Inkspiration Colour Challenge #20

Happy Friday!!! Hope you are all enjoying your Good Friday and are all ready for Easter and all the fun that it brings!!!

Today Keesh has given us a colour challenge to play along with, so I do hope you can find some time to play!!

Here's my card for today's challenge.. I've kept it Clean and Simple, mostly because I wanted to make something for my AWESOME and AMAZING Dad who has been working SOOOO hard here the past few weekends with my also FABULOUS hubby, giving the front garden a little BLITZ!!!

So bearing all that in mind, the most important part being that it is for a BLOKEY bloke here it it:-

And here is the colour swatch for you to see:-

I started with a base of Vanilla then added a layer or Choc Chip and some DSP from my long retired Outlaw pack which uses Creamy Caramel and Very Vanilla. The top panel is Brocade Blue which I've cut with my Scallop Edge Punch and then added a little paper piercing.. I was tempted to use my Apron Lace punch, but thought that my be a little "fancy" for a Blokey Bloke!!! I couldn't resist using just a little ribbon.. I don't think he'll mind too much, I'll just tell him to pretend it's a rag or something... hahaha, and the little button was my FIRST attempt at making my very own, although I got a little over zealous with the Crystal Effects and then wasn't PATIENT for long enough before I started fluffing about with it, so it's a little smudged ... remember ladies.. patience is a virtue when it comes to Crystal Effects.. hahaha.
The sentiment is my very own Handwriting using my Choc Chip Stampin' Write Marker.

Be sure to pop on over to the other DT girls blogs for some more wonderful inspiration:-

Kirsty

Renee

Chantelle

Teneale

Don't forget to link your card to Mr Linky on Keesh's blog too, so that we can all have a looksie at what you've created.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Happy Sunday!!! Hope you've been enjoying your weekend. Today... well today here in Perth we've been given a NICE cool change... phew... it's been wee bit hot, however.... it's just a tease... this week is going to be a HOT one.

I can't even tell you how excited I was when I saw THIS Colour Inspiration Challenge from Kristina... I know, I know... it's just a one off one, but still very VERY EXCITEMENT!!!!

I thought I was going to struggle with this one, well OK I DID struggle with this one. WHY???... Well... you know how we all have some particular colours that we can never, ever, EVER seem to get to do what we want... well this here challenge had a couple of those said colours for me. One of those being Cameo Coral (*waving at ya Sair... I know you'll work wonders with it ;o)).. and More Mustard... actually Yellow.. never ever seem to get that one right.. hahaha.

Anyhoo.... never fear, I wasn't going to let my fears get the better of me, and I can quite comfortably say that I've gone HEAD FIRST with the Cameo Coral as you're about to see... forget about baby steps... this is one HUGE GIANT step!!!

Here's my card

And here is the Colour Inspiration pic that Kristina gave us.... GOtta LOVE those fabrics.:-

I've use Cameo Coral as the Base... I KNOW!!!!! then stamped my image from Framed with Love in Riding Hood Red. I made my flower using Whisper White and So Saffron and added my Mustard contribution in the form of a Button in the centre. The sentiment is from my Sweet Little Sentiment set and is stamped in Cameo Coral ( I told you!!) .
So there you go.. hope you like.

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to pop back later for this weeks AWESOME Sweet Sunday Sketch Sample.

It's time for Kristina's Colour Inspiration Challenge, and I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to get this card done on time... well ok to be honest, I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out. But, I've FINALLY managed to finish it and get it posted for you to have a looksie at.

I got my inspiration for this card from Dawn's gorgeous handmade flowers and used the layout from this card from the lovely Ann. And of course the colours from the talented Kristina. WOW that's a HUGE amount of INSPIRATION!!!

Here's what I came up with:-

Here's the GORGEOUS inspiration photo from Kristina... isn't that Skirt gorgeous and THOSE shoes.... well say no more!!!!

I fluffed around with this card for AGES!!!!... and it quite nearly didn't make it to a photographing, nor Blogging state. I finally settled on Very Vanilla as the base and then added some Really Rust card and DSP (from Falls Flowers - RETIRED). Then some Very Vanilla Wide Grosgrain and a More 4 Mustard button ( also Retired. The layers of the flowers are Really Rust, More Mustard, Very Vanilla and the centre and leaves are Basic Grey. I've added a clear button to the centre too.
The sentiment is from the hostess set 'Sweet Little Sentiments' and I've stamped that in Really Rust and mounted it onto some more Rust cardstock.

Hope you like it. And a HUGE thankyou to the lovely ladies cards that inspired my creation.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Sunday Sketch #22 and a Raspberry Suite Colour Combo

It's Sweet Sunday Sketch time again...YAY... Gosh I love doing these sketches. And this weeks one albeit BEAUTIFUL when I first looked at it I thought I might struggle. But I did indeed enjoy it. So do you want to see the goods.... of course, right?

