Here is my first project:
I am in love with these sweet little praying children! I used the Precious Girl
set for my first card. I also wanted to make my card a little vintage
and a little shabby chic! I use several coordinating sheets of Prima
designer paper. I did lots of sponging and distressing and embossing.
If you will notice, I inked and masked the For you from one of the
sentiments and stamped it along the right edge of the card base.
I cut out two diecuts using the ODBD/Spellbinders Antique Labels and Border dies and the ODBD/Spellbinders Recipe Card and Tags dies. I layered these down on the card base and tucked a little distressed and sponged doily behind the label. The Bless the Child sentiment is popped up on the tag. I added seam binding and a Prima flower and leaf to the tag. After I added the lace, I stamped the little girl, colored her with copic markers and then cut her out. She is popped up with foam tape as well. Then I added the row of rhinestones to complete the card!
And here is my second card:
I kept the vintage/shabby look going for this card, which features the new Home of the Free set! The background was created with the Old Flag Background. I sponged ink on the flag using masks for the stripes. Then I embossed it with the SU! folder and distressed the edges. Next, I lightly coated it with white acrylic paint.
I cut out the Spellbinders hearts, sponged them and added to the card base. I colored the eagle with copics and cut him out. Then I stamped the stars and cut them out. The banner is from Memory Box. I masked each letter from the AMERICA sentiment to create the banner. I added lace and beautiful gingham ribbon I recently found at my local thrift store. I made the bow with Becca's Peg Bow Maker.
After putting the card together, I added stickles to the eagle and glossy accents to each star!
Here are all of the ODBD supplies I used for these projects:
