RR Christmas Wonderland

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is full of goodies from the ..::RR::.. Christmas Wonderland event. There are gifts in small hat boxes for $10L or less, and the organizers (RR) have several displays that each have multiple gifts in their own squared boxes with photos attached of the contents. I believe this is their 7th year of this particular event, and I certainly hope to see it continue long into the future :) There's even a daily Advent calendar not far from the landing spot, so they are on my list of places to visit daily this month.

My first look this evening is the beautiful Psyche's Pstyles Calyx Dress Holiday Edition gift, which can be yours for just $1L. High-low hemlines always make me happy, and this strapless dress is decorated with poinsettias for a festive touch. There are sizes for Erika, Freya, Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies provided.

If you peeked at this photo of our free H.O.P.E. Roxanne Dress gift and noticed hey nice, there are two different colors, I have good news - there are actually four! We have separately packaged black, blue, red, and gold versions, each of which include the dress and matching shoes in Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh body sizing. That is the gold variety on the left and blue on the right, and I genuinely like all of them so these were random picks :) It's hard to resist sequined stripes, intricate neckline straps, and heels that lace all the way up to the knee. That gold has caught my eye as a potential New Year's Eve look, which will be here before we know it.

Starlight Apparel has a cute $1L gift for us, called .{SA}. Regan Outfit Red. The top and skirt are linked to wear all at once, in sizes for Gen X Classic, Gen X Curvy, Erika, Kupra, Legacy, Bombshell, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Lara X, Petite X, Reborn, and Waifu bodies. The color reminds me of somewhere between chili and brick, but softer? I really like the way the bow on the top creates a heart shape for that opening :) In the rear view on the right you can see the tattoo I'm wearing, our free *Moon Bound* Seasons Blessings gift. That is exactly what it says on the left thigh, while the right thigh has a snow globe with pretty red ribbon tied around it. The tattoo is a BOM layer so it should be compatible with most mesh bodies as well as classic avatars.

Next I changed into the adorable SH0098 Ladies Santa snow angel shirt from Angel's Amazing Creations. If I'm recalling correctly this is the store that has free gifts in vendors under their Christmas tree rather than in the red and green hatbox style of the others, one male and one female. Doesn't Santa look like he's having the time of his life here, playing in the snow with those rosy cheeks and huge smile? The long shirt is provided in Freya, Isis, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, and Reborn mesh body sizes, and we can easily layer our favorite pants or leggings beneath. 

My final look of the evening is the ..::RR::.. Christmas Dress Stars GIFT which can be yours for just $1L. The rose gold stars look so lovely against the dark background, and wrap dresses are always a win in my book :) There is a classic M size included as well as sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies. 

I went to a Dollar Tree as one of my outings for the week, and it was not the most successful trip as I was planning on getting a birthday card for my godfather (I usually get Uncle cards for him since that's how I've always referred to him and godfather cards are quite rare) but the selection was dreadful. There were only 2 uncle cards and they were just blah, hard to explain but definitely not my taste or his. Otherwise the car ride was challenging but I made it, hehe, and the weather was chilly but clear. I hope you're all having a nice day/evening, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

Christmas Wonderland

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are plunging into the holiday season by visiting the .::RR::. Christmas Wonderland shopping event. There are lots of themed items for sale to help you with your holiday wardrobe and home decor, plus many gifts for $10L or less at most of the displays. This is their 5th year of holding this particular event, and I have certainly enjoyed visiting each December :) We can even click the Advent calendar near the landing area, just walk through the lit arches into the main event and you'll see the large board with the days of the month. That is free with no group needed, important info for those of us who are starting to sift through details of the hectic Advent season in SL. 

My first look tonight is the ::DS:: Jingle Bells outfit, which is a $1L gift from Dark Salvation. The top, shorts, and leggings are each provided in sizes for Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn mesh bodies. I like the way the leggings and shorts have the same pretty pattern, while the shirt says "Jingle Bells" among multicolored snowflakes. This way we can pair the top with either bottoms, depending on the weather and our mood :)

Another fantastic dollarbie gift I picked up was the .::RR::. Christmas Dress Stars, so yes it is courtesy of the organizers of this particular event :) The flirty wrap dress fits Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, Tonic Fine, and Voluptuous mesh bodies, as well as being included in a classic M size. The black fabric is beautifully decorated with rose gold stars, reminiscent of the holidays but not really limited to them.

The [Enchantress] Zelie Dress 3 is a free gift that instantly caught my eye with lots of wintry patterns on a halter dress that dips daringly low in the back. In sizes for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies, this flattering style can be changed to your choice of 8 textures with the included HUD, so it's really like eight playful looks rolled into one fun gift. 

