NinaB Designs Blog Hop

Welcome to the first ever Nina B Designs Dream Team Blog Hop! We are so thrilled to have you join us on this very special day. My friends and I have some projects to show you that feature the Nina B Designs' Spellbinders™ Paper Arts (Home Sweet Home and Sewing Elements), The Craft's Meow Stamps, and Want2Scrap bling.

Here are my projects:

I used Spellbinders Sewing Elements, The Craft's Meow Sew Lovely stamp set and Want2Scrap Borders.  It is hard to believe it is only one stamp and that being the sentiment.  These dies are just amazing and I lightly sponged them with Memento Bamboo Leaves and Desert Sand.

I also made a quick circle card using Spellbinders Home Sweet Home, Want2Scrap Borders, and sentiment stickers from SRM Stickers.

This was so much fun to put together and love this little house.  The patterned paper is Echo Park Splash.

Here is a closer look at the amazing dies Nina has designed that were used for both of these projects:

Now we can't have a hop without giveaways, can we? I added a fun twist to the giveaways. There is a prize hidden in each of the designers' blogs, so, I encourage you to comment on each of them to be entered in all the drawings. Now the rules:
  • The prizes are hidden in the blogs and winners will be drawn randomly.
  • One comment per blog please.
  • The giveaways are open to everybody in the world!
  • The winners will be announced on Wednesday, March 21.
  • This is not required, but if you have projects using NinaB Designs stamps, dies and/or bling (see tabs above), please upload it to the NinaB Designs Flickr gallery, so we can all see your beautiful work. And who knows, I may have a Flickr fan giveaway someday :).
  • This is not required, but please consider liking the following Facebook pages: NinaB Designs, Spellbinders Paper Arts, The Craft's Meow and Want2Scrap. These companies provided some of the prizes today. Join me in thanking them and tell them NinaB Designs sent you. Thank you, friends. :)

PDCC121 ~ Sew Pretty

I recently received the beautiful stamp set Sew Pretty (from the Craft's Meow) in the mail and paired it with the Spellbinders dies Sewing Elements (both of which were designed by Nina Brackett).  Love how they work together so nicely and thinking about what other stamps I have that are sewing themed...  I used Tsukineko Memento Rich Cocoa ink and did a bit of distressing to the layers and Pink Paislee patterned paper.

I am entering this into the Play Date Cafe Challenge (PDCC121) this week:

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

GKD Sew Fun Blog Hop

Welcome to another GKD Blog Hop!  The members of Gina K.'s Design Team have come together to host a hop with sewing as the center theme. Along the hop you will find a variety of sewing techniques from hand sewing to faux sewing!

If you came from Janice's blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.

Here is my card featuring the appearance of stitching using stamps...
The card base is In the Navy and I layered it with White which I embossed with the Cuttelbug Polka Dots folder.  The stamped stitches is In Stitches and I used a sentiment from Sew Pretty, which I thought was quite fitting :o)
The flowers I dyed with Distress stain and added a pearl to each center with Liquid Pearls White Opal.

Head on over to Lee's blog to see what she's sharing with you today!  I am thinking it will be something sparkly, and possibly pink :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Red Dress

Just a quick card to share that I made with Sew Pretty from Gina K Designs.  This was for a VSN challenge and I paper pieced the dress with some For the Record patterned paper from Echo Park.  I also used the Spellbinders die Labels Fourteen and a *new* die set called Fleur de Lis Doily Accents.  LOVE this die and it is a dream to cut and emboss with the Grand Calibur. All of those details just pop right out...a little inside info of a pet peeve of mine...I get annoyed when I have to use my paper piecing tool to get the little die cut pieces out and no longer have an issue.  Now if only I could fix my other annoyances as easily, lol!

This is also for the Paper Crafts Stamp It! Techniques Week Paper Piecing Challenge.    Just LOVE paper piecing!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Webster's Pages

The sketch for this card is from Card Patterns, (CP65). I made this for the Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge #80. The movie this week is Becoming Jane and in addition to being inspired by the movie, we were to use pearls and flowers on our project. Now to clarify, I have not seen this movie yet...but love Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility (and plan on checking this one soon!) I know in the latter mentioned two movies the fabric for the dresses/drapery/furniture is so beautiful and used some Webster's Pages patterned paper as well as a Webster's Pages Coco Bloomer for my card.

I used the two different stamp sets: Lovely Labels and Sew Pretty, as well as some Crochet Natural Lace, which I sponged with Cocoa ink to distress it a bit so it would blend in with the patterned paper. I sponged the edges of the layers with distress ink: Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy, so it also fits for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge #60 this week. Hey Patti and Olga...I am combining challenges again, lol! I love it when you go to make a card and by the end you...LOVE it! That is how it is with this one.... :o) I do not mean to sound prideful at all, just love how all of the elements came together...
Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

Today I am combining 2 challenges into one...yep, trying to do like some of my favorite bloggers...you know who you are, Patti, Lori, Olga, and countless others! The two challenges are the Sketch Girls challenge and the fun Etsy Inspired Challenge.

I used the stamp set Sew Pretty and Nana's Needlework Sentiments for my card as well as from Limelight Papercrafts some gorgeous Webster's Pages and two different lace: Crochet Natural Trim and Delicate Pink Trim. This week the Etsy Challenge is inspired by the beautiful Creations Designs store. I chose these pretty earrings and took my inspiration from these colors.

Limelight Papercrafts is the sponsor this week and the winner will receive some Basic Grey products: Max and Whiskers Epoxy Stickers and Buttons! Please visit the Etsy Inspired Blog for more info and to link up your card!

Card Patterns 63

I made this using the Card Patterns sketch this week. I used some of the beautiful Webster's Pages patterned paper as well as this gorgeous Green Ruffle Trim and Crochet Trim Natural (which I lightly sponged with Antique Linen ink. This beautiful ribbon and Webster's Pages can be found at Limelight Papercrafts and I just love Mandy's fast shipping! ...just a hint on the ribbon....you need 2 yards, at least! One yard is just enough to make yourself mad! :oP) I used a variety of stamps from Gina K. Designs: the label from Lovely Labels, the image is from Sew Pretty, and the sentiment from Thanks a Million. I stamped the paper flowers with two patterns from Vintage Backgrounds, sponged with Antique Linen and layered a Glitter Sparkler on top. My card base is Soft Sand and layered the patterned paper with Fresh Asparagus.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
