Can't Thank You Enough

I am loving this months Creative Cafe' Card Kit of the Month!

This months kit is called. Petticoat Fashion.  It includes a 6 x 6 pack of Echo Park Petticoats and Pinstripes, a bunch of beautiful cardstock, a fun embossing folder, and lots of luscious ribbon.

For my first card using this kit I decided to make a fun fold card...I know...you're shocked, right???

To create this card start with a 7 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock.
I scored on the solid vertical lines and cut on the horizontal dashed lines.

When it folds up it looks like this.

I cut patterned paper panels to fit each of the portions of the card and then adhered it to the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

I stamped hello with Love Letter Memento dye ink.

Here's another view of the card when it's folded.

I stamped the Thank You sentiment with Bamboo Memento Dye ink and the other sentiment with Love Letter ink.

I stamped the small flower with Tangelo and Dandelion Memento dye ink.
The larger flower was stamped with Angel Pink, Rose Bud, and Love Letter ink.
Cut the flowers out and add to the card with 3D Foam.

I just love how this card turned out...not sure how I'll top this one but I'll try!

I hope you will give it a try.

It's easier than it might look and you will love the results!

Birthday Easel Card

Happy Sunday Rubber Cafe' Fans!

I am so excited to share another fun fold card project that I made with the March Rubber Cafe' Creative Cafe' Kit of the month, Special Celebration.  I used the add on set, Little Cupcake for today's card.

Here is my card when it is closed and ready to mail.

But...this is an easel card so when the recipient receives this lovely card, they can set it out for all to see and it will look like this!

To create this card, Start with a 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of navy blue cardstock.
Fold the card in half to create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base.
Fold the front of the card in half.
Adhere a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8" panel of flowered paper to the top portion of the front of the card with Scrap Happy Glue.
Do the same with the green and white striped paper.

Tie a piece of light teal ribbon around the top of the lower portion of the card.

Adhere a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8 panel of patterned paper to the inside of the card.
Stamp the sentiment on a 1 1/4" x 3 3/4" of white cardstock with black ink.
Back sentiment panel with a 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" pink panel.

Adhere panel to the inside of the card with 3D foam squares.

Stamp the floral cupcake image on a white die cut circle panel with black ink and color with colored pencils.
Back the cupcake panel with a larger circle panel cut from patterned paper.
Then back with a slightly larger circle panel of light pink cardstock.
Finally, the bottom panel is a navy blue scallop edge circle panel.

Fold the front of the card up so it rests behind the sentiment panel to create the easel.

Adhere the cupcake panel to the card by applying -Scrap Happy Glue to only the bottom half of the panel.

This card is a great way to give a gift card to someone special for their birthday.

I hope you give it a try!

Celebrate

Happy Sunday!

I am so excited to share my first project that I made with the March Rubber Cafe' Creative Cafe' Kit of the month, Special Celebration.

Here is the front of my card:

The fun part is when you open it up and another cupcake pop outs!

To create my card I started by folding an  11" x 4 1/4" piece of pink cardstock from the kit in half to create the card base.

Cut the first panel 5 1/2" x 2 1/4" and back with a slightly larger  beige panel.
The second panel measures 4 1/4" x 2" and was backed with a slightly larger beige panel.
The third panel measures 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" and was backed with a slightly larger beige panel.

Adhere the first panel to the center of the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

Stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the panel with black ink.

Tie ribbon around the second panel.

Then adhere it to the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

Adhere the third panel to the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

Finally, stamp the cupcake on a white panel and color with pencils.
Then cut the cupcake out and adhere to the card with 3D Foam.

To create the inside of the card I cut a 4" by 10 1/2" piece of white card stock and scored it in half.
I adhered a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of polka dot paper to the top portion and a striped panel the same size to the bottom portion.

On the back side score on the solid lines and cut on the dotted lines.
The dotted lines are about 1 1/2" in from each edge.
The top score is 3 3/4" from the top and the bottom score is 4 3/4" from the bottom.

Adhere this panel to the inside of the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

Stamp cupcake on white cardstock and color with pencils.
Cut out the cupcake and adhere to the popped out panel.

I added the inside panel.
Outside edges measure 3" x 4"

This card is super easy to make and the recipient will be so impressed!
I hope you give it a try!

Hello Gorgeous

Happy Sunday All!

I made another card that I created using The Rubber Cafe Creative Cafe Kit  called Follow Your DreamsI used the Birds of a Feather stamp set.

It was inspired by another card that I found on pinterest.
You can find the TRC Pinterest board HERE.

To create this card I started by folding an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"" panel of pink cardstock in half to create the card base.  I covered the card base with a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of dark pink patterned paper with Scrap Happy Glue.

I cut out a 3 3/4" x 5" panel of white cardstock and punched the sentiment on the bottom of the panel with Distress ink.

I added some score lines on the top and bottom.

I masked off the top and bottom of the panel with post its.
Then I randomly stamped one of the feather images on the panel with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Detail white embossing powder.

I sponged Distress ink over the exposed panel and wiped the excess off the feathers with a wet wipe.

Then I removed the post it's and it looked like this.

Add the panel to the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

I needed more dark pink cardstock for the next step but didn't have any so I applied the Distress ink directly to the light pink cardstock and let it dry.

Then I stamped the feather with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Detail white embossing powder.

Cut out the feather's aand add to the card.
Tie ribbon onto the card.

That's it...easy peasy!

This week was Chaunnelle's turn to choose the sketch and she chose this versatile one  from Sweet Sunday Sketch.

Here is the card that I cam up with.

I used stamps and supplies from The Rubber Cafe' for this card.

I colored the image with colored pencils.
The heart brads are Recollections from Michael's.
The patterned paper is from the Bo Bunny Calendar Girl paper pack.

Follow Your Dream

Hello Rubber Cafe' fans!

Kristine here with a card that I created using The Rubber Cafe Creative Cafe Kit  called Follow Your DreamsI used the Birds of a Feather stamp set.

It was inspired by a card that I found on pinterest.

To create this card I started by folding an 11" x 4 1/4" panel of white cardstock in half to create the card base.  I covered the card base with a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of patterned paper.
Then I adhered  a 5" x 3" panel of the faux wood paper to the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

I randomly stamped the feathers with black ink on a 4" x 2 1/2" panel of the typeface paper and then adhered it to the card with Scrap Happy Glue

I punched the bottom of a 4 1/4" x 2 " strip of the faux wood paper and then adhered it to the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

I stamped four feathers on patterned paper with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink and then cut them out.

I adhered the four feathers to the front of the card with foam squares.

Then I tied ribbon around the card and stamped the sentiment for the finishing touch!

This card is the perfect card to send to anyone who needs a little encouragement or affirmation.
I hope you'll give it a try!