As soon as I first saw Psyche's Pstyles at another event (it was a Cheeky Monkey one ♥) i knew I'd be a big fan, and the ability to pick up their Starry Mints Dress treat for just $1L certainly helps maintain my fandom status ;) This strapless mini is trimmed in lush white fur with a red belt at the waist, tied in a sweet ribbon. Did anyone else have a grandma or older relative/neighbor who always had those starlight mints on hand? Fond memories, and the ones on our dress have no calories and won't stick to your teeth. Sizes include Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. 

My final look of the evening starts with a touch of advice that is a reminder of an SL oddity that we all need to be aware of. That would be the inability to unpack a no-copy item from an attached object like an unpacker HUD, so if anything inside one is no-copy (like this dress!) you will get a folder with just the copyable items. The only way around it is to rez on the ground (your home or a sandbox) and unpack it the traditional way. The Zola Designs Sweater Dress Christmas Color HUD is obviously well worth the extra couple of seconds of effort :) This cozy turtleneck sweater dress fits eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. It also contains a HUD with a whopping 16 seasonal textures, all well suited to the style of the dress and the time of year. Keep browsing the event and you'll find another Zola Designs gift too, that also needs to be unpacked manually despite saying ADD ME in the name of the item. It would be truly a shame to lose either of them to the SL no-copy unpacking quirk, don't you think?

I had a nice day that took a weird turn by evening, so now I'm just drained. I ate dinner at my parents', and while it was a very nice visit, the simple act of eating threw my stomach into a tizzy which made my anxiety skyrocket. The brief ride home felt like hours, LOL, and I nearly bulldozed my way out of the car and into the house when we got here. My therapist wouldn't be too impressed with my lack of composure :P  Despite still feeling a bit shaky and uneasy, I am glad to be here blogging and have been organizing notes on where to visit each morning for Advent. Walking in a Christmas Wonderland

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are taking a look at some more $1L gifts found at the Christmas Wonderland by ..::RR::.. where yesterday's post featured too. There are hunt prizes and lots of gifts for $10L or less, some of which are at the individual displays and some prizes found all around the event area. There are rides and lots of beautiful seasonal decor, so be sure to look around all over and enjoy yourself!

My first look this evening put me in a warm and cozy mood by its style and texturing. It is the *Mara's Mysteries* Roll-neck Sweater Dress - Snowbears which can be yours for just $1L. It is provided in standard mesh sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body versions. There is also a HUD so you can choose from 4 background colors for our adorable bear, who is holding a candy cane and wearing a blue dotted scarf. 

This lovely outfit is the $1L gift from Blackbirdlace called FABIA Cape and Dress by BL. The mini dress and shoulder cape are each trimmed in white fur, with matching white tree outlines on a red backdrop. Spooktakulum Treasure Hunt

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we are headed to the Spooktakulum event at Wonderland Beach, which has a cart sale and treasure hunt for us to enjoy. For the treasure hunt we are looking for traditionally shaped treasure chests which open to reveal gold inside when clicked, and distribute generous gifts. There are some that are trivia versions so you will have to answer a seasonal question correctly (you can try again if you get it wrong or spell it wrong) to win an A&A hairstyle in Halloween colors. The chests can be found at or near the carts and inside some of the stores that outline the cart sale, so be sure to pop into those too and have a peek around. As always the area is decorated beautifully, matching the spooky theme just right.

For my first look of the evening, we see the Starlight Apparel prize, called .{SA}. Laurel Dress Blush. This artfully torn mini dress comes in sizes for Freya, eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Hourglass, Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, Petite, Signature Alice, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. The bats certainly add a spooky flavor to our gift :)

It starts with system/BOM layers for the entire bodysuit with gloves and mask, then continues with the cat ears that are unrigged so you can adjust as needed. There are 6 ropes total for upper and lower arms and both ankles, animated black tail, a pair of whiskers, and a lip ring with cat paws that dangle from our lower lip. All in all it is a very complete and alluring look.

Next I changed into the ..::RR::.. Net Dress Black Hunt prize, another fantastic free treat for finding a treasure chest. It has the appearance of a shredded long sleeve top layered over a strapless bra and mini, all worn as one piece in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes. While it works well for the season, I think it is suited to any time of year.

My final look of the evening is a closer view of the nail art I have been enjoying this evening. The .::LUNA::. Body Art treasure chest contains their Halloween Mix Gift - Nails, with 5 designs on appliers for Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink hands. Besides the two shown above, there are bats and the spider who created the webs I'm wearing here, lots of treats for this season.

