics. I paper pieced the blue cardstock on because I loved the texture it gave my image! The little water can is raised with a dimensional. The paper is from the Lilly Anna collection from TAC. It's one of my favs if you can't tell :) On the inside I stamped the rest of the sentiment: stopping to smell the flowers. The set comes with 5 different sayings that complete the sentence. I followed Mojo 93 for the layout! Thanks for stoppin' by. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend!!!

Thank you!!!!

I just wanted to thank everyone for being excited with me over my catty cover cards!!! I'm still in shock. We have been out of town since Friday, so I was super anxious to get my catalog out of the mail today. I can't stop staring at it ;) Such a neat honor!!! My husband is already planning out how he can frame it and hang it in the office! I just wanted to show y'all a close-up of both images. These came from a new TAC set called Toodles. For both bears, I cut out their heads and snouts and raised them with dimensionals. You know how I like to pop things up :) I also used the Lilly Anna paper to piece the shirt on the second bear and added little brads to dress up the bicycle wheels. I was excited to find out that I also had 5 cards published on the inside of the new catty! The How Swell (pg.21), Wild For You (pg.65), Camping (pg. 85), Twinkle Toes (pg. 98), and Sunshiny Day (pg. 105) are all my designs. Soooo cool! There are definitely some cute new sets in this catty! I can start taking orders July 1st!!! If you are interested in a catalog or would like to see my website where you can view and order TAC products, just let me know.

Just be-claws!

I made this quick little card as a thank you for someone who just bought a stamp set from me. I think that it would also make great guy card as well. You could even use it as a gift card holder for a favorite seafood restaurant. I used all TAC products on this card. This paper is perfect for beachy card! It's called Amberley Grace. You will definitely see me use it again!! The little lobster is from a set called Ocean Buddies. It's being discontinued once the new catty comes out and is currently marked down to $14.96. I stamped it using Brilliance Pearlescent Poppy ink so it has a subtle shimmer to it. The sentiment comes from a new set called Fishy Friends. I followed this sketch that I found over on Jen's blog. Thanks so much for stoppin' by!

Have a mice day!

How great is this sketch that I found over on Amy's blog? I love the circle and the panels with the little scallops. That was a great way to use up some scraps. The little mouse is colored in with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. I went over the pinks of the ears and the cheese with Stickles. The paper is from the Toodle Loo collection from TAC. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a mice day!

Garden Joy

Just a quick little card to share with y'all today. I hadn't used this adorable Mabelle girl from the TAC set Garden Joy since it was released, so I thought it was time to ink her up again! She is so perfect for Spring. I colored her in with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I added a pearl brad to the wheel and paper pieced her dress on. Isn't this Toodle Loo paper perfect for a sundress? You might have to click the image to see the sentiment better, but it says "have a great day". It's from the Build-a-flower set. I followed this sketch that I found over on Heather's blog.
