Karthi's next with this Mass Actor !

Actor Karthi is back to his very best after delivering a stupendous performance in Madras. Now he is all set to team up with Nagarjuna for a bilingual which will be made in both Tamil and Telugu. The film will be directed by Vamsi Paidipally who has directed two blockbusters in Brindavanam and Yevadu.

Rajeev Kamineni who is part of this project had this to say to Times of India "We were looking at two heroes who had some presence in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries. Though Nagarjuna has done very few Tamil films, he is well known in Tamil Nadu and Karthi's films have been doing well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We approached Karthi even before the release of Madras and he was happy with the script and even gave a couple of inputs. There will be one main heroine and we are looking to cast a top heroine for the role. The others are also being finalized."

Manam is not only rocking the box office but winning our celebrity hearts as well, Our Legendary Kamal Haasan for all the praise for the film and said this was the fitting tribute to Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Now the latest buzz that the film is getting ready for a Bollywood remake and the likely cast is reported to be Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, While Katrina Kaif plays Samantha role while Preity Zinta reprises Shriya Saran's role.

Reliance Entertainment which co-produced Manam are expected to produce this Bollywood remake as well, While Vikram Kumar who directed this original will remake this Bollywood flick as well.

Who is Replacing Nagarjuna & Mahesh Babu in Mani Ratnam film ?

As we earlier reported there were overwhelming reports that Mani Ratnam's Nagarjuna-Mahesh Babu film was dropped, According to sources the lead actors were not happy with the script and hence the pull out. 

There was a buzz that Mani Ratnam has moved to direct Chiranjeevi's 150th film instead, But a source from Times of India has reported that the ace director met Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad at his residence. "The meeting was set up by actress Suhasini to discuss perspective films. One was to explore the possibility of Mani Ratnam directing Chiranjeevi's 150th film. Secondly, Mani Ratnam also sought to discuss the possibility of casting Ram Charan in a multi-starrer which Mahesh and Nagarjuna were supposed to act in but opted out," reported the source.

Apparently, Chiranjeevi politely declined Mani Ratnam's offer to direct his 150th film. However, he gave the nod for the Ram Charan film. "The duo had a long discussion about how Ram Charan would be projected. Chiranjeevi liked the plot line and gave the green signal in principle. Allu Arjun's name also came up in the discussion," adds the source.

Nagarjuna & Mahesh Babu Reject Mani Ratnam ?

It was earlier reported that Mani Ratnam's next would feature Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan. The ace director's wife Suhasini also confirmed the cast. Now the latest buzz is that lead actors Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna aren't satisfied with Mani Ratnam's script and the proposed project has been put on the back burner.

There is also another buzz that Mani Ratnam is now focussed on Chiranjeevi's 150th Film which the legendary director will helm and be produced by Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja. There is no official confirmation on this project yet.

Look who dropped out of Mani Ratnam's Film ?

Mani Ratnam's upcoming film has been in the news for the exciting prospect of Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu sharing screen space with Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan. However a credible source has just reported that there has been a change in Film's cast. "While the film will have Nagarjuna playing one of the lead roles, the team is on the look out for a suitable star for the other role as Mahesh Babu had to opt out, ostensibly, due to date issues. The film will also feature several other top stars including Aravind Swamy."

The source also reported that the film will be colorful one along the lines of Alaipayuthey and Geetanjali which incidentally also had Nagarjuna in the lead role. The shooting of the is expected to commence by June.

Nagarjuna Says He is not that Rich !!!

The Forbes India Celebrity 100 list has generated some huge buzz as fans are debating among themselves their favourite star's fame ranking and the amount they have earned this year. Actor Nagarjuna was however not pleased by this report, The actor reckons his earnings have been grossly inflated. Nagarjuna was ranked 61 in the list of 100 celebrities and was reported with an earnings of 20.5 crores in the year 2013.

Nagarjuna added "Despite my repeated request and email my name appeared with non validated figures. It is my hope that respected business editors estimates are validated by individuals to be more appropriate".

I don't Need a Superstar I need an Actor - Radha Mohan

Radha Mohan is known for his offbeat movies like 'Mozhi', 'Abhiyum Naanum' and 'Payanam'. His recent movie 'Gauravam' has racked some good reviews. Radha Mohan was quizzed upon the reason why he doesn't go for the big actors, here are the excerpts from a recent Interview of Radha Mohan.


"I let my script choose the actors and not vice versa. If I have to work with a superstar, then I make it a point to cast one. Why do I need to work with a superstar if there is absolutely no need for his or her presence,Yes It is very important to have the right actor for the right script. One of the most common mistakes in the industry is mis-casting. I ensure I stay away from it, Nagarjuna was needed for 'Payanam'. The script demanded an actor who could pull off the role and convince audiences that he was a suitable pick. It was the role of a major in the army, and I couldn't possibly rope in a newcomer or a relatively unknown face to play the part, For a film such as 'Abhiyum Naanum', about the relationship between a father and his daughter, I didn't need a superstar. I needed an actor who could play the father's role to perfection.

"The story of Gauravam is about discrimination based on caste-ism,  Sirish has image of the boy-next-door and that makes him ideal for the role. I wanted an unfamiliar face to stand up against the issue because it would have an emotional connect with the audience, If a star actor would have played the role, then I would have had to rely on the commercial style of film-making to do justice to his image. I didn't want that to happen and, therefore, I cast Sirish,"