My evening was much more exciting than my day, as I am thrilled at the start of the new NHL season and watched my favorite team win spectacularly. The water company is almost done replacing the pipes on my street I think, just another couple of days to put up with all that noise. I have a few choices for tomorrow's blog post so I will be exploring and deciding later, very grateful that Halloween brings out so much creativity and generosity in SL. High Tides and Good Vibes

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I have some hunt prizes to share from the High Tides and Good Vibes Hunt. This is a fun dollarbie gridwide hunt by Cheeky Monkey Hunts, in which we are searching for a starfish (with the exception of one store, as I will note) that contains the prizes. The hunt's website guides us with landmarks, hints, and preview photos, so it is handy to have it available while you are out on the hunt path. There are also some $25L exclusive gifts hiding in starfish at some of the stores as indicated on the website, but tonight's post is featuring the $1L treats. 

My first look this evening is the $1L prize from PinkFunk, their [PF] Happy Dress green Pink duo. The green and pink versions are each provided in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies. The belts are built in and have a delightful golden shimmer, and the asymmetrical hemline is a playful touch. 

Next I headed to ..::RR::.. to claim their Tia Dress, which as the sign near the front desk will show you, is hidden inside a heart instead of the starfish you will be looking for elsewhere. The strapless dress has a longer hem in the back, and a beautiful pattern of tropical flowers and greenery with solid red belt built in to really highlight the floral coloring. Our prize includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes. 

I always enjoy when a hunt path leads to The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co., as this one does with their $1L prize SUMMER LOADING Tee. That loading bar is familiar to anyone who uses a computer, phone, or tablet, and I am ready to load myself a fun season :) The toucan above made my bird-loving heart smile of course, and even the script used to spell out Summer is a whimsical detail. They look to have a bikini layered beneath, as both pieces have slender straps in a colorful print peeking out. 

My final look of the evening is the perfect way to vibe into summer, thanks to [Ari-Pari]. It is their beautiful Isla Ruffle Bikini - CMH June, a two piece swimsuit with pretty shoulder ruffles and intricately wrapped straps to hold the top in place above the string bikini bottoms. There is a green option if you are a traditionalist for your tropical trees, LOL, but I am digging the hot pink!

The weekend is coming to an end, and I am celebrating by listening to the 70's music station on TV which is making me feel very old! I knew way more songs than I expected, but have gotten a lot of laughs from it :) Realizing that you probably skated to a certain song (Boogie Wonderland) at the roller skating rink? Yep that is showing my age, so maybe I should be careful not to laugh too hard or I might sprain something. The trip to the market was definitely fun, even if preceded by a weird happening...I woke up to a sharp pain and a wriggling feeling that turned out be a large carpenter ant who had bitten me and gotten its pincers stuck in my skin. It took me a few minutes to pull it free, those pincers were really in there. Yuck. I managed to free the ant without injuring it, and I must have rolled over on it to scare it and prompt it to bite in self-defense because they are not usually aggressive. That is some bad luck that I do not want to ever repeat, for the ant's sake or mine. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, many magical magpie hugs to everyone!!

She's a Beauty

 Hiya everyone! Tonight's post is another dive into the bevy of wonderful group gifts available for the anniversary round of the Beauty Sales Event. There are over 100 participating designers with $77L special selections, and most of them have free gifts for the (free to join) event's group in black gift boxes with gold ribbon. There were so many incredible treats that it has been a fun few days of sharing them :) I cannot pick just one favorite gift and might not even be able to narrow it down to a top ten! This celebration round is open until the 11th so you have just over a week left to stop by and treat yourself to something new and something free.

For my first look of the evening, I started with the lovely ..::RR::.. Flower Dress Nude GIFT which is adorned with beautiful lilies. It comes in sizes for eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh bodies with a fitted classic version for classic avatars. Its strapless style has a neckline just low enough to showcase the Damaged Society gift, their [DS] To Live Tattoo Bom. It says "To live will be an awfully big adventure" and is decorated with stars above and a heart below the text. There are male and female versions, probably for correct placement. The system/BOM layers are ideal for classic avatars along with all BOM-compatible mesh bodies. 

Next we have our gift from Bens Boutique, called Alodit Dress - Hud Driven. The very sexy crossed halter dress is very revealing with the cleavage-baring cutout and the gathered right side on an already brief skirt :) The gift includes Classic, Legacy, Maitreya, and Petite sizing, with a 24 color HUD so you can customize the look easily. All colors are the same animal print, very alluring!

