Lilo & Milo Rainy Days

Perfect image for today since it has been pouring all morning. How cute is this Rachelle Anne Miller stamp? I could just squeeze them. They make standing in the rain look fabulous! I stand under an umbrella and I still get wet as my hair grows by the minute - think Monica from Friend's! I tried a new challenge out for this card. It's the Stampavie Sketch Challenge #2. I couldn't pass up using this great layout! I colored the image in with Prismacolors and OMS. The little umbrella is cut out and raised with dimensionals! I then went a little glitter happy and added Star Dust Stickles all over the place. The paper is several different sheets from Pink Paislee. I used Cubicle, Lovely & Graceful. I then added Men's Dew Drops to the bottom corner. Don't forget that Jacksonbelle Embellishments is having a storewide 25% off sale. Just use coupon code SPRING09 when checking out!!! Thanks for stopping by. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Lola Wishes

Did y'all see Taylor's recent Cupcake Challenge? It's a super cute and easy layout. I absolutely love the little panels that run behind the main image. It's a great way to use up those leftover scraps of paper! I colored the image with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. Then I took an aquapainter and went over the bird's tummy, the heart and the pink on her tights with Flashee Fuchsia Shimmerz. It gave it just the right hint of shimmer and it helped shade the images as well! I found these little metallic dots in my stash (thanks Jess). They matched the color of the Sprout paper perfectly. Tammi thanks for the adorable image and the sentiment!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful day. LOST comes on tonight and I'm beyond excited for it to start again!!!!!!!!!!

Stamps: Lola with Bird (Sugar Nellie), Studio G sentiment
Paper: Memory Box Sprout, Kraft, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Palette Burnt Umber

Warm Winter Skaters

This card is for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #46. It was the perfect layout for this larger image. I was inspired by this fabulous card that Tammi recently sent me. The image is colored in with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. I added a lot of sparkles with some Stardust Stickles. I attached the bow with Crystal Effects. The sentiment is cut out with the small oval punch. I added some light blue pearls to the edge to help dress it up. The scallops were created with decorative scissors. Tammi thank you for sending me this sweet image. It helped keep me busy and gave me a chance to sit down and have some quiet time while I colored. I really needed that today!!!

Stamps: Lilo and Milo Skating - Rachel Anne Miller (Stampavie), sentiment (Stampendous) Paper: Always Artichoke, Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey - Figgy Other: Artichoke grosgrain, crystal effects, Rectangle Nestabilities, Koh-i-noor pencils, OMS, Stardust Stickles, scallop scissors, small oval punch, light blue pearls

Easter Blessings

How cute is this little girl? My friend Tammi sent me some adorable Sugar Nellie images and I just had to use this one for an Easter card. Now I have to confess, I had to doctor a boo-boo on the image. Can you find it? It's the top bunny ear. Let me set the scene for ya. I'm sitting here all happy because I had just finished coloring the image and it looked pretty good. So I go to move my marker tray and a piece of paper when low an behold an uncapped black marker comes rolling over the edge of the desk and lands smack dab on the bunny ear. All of that happened in slow mow and my eyes seriously bugged out of my head. Note to self, cap your darn markers! I couldn't throw it away because it's the only image I had so I took a deep breath, grabbed a Coke and went to work. You know caffeine helps in these situations, lol. I took a little piece of white cardstock, colored one edge with Creamy Caramel and outlined it with black before carefully cutting it out. Took me a few tries, but I think that I did an okay job. Hopefully the recipient won't admire it up close to much! After my panic attack, I added some Stickles to her cheeks. Again hoping to draw attention to her sparkly cheeks and not the malformed ear. I ran the top of the Celery cardstock through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I like the look of just having the dots on top. Tammi I totally Cased that idea for you!!! I tied the ribbon around the pattern paper, then decided to dress the bottom corner up with a button. I used a glue dot to attach some ribbon to the back, then used my paper piercer to poke where the two holes are. I then ran some white Scrapper's Floss through the holes. The sentiment is from Gina K. (Came with my order a few months ago). Card measures 6" x 3 1/2".
