A Few Christmas Cards

Well here are a few cards I have working on for Christmas. I have quite a few more to do and it always seems that I end up waiting until the last minute to finish things. I am one of the world's worst procrastinators...but then again, I work great on a deadline! Go figure!

I love the cute little House Mouse Christmas stamp I just happened to find at Hobby Lobby for....yep, 71 cents. Can you believe it? Such a cutie! I also used my Cricut for the cards, as well as papers by The Paper Studio, Bazzill, & Autumn Leaves. The ribbons are American Crafts & Michael's, the sentiments are SU.

I should be back in a day or two with some more projects I have been working on too! Some layouts, some holiday decorations and some cards! Happy Scrapping!

Cards for Soldiers

I am completely loving being on The Lime Light DT! Having the opportunity to do so much for others with my hobby is so rewarding and I feel so blessed to have this chance.

Task 10 for DT members was to create at least 15 cards for soldiers that are going to be mailed off by the fabulous Leah, who will then see the cards are sent off to a particular group. I really enjoyed making the cards for all the men and women that are serving our country proudly! It is really an honor to be able to know that I contributed somehow!

I made a variety of cards that included a 5 card happy birthday set to love, thanks, & thinking of you sentiments. I also used a TON of products for the cards! I used mostly SU & Studio G for the sentiments. The paper included Bazzill, The Paper Studio, DCWV, American Crafts, Daisy D's, K&Co., and Autumn Leaves. I used my watercolor pencils on the some of the images and the ink for the stamps was Staz On, SU, or Studio G. I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots & Birds and Swirls folders. I used my Mini Monograms cart for all the scalloped & regular circles. I also used George some for the flower, diamond, and ovals on the monkey card. All the embellies on the birthday set are stickers from my stash that I put on chipboard and then cut out. The ribbon is mostly Target, American Craft, and Michael's. Flowers are Prima and the bling is by Studio G I believe.

My absolute fav card is the yellow butterfly! I just loved how it turned out & almost kept it for myself! hehe! And, the card was also inspired by the terrific Leanne! She did a similar card awhile back and I absolutely loved it! She is inspirational! I also loved the cherry cards too and I really liked how the fall card turned out as well! For our next task, we are again doing the cards for soldiers. If you would like to contribute in some way, we would love for you to do so! This is such worthy cause and so rewarding!

Lime Light Task 9

This was my first task for The Lime Light since becoming a DT member and it was a very special one. A team member's sister in law is a breast cancer survivor so this particular task benefitted the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC.) For this task, I made a set of five cards that could either be kept together or separated for individual cards. I also made little tea bag holders. The cards were for a variety of events including birthday, thank you, thinking of you, friendship and an any occassion card.

I used a variety of products on the cards and tea envies including Bazzill, DCWV & The Paper Studio cardstock, Primas, skittles, buttons, ribbon, stickles, digital stamps, & my watercolor pencils. I also used my Cricut - mostly Mini Mongrams & All Mixed Up for the cards & Beyond Birthdays for the cups on the tea envies. The patterned paper for the envies was mostly Autumn Leaves. Here are closeups of my two fav cards too! I wish the stickles on the cherry & sprinkles had shown up better in the photo.

If you get a moment, please check out The Lime Light and see all the amazing projects the DT is making. As well, you can see what task we are working on and decide if you would like to donate to a fabulous cause too!

Happy Scrapping!

Basking in the Lime Light

I am so super excited to say that I have been chosen to be part of the design team for The Lime Light! Woo Hoo!!

For those not familiar with the site, The Limelight Scrappers are a DT who have a unique purpose...they use their crafting skills to bring light and life to others in need. The charitable design team uses their crafting skills to make cards and bookmarks for our men and women in uniform, make journals for families whose children are in the hospital, make cards for baskets that help raise money for playground equipment, and more! Their latest project was creating cards and layouts to raise funds for animal rescue shelters! How cool is that?! Especially since that is a project very near and very dear to my heart, due to our beloved fur baby Sid, who himself is a rescue.

Everyone is encouraged to check out the site and visit often to see what the DT is up to and how you could even help a good cause too! I hope you not only take the time to visit the site, but to also help out if you get a chance with any of the projects that interest you. We would love to see you there!!