Usually camouflage is used to hide or draw attention away from things, but I can guarantee that the ZFG HEATWAVE - CAMO knotted tank top does no such thing! The delicate body art on my chest is the Dragonfly Tattoo from YARENIE. My final look this evening begins with the Anthemis - Top Gift, a single shouldered tank top in sizes for Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, and Petite mesh bodies. There is also a 7 color HUD for extra versatility, which I always appreciate. The hem lands at just the right spot for me to be able to show off another gift, the Lulle / Lilac belly piercing from Bombshell. There are versions rigged for Freya, Kupra, Legacy, and Maitreya bodies, with a HUD that lets you choose from 13 colors each for the diamonds and the petals. As you can probably tell better from the inset, there are 3 diamonds including the one that makes up the center of the flower, and there are several (10 I believe) petals that look beautiful in any color you choose. This button provided more of a multicolor effect, so I couldn't resist showing you the closer view of it. 

We are more than halfway through the week, down the homestretch and I am delighted about that :) My appointment earlier went well, and I will go back in 4 weeks to get a tune-up. I have one quiet day before 2 busy ones, so there are a few things around the house that I'd like to get done but nothing exciting. 4 Seasons Anniversary

 Hiya everyone! Tonight I invite you to celebrate the 4 Seasons Event and their first anniversary with me. As many events do, they are decorated for the occasion, and have their usual exclusives indicated with a sticker that has a "1" candle on it. There are also gift dispensers at many displays with a similar sticker, although a few were in gift boxes instead. You will need the free 4 Seasons group tag to claim them, so be sure to join when you land. There are many generous designers with all sorts of wonderful creations, and although I focus on female fashions here I do think there is a little something for everyone to appreciate. 

My first look is a fun gift from Meander called M/M Lamour Sarong. This tropical treat comes in Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing, with a HUD offering 4 vibrant textures. It is named after Dorothy Lamour, whose picture appears on the HUD with a relevant quote. I certainly feel like wearing this to a tropical region and having a fruity drink!

I do have a fondness for denim, so this gift from ..::RR::..  called Jeans Dress Blue makes me very happy. This gift includes fitmesh standard sizes as well as eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine versions. The strapless mini is trimmed in black with a neat woven texture in various shades of denim blue. 

Next we see the -siss boom- hey sailor! gift, which is a three piece outfit with a playful spirit. The strapless top is mesh and comes in sizes for Altamura, eBody Curvy, Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Perky, Maitreya, Petite, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine bodies. The capri jeans are a system/BOM layer, and the matching sailor cap is adjustable which is very handy. Did you notice the bow in the front of the waistband on the top? I do enjoy details like that. 

Those capris came in handy for me to keep wearing while showing you a different shirt, this time the .{SA}. Kisses Red Cropped T-Shirt gift from Starlight Apparel. This flirty tee is provided in Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique mesh body sizes, with a heart saying XOXO embossed on the front. I am a year-round fan of hugs and kisses, so despite this almost appearing to be Valentine themed, I will gladly year it any time of year. 

For my final look of the evening, I decided to get ready for bed with the SLC Lace Lingerie Get Attention Appliers which is our gift from Serina Lacava. The lacy bra and panties are a delicate shade of pale blue, and come in system/BOM layers along with Belleza, Maitreya, Omega, and Slink appliers. I was already set for Bakes on Mesh so I chose one of the system layers for each, to great effect. The lace is sheer enough on the bra cups that my hand placement was necessary, otherwise my 'modesty flowers' would have been used in photoshop ;) 

Today was a slightly better day than yesterday, although my emotions are all over the place so I have to very intentionally try to remain calm and positive. Tomorrow I will be sharing more finds from 4 Seasons, which I am looking forward to because there are several more gifts that I adore and am eager to show you. Bunny Kisses and Enticed Wishes

 Hiya everyone! Tonight we prepare for the weekend with hunt prizes and a Saturday Sale treat :) The hunt is called Bunny Kisses and Easter Wishes, and it lasts until the end of the month so there is still some time to claim beautiful $1L prizes and $25L exclusive offers hiding in striped eggs. There are preview images on their website as well as hints and the landmarks to navigate from store to store, so you will want to have that available while you hunt. The Saturday Sale offers I mentioned are from Entice, who love to save us money by taking part in this event regularly with special colors and discounts on previously released versions of their popular creations. There is much to see tonight!

My first stop was ..::RR::.. where I followed the hint for the $1L hunt prize and claimed their Romantic Dress Cute. It was not in an egg however, but rather a red heart which I believe happened there before with a hunt. The hint still worked, and I happily obtained this pretty dress in loads of sizes: 5 classic and 5 fitmesh standard for classic avatars, and sizing for Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. Did you notice the daring slit on the right side of the skirt? It goes aaaaalll the way up and makes this extra flirty!

