Taylored Expressions September Release Day: From me to you

It is day 3 of the Taylored Expressions release and I made this card using a stamp set from last month's release called Butterfly Parade and a new set called From Me to You.   To celebrate TE's 5th year, they will be offering From Me To You, a special petite stamp set with a coordinating die that features the frame from our new logo. This set will be FREE with orders over $50 beginning on September 5th - September 15th. One free set per customer, while supplies last.

I randomly stamped the darling butterflies on white cardstock in colored inks to create my own background paper.  Then, I used one strip of patterned paper to tie all the colors together.  These two sets are going to be one of my favorites to work with.  The petite stamp set has 4 great sentiments and the butterflies, well...they are butterflies.  What more can I say?  I love me some pretty butterflies, you can never have too many.  :)

All 21 new stamps and dies and a fabulous Halloween Project Pantry kit are now available at the TE Store!

Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peek: Too cute to spook

Hello and welcome to day 2 of the Taylored Expressions September release.  Today I am sharing a card that I made using  Too Cute to Spook stamp set.  This darling set has several little kids dressed in their Halloween costumes, perfect for those little ones in your life.  I chose a CAS design for my card today.

There hasn't been any Halloween papers that has come out the last couple years that I have liked, so  I chose some scraps that had the colors I wanted for my card.  Isn't he adorable?  I stamped, colored and cut this little mummy out on some white cardstock and popped him up with pop dots.  The treat bag was done the same way except not popped up.

I used the sketch at Retro Sketches for my inspiration.

The TE design team has some amazing inspiration for you.

Butterfly Parade

Hello again!  I have one last card to share with you from the Taylored Expressions release.  This stamp set is called Butterfly Parade.  I LOVE butterflies and this is no exception.  One thing about TE stamps is that they are the red rubber foam mounted stamps.  I think I have only ever owned one stamp set like that and it was used one time many years ago when I first started stamping.  I was pleasantly surprised at how well these TE stamps stamp, I got very evenly stamped images every single time.  This set also has a coordinating die set, I don't have the dies so I just fussy cut around the edges to give it that die cut look.

Have A Great Day

Today is the third day of the Taylored Expressions release.  I am featuring a set called Classroom Cuties, it also has a coordinating die set.  I did not have the dies,  so I just used a circle die cut and colored my image with Copics.

Jen has a fun sketch that worked perfectly for my card tonight at Deconstructed Sketch

TE Zinnias

Today is the first day of the August release at Taylored Expressions and I am sharing a card that I made using Zinnia Bouquet.   I love Zinnias and have a whole bunch of them growing under the tree in my front yard.  I leave the heads on after they have turned brown because when they go to seed, the Goldfinches love to eat the seeds.

I colored the stamped image with Copic markers and the patterned papers are from Simple Stories.  Zinnia Bouquet will be available in the Taylored Expressions store on August 8th.

I was inspired by the variety of colors in the bouquet below.  Don't you just love the soft pare green color?

Happy Fall

Hello my blog friends.  Are you having a wonderful week so far?  We should finally be cooling down a bit here.  I am so looking forward to that.  My poor son is covered in mosquito bites and his allergies are horrible here.  I have a sinus headache myself right now.  Anyway...I realized that I haven't made any fall cards yet.  I had better get them out quick.  I colored this jar of fall fillers a couple weeks ago and wasn't happy how it turned out.  I decided to go ahead and try to use.  I figured maybe it would look better all put together.
I saw Michelle's new Christmas Jar filler set.  It is very cute.  I wasn't planning on ordering this release from PTI since nothing really caught my eye.  But I realized I don't have very many Christmas stamps and that Jar Filler set has a lot of possibilities for cute tags and such.  I used the sketch at Taylored Expressions to get me started.  She has some cute new stamps sets on her release too.  There can almost be too many choices sometimes.
I am off to go check out the craft store and see if I spy any new goodies.  I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week.  I am going to try and make another card today.  I was dreaming of a card last night as I was trying to sleep.  Anyone else do that?  Or am I just crazy?  LOL

You Are So Sprecial To Me/Taylored Expressions

Hello again.  I have been busy all afternoon playing with my new Flourishes stamps.  I have had these papers and cardstock sitting out for some time now.  I loved the citrus feel and bright colors.  The only thing was I didn't have anything that would go very well.  That was until now.  I used the Strawberry Set and also added a little Glossy Accents to the Strawberries.

I used the same sketch at Taylored Expressions that I used earlier this week.  I happened to see when I went back to make another card that I won a place at last weeks Top Crops over there.  Woohoo!
I tried my hand at the Tim Holtz Antique Linen sponged around the Spellbinders die.  I did practice first to see which color I wanted to use.  I like the way it turned out.  I usually just ink the edges.  When I have tried to do the inside before, I had a hot mess.

This is the picture where I added the Glossy Accents.  It wasn't in the previous pictures.  But daylight was running out.  So I just added a photo.  This is the first time I have used it.

Supplies:
Cardstock:PTI/Pure Poppy,White
DP: Basic Grey/Nook and Pantry, Cosmo Cricket, De Lovely
Stamps: Flourishes, Strawbetty set
Ink: Memento/Tuxedo Black and Tim Holtz/Antique Linen
Seam Binding: Memrie Mare
Twine: Martha Stewart

I enjoy every single comment I get.
I appreciate all of you dearly.

PTI Blog Hop/Taylored Expressions

I am back for a second post today to participate in the PTI Blog Hop.  This month you are to share a skill or  technique you have learned from a fellow blogger.  Well I have learned so much from PTI designer Mellissa Phillips.  She has the prettiest shabby chic style I have ever seen.  I love the pastel colors and shabby seam binding she seems to work her magic with.  I could only hope to have mastered half her talent.

Round and Round is one of my favorite PTI sets.  The frame and pretty flowers, birds and butterfly options for the center stole my heart when I saw it.
I paired it with pretty Basic Grey Sugared paper and PTI's new Fine Linen satin ribbon.  I used the Mat Stack 1 PTI die.
I used this weeks sketch at Taylored Expressions to get me started for the Blog Hop.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Aqua Mist
Stamps: PTI/ Round and Round
Paper: Basic Grey Sugared
Ribbon: PTI/Fine Linen
Seam Binding: Bluebirdlane Etsy
Ink: PTI/Black, Hawaiian Shores
Other: Doily,Pearls

Taylored Expressions #128

Hello.  I finally got some time today to make a couple cards.  I made this one for the sketch over at Taylored Expressions.  As soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect for one of my sweet vintage images.
I found this little crystal charm in one of my mom's boxes of charms.  Isn't this the sweetest little vintage image?  I fell in love with the soft colors.  It is an old Perfume ad.

Sorry this is short and sweet.  My son has a TON of homework.  Research on the Iroquois Indians and Airplanes as well as spelling and a math sheet.  Go figure.

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI/Rustic Cream
DP: My Minds Eye, Basic Grey
Image: from my collection
Lace: by the yard at JoAnn
Seam Binding: Bluebird Lane Etsy

Heather
