JOHN LEUZARDER, a Christian survivor of cancer, will address the theme "GOD's GRACE IN CANCER OF THE TONGUE."

Back in August of 2007, John discovered, after a year-and-a-half of visiting five different doctors due to a persistent mild sore throat, ear discomfort, and a metallic taste on the left side of his tongue, that he had a T3 Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The treatments began in September, 2007, which involved 42 radiation sessions and weekly Erbitux injections. The side effects included severe acne of the face, neck, chest and scalp, as well as inside the nose, mouth and ears. Other side effects included nausea, frequent vomiting, severe constipation, mouth sores and dry mouth due to loss of saliva function which combined to cause an inability to eat solid food. John has also lost his sense of taste. John will demonstrate how his emotions began as despair and fear and ended in optimism and thankfulness to God, and why he believes this trial was a gift from a loving Father that has transformed him into a better man and servant of Christ. John is also the author of The Gospel For Children now in it's third printing and available in English, French and Portuguese.