Next I found the $1L prize at Refugee Fashion, called {RF} Booty Short/Top/Sandal. This versatile outfit is just right for warmer weather, and is provided in a delivery HUD that you just need to click the brand of mesh body you wish to wear the outfit with. There are logos for Belleza (Freya, Isis, Venus), Legacy, Maitreya, Slink (Hourglass and Physique), and Tonic (Curvy and Fine) with each folder containing the top, shorts, and flat sandals for that body. There is also a HUD in each folder with 6 choices for the top and shorts, plus all sorts of shoe options: 6 each for straps and insole, 10 for the sole, and 5 metals. The color options are solid colors that match the single patterned choice wonderfully as you can see. 

Another of my favorite stops in any hunt path that includes them is [Ari-Pari], especially since I appreciate their use of HUDs and that every hunt prize they create is exclusive to that specific hunt. This is their Sweet Hearts Romper - BKEWH, hiding inside that $1L striped egg just waiting for you. It includes Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, and Physique sizes, plus a 10 color HUD so you can choose the background hue for the petite white heart pattern. The strapless style makes me think of warm spring and summer days while being just an all-around flattering look. 

The Sissy Bar is also a reliable stop for finding excellent hunt prizes, and their (TSB) Bunny Kisses Tank Dress is a great example of that. Just look at that perfect shade of lavender, and those precious bunnies floating by with their bouquets of balloons! The prize includes a standard size for classic avatars as well as versions for Freya, Isis, Kupra, Legacy, Legacy Perky, Maitreya, Maitreya Petite, Slink Hourglass, and Slink Hourglass Petite bodies. I love the way both sides are gathered and tied at the bottom of the hem with loose bows, just adding to its playful nature. 

For my final look of the evening, we head to Entice and their Saturday Sale display where there are 4 new versions of this striking Aniron Outfit corset dress on sale for $75L apiece. On the left I am wearing the Floral - Lilac, and the Celtic - Peach is seen on the right. These gorgeous outfits have a high collar in the back, and the corset layer creates a slightly longer tail in the back with a split in the middle for ease of movement. There are also panties built in which I appreciate. In addition to these two, there are also a solid pink and striped copper among the new offerings. Each includes Freya, Hourglass, Legacy, Maitreya, and Maitreya Petite sizing.  Hiya everyone! Tonight I indulged my sweet tooth by looking for pink frosted donuts, thanks to the Life Is Sweet (And So Are You!) Hunt. I really appreciate the name of this hunt, which has $1L prizes as well as $25L exclusives hiding in the sweet treats. Please visit their website to get the landmarks, hints, and preview photos that also tell you which priced items are available. There are lots of pretty springtime colors among lots of dessert themed goodies, and fortunately for us there are no calories in SL so it's all good ;) I also have a quick hair note tonight, as I am wearing the newest VIP group gift from Truth Hair. That is one small investment of a group fee that I could never regret, please excuse my fangirl moment there. 

My first look is dripping with sweetness, quite literally :) It is the ..::RR::.. Chocolate Strawberry Dress, their $1L prize, and I was surprised to realize that instead of the pink donut for this hunt it is tucked inside a red heart. If you follow the hint and look for a heart instead it is fairly easy to find. This super short strapless mini comes in fitmesh standard sizes along with eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh body sizing. I love the way the melting drops add shape to the hemline!

Another store with great offerings for this hunt is The Bold Llama T-Shirt Co., whose $1L prize is this wonderful SPLASH OF FLAMINGO Tee. It is provided in standard mesh sizes for classic avatars, plus eBody, Freya, Isis, Venus, Maitreya, Ocacin, Hourglass, Physique, TMP, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine sizing for mesh bodies. That watercolor effect of the flamingo artwork makes this an automatic favorite for me! 

I also found the $1L donut at Starlight Apparel (formerly Aurora's Closet) which rewarded me with their .{AC}. Josette Tube Dress Pastel Pink. Its simple beauty comes from its formfitting shape and charming color. It includes sizes for eBody Classic, eBody Curvy, Freya, Isis, Venus, Legacy, Maitreya, Hourglass, Physique, Signature Alice, Tonic Curvy, and Tonic Fine mesh bodies. 

Strapless mini dresses are a hot item in this hunt, yet each unique either in style or fabric choice :) This lovely one is the BlondeQueen $1L prize called BQ::Lollypop MiniDress, in a pale aqua with cupcakes adorned with candles.
