Sweet Sunday Sketch #11 - Welcome Little One

Hi There!!!

I'm back!!!! Still not 100%, but functioning well enough to have a play with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch... Have I mentioned how much I LOVE her sketches.... I'm sure I have, but just in case... I ADORE them! hahaha.

Here is the gorgeous sketch we had to play along with this week:-

And here is my card.

Last week I made this card for the Challenge ( A Baby Boy card) and just in case my beautiful friend's sister has a little pink person, I've used this weeks Sketch Challenge to make 'A Baby Girl Card'.

I've used Very Vanilla as the base and some Au Chocolat DSP (very very retired), but I LOvE the colour!! I've also used some Pretty in Pink... well what else for a little girl and my Nursery Necessities set for the little elephant. Oh the flowers are from my Forever in my Heart set (which by the way RETIRES tomorrow!!!!) I've stamped the elephant in Pretty in Pink and then restamped and cut out the ear which I coloured in using my Regal Rose marker and then covered with a bit of Dazzling Diamonds and popped it up on a dimensional. The flowers are stamped in Pretty in Pink and have buttons from my Earth Elements button collection, they've all been popped up too.

I used some Regal Rose and Pretty in Pink ribbons and that's pretty much it.

I hope you like, and thanks for stopping by.

A Wedding!

Hi There, hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. This one is going to be pretty quick unfortunately.... I'm currently fighting a NASTY Bug, which seems to have knocked me for a SIX, hopefully I'll make it to bed early and feel better in the morning.. technically I should get an extra hour sleep tonight, given Day Light Savings finishes at 2am here in WA... here's hoping my little darlings SLEEP for the extra hour!!!! Well one can hope can't they..hahaha.

Anyway lets get back on track... some of our dear friends (Craig and Kellee) are getting married tomorrow so I had to make a card for them on their very special day. Given I'm not feeling the best, I just wanted it to be quick and simple but classy and elegant. Well, here's what I came up with, and I think I managed to achieve my FOUR wants.

I dont often make ALL White cards, but I figured what could be more simple that white. I've used my Boho Background and Forever in My Heart stamp sets (Forever in my Heart is being retired in3 days!!!!). After sitting at my desk pondering or perhaps procrastinating for a bit I came up with the idea of Heat Embossing one of the background stamps (Boho Backgrounds) onto the card, so I inked up the Flower stamp with my VersaMark Pad and then used some White Embossing powder and my Heat Tool to get the effect on the bottom of the card. Then I used my Forever in my Heart set and stamped the 'love' heart stamp in versamark and the solid spotted heart in versamark and used some Silver Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool, then I popped them all up on some dimensionals. A touch of white ribbon and some silver cord and Voila.... there you have it my 'quick, simple, classy and elegant' Wedding Card.

Oh and if you'd LOVE to get your hands on the 'Forever in Your Heart' stamp set then email me before Tuesday, because on Tuesday this gorgeous set will be retired!!!

HOpe you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.
