Suriya and Jyothika are one of the most loved real life couples in K'Town, Today Jyothika celebrates her 35th Birthday and to mark the special occasion we dug out a special interview from Suriya where he talks about he he first fell in with Jo and much more. Here is the extract from the Times of India interview

I met her in 1999, when she was shooting her first film Poovellam Kettuppar, which happened to be my fifth film. Even though my career was not successful at that time, she became a big star post the film. I was attracted to her for her sincerity. Even though she was a Mumbai girl, who did not know Tamil, she learnt the language and would not fumble with her lines being the only woman amongst men on the set. She had no ego and I liked the way she would treat her assistants and I saw her grow as an actor. But we did not share mobile numbers till three years later, when I was passing her set, trying to avoid her which she saw and asked her assistant to call me. She said, 'Why are you not saying a hi to me?' She was a big star, while I was still struggling and was doing a film Nandha with Bala at that time.

We started talking and I also invited her to open a snooker joint for one of my friends. My actual big break also came through her for Gautham Menon's Kaakha Kaakha, in which she had already been cast. She could not sit in the audience, watched Nandha from the projector room and recommended me to Gautham that made him cast me. We got married in 2006, post which Jo stopped working. I like the fact that she has always been clear-headed about her opinions and people, is humble and takes good decisions.

Also unlike her, I was not as close to my family and she taught me how to become a good father and disconnect from work at home. She makes me give my kids a bath, take them for a drive, put them to sleep and spend time with them. We are good friends and I don't hide anything from her. Unlike me, who is boring, she is fun and speaks a lot. Apart from my director Bala, who always made me realise my potential, she instilled confidence in me. I think Jo likes me being this simple and shy guy despite the family I belong to."

Our Kollywood fans got their wish fulfilled when D2 Entertainment officially confirmed that Jyothika was all set for a comeback in How Old Are You Remake. The gorgeous actress ruled over the industry with her cute reactions and unmatchable expressions.

Now the latest update on Jo's comeback movie is that the certain scripts changes are being made to cater to the Tamil audiences. Jo's real life husband Suriya is also expected to do an important role in the film which is also produced by Suriya under his home production banner in D2 Entertainment which is named after their kids Diya and Dev.

It's officially confirmed that Jyothika will make comeback to silver screen after a gap of 7 years, The beauty queen will star in the Tamil remake of How Old Are You which will be directed by Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Suriya home banner 2D Entertainment.

Here is the story of the film , A 36 year-old Nirupama Rajeev (played by Manju Warrier in the orginal) is a UD clerk in the Revenue Department. The role of her husband is played by Kunchako Boban as Rajeev Narayanan. Her husband Rajeev aspires to emigrate to Ireland, but she can't accompany him as most Irish companies turn down her job applications. There is nothing interesting about her life; she leads a mundane life but she craves for change.

One dramatic day, she gets summoned to the IG's office and she learns that The President of India would like to have a conversation with her. Unfortunately, the meeting turns out to be a disaster and she becomes the butt of Facebook jokes and before long, she watches helplessly as her husband and daughter fly away to Ireland.

Her old classmate Susan David, now a successful business woman, reminds her of the woman she used to be and inspires her to rediscover her younger self, a woman with big dreams and aspirations. Nirupama finds herself face to face with almost every situation that an average woman of her age goes through - from the dread of the fast approaching formidable age of forty, her inability to rise up to her daughter's expectations and the discomfiture of her husband.

Fans here is the breaking news, The charming queen of Kollywood Jyothika is all set for a comeback to big screen, Yes Jo will be starring in the remake of Malayalam super hit film 'How Old Are You". The film will be produced by Suriya under his banner D2 Entertainment.

The film will be directed by Rosshan Andrrews, who also directed the Malayalam Original, It remains to seen if Suriya will play the role of Jo's husband in the film.

Suriya's one condition to act with Jyothika again ?

Over the past few months, a rumor that Jyothika is making a comeback to silver screen has been flooding the internet, Actor Suriya opened up in a recent interview on this regard and said If Jyothika finds a proper script she will definitely make a comeback. Suriya went on clarify that so far she hasn't found any such script.

There were also rumors that Suriya might pair up with Jyothika once again for a Pandiraj film, The real life couple have already shared screen space in 7 movies, Suriya said they will act together if there's enough scope for both of them and the possiblity of this is very high indeed, Suriya however went on to lay one condition for this to happen, He said the directors should not demand a bulk call sheet like 100 + days from Jo because she can't stay away from her kids for more than 2-3 hours.

From Suriya's interview it's clearly evident that Jyothika will indeed make a comeback and the question now is not 'if 'but 'When' ?

If the latest buzz is true, Surya and Director Pandiraj are all set to team for a new film. Director Pandiraj who is currently directing STR-Nayanthara's Idhu Namma Aalu will be directing a children oriented film next and this will be produced by Surya under his own production house D2 Entertainments.

Sources add that Surya will be seen in a cameo role as himself, There is also a buzz that Jyothika might make her comeback with this film. Will we get to see Surya-Jo back at the silver screen ? Only time will tell.

Fans there was a huge buzz going around that the Queen of Cuteness Jyothika could be well on her way to the silver screen. The buzz is that Jyothika and her daughter Diya will act in Pasanga fame Director Pandiraj's child based film. Jyothika is expected to play the role of a school teacher and the film is expected to be produced by Surya's production banner, 2D entertainment named after their kids Diya and Dev.

The National Award Winning Director said Yes, it would be nice if Jyothika madam enacts the role. It is not true that she has given her nod to come on board as reported in certain sections of the media. I am yet to meet and discuss the script with her.” Pandiraj also clarified that Diya acting in the film was a baseless rumor.

Actor Surya who injured himself in the sets of Anjaan has taken a break and is currently on a vacation in the US. According to a source as reported by Times of India, "Suriya's taken a month-long break and is off to the US with his family. Amidst his busy schedule, he ensures that he spends quality time with his children. He usually plans his schedule balancing both his work and family."

"Suriya has completed about 90 per cent shoot for Anjaan. It was during the last day of the shoot that he injured his leg for which he was asked to take rest. He was even spotted with a walking stick on the voting day. He is yet to completely recover."

Surya is reported to complete the final song for Anjaan after coming back and then immediately commence Venkat Prabhu's film.

As SS Music reported yesterday there were numerous buzz that Queen of cuteness Jyothika was all set for a comeback to Kollywood with Director Pandiraj's next after STR's Idhu Namma Aalu. The Pasanga director in a recent interview to the Chennai Times clarified on the rumors

“Even I got to know of my meeting with actress Jyothika from tweets and posts on other social networking sites. However, the truth is I haven't met her until now nor have I narrated my script to her,Seeing all the interest that people have been showing in this issue, I feel this is a good idea and am now thinking of narrating my script to her"

There are also some unconfirmed reports that Jo was earlier approached by another Kollywood director but she had turned down that offer.

The Queen of cuteness Jyothika is all set for a comeback in Kollywood if rumors are to be believed. The latest buzz is that the actress will make a comeback to the silver screen in Director Pandiraj's next. Sources add that the Pasanga director recently narrated a children oriented script to Jo and the actress was very much impressed and seeked permission from Surya who has also given the green light.

Director Pandiraj is currently directing STR-Nayanthara's Idhu Namma Aalu while Jyothika was last screen on the main screen with Mozhi way back in the year 2007.