Oh, I almost forgot... not an uncommon occurance by myself of late!!!! I've combined Karen's fabulous sketch with Dawn's beautiful Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge, again, wasn't too sure how I was going to go with the colour combo...afterall it had BLACK in it.... ooohhh scary sometimes!!!! But again... I think I coped pretty well.

Sooooo... here is my creation, which was actually inspired by this gorgeous card of Dawn's (just adored it the moment I saw it... you know one of those sit there with your mouth open moments!!!...:-

And here is the sketch Karen gave us to work with:-

I used Basic Black textured card as my base then added some Certainly Celery DSP (retired) as my green element, along the bottom and the side. The flourish on Karen's sketch on the left hand side I added to my card by stamping in versamark and then embossed with clear embossing powder. Ooopps almost forgot AGAIN, the flourish is from my Seasons of Joy stamp set...see who said it was just a Christmas set!!! I then cut out a Top Note from the template I got of the SU! Demo Website.... ooohh gotta LOVE being a DEMO!!! and cut it in half and attached to the bottom layer of DSP, then added some Certainly Celery ribbon and a bow with a Very Vanilla Button. Onto the Top Note, I used my flourish again which was stamped in Versamark and clear embossed and the I added a flower from my Cheep Talk set stamped in Certainly Celery and added a Rhinestone Brad to the centre. The sentiment is from the Hostess Set Best Yet and that is stamped in Certainly Celery and added to a Certainly Celery circle scallop.

Hope you like this one, I really enjoyed putting it together.

Celebrate - Kristina's Colour Challenge #54

WOW!!!! It seems like forever since I've done one of the amazing Colour Inspiration Challenges set by the AWESOME Kristina!!!

I wasn't sure how I was going to go with this one... it's got some pretty bright colours to work with, but I managed to come up with a little something.

Sooooo... here is the challenge picture:-

Isn't that car seat cover DIVINE!!!!! Shame little people don't keep them looking like that!!! hahaha
The colours to use were Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky, Green Galore and Whisper White.

And here is the card I made:-

Believe me when I tell you this is not what was in my head when I started. I was thinking of making a little boys card.... hmmmmmm... I'm thinking NOT now!!!!
I haven't actually used Taken with Teal before, and would you believe me if I told you I don't even own a Taken with Teal Ink Pad or Marker!!!!
I've made a card like this before here, and thought given the colours and brightness of the challenge, a nice SIMPLE card was the go.
I've got just the person to give this to so I hope SHE likes it.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Sweet Sunday Sketch meets an Inkspiration Colour Challenge

Hello, Hello!!!.. Hope you are all well. It is of course time for Karen's lovely Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and this week I used the colours from the lovely Keesh's Inkspiration Colour Challenge.

Oohhh what a treat both challenges were. Karen's sketch is just AWESOME... so many cards you can make with this one, and it's a nice and simple sketch too... so why not pop on over and have a go!!! Oh and Keesh's colours... yummy... BRIGHT.. but YUMMY!

Keesh's colours were Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. Now I've warned you that this may be VERY BRIGHT... so take a wee moment to prepare your eyes. OK you ready???

Here it is:-

And here is the picture of Karen's lovely sketch:-

Gorgeous Sketch isn't it?

I used Pink Passion as the base then cut some square using my square punch in Pumpkin Pie and Certainly Celery DSP (both of these unfortunately retired). Then I cut another larger squere in Pink Passion and one in Whisper White to adhere to the middle. My flower is 'Hand made' and boy was it fun and Sooooooo simple. If you want to see how to make these gorgeous little creations yourself, then pop on over and visit Dawn... she's so very clever and her little tutorial is FANTASTIC. Oh dear I got a bit excited there, so, my flower is made by tearing circles of Pumpkin Pie, Pink Passion, Certainly Celery card stock and then I added a button to the centre of it and attached it with some linen thread. The leaves are also just cut out freehand using some spare Certainly Celery DSP.
Oh and not to forget a teensy weeny bit of stamping... the sentiment... is from the lovely Short and Sweet set and I stamped it in Whisper White.

So there you go. My two challenges in one. Hope you like.

Thanks for stopping by.

Circle Circus and Two Challenges in One!!

What a mouthful that was!!! hahaha. I've been wanting to have a go at a couple of challenges lately one being Dawn's Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge and the other being the 2 Sketches 4 You... so I can't tell you my joy in being able to combine the two of them into one card and the bonus of being able to use the lovely Circle Circus Stamp Set too. YAY!!!!

The colours for Dawn's challenge are DIVINE.... Chocolate, Vanilla (Cream), Bright Pink and Kraft.... YUM, YUM, YUM!!!!! and the Sketch was just lovely.

Here's what I came up with:-

I used Chocolate Chip as the base then added a layer of Rose Red and Kraft. On the Kraft I used one of the stamps from Circle Circus stamped in Chocolate Chip. Then I made a large circle using my Round Tab Punch in Choc Chip added a Round Scallop in Very Vanilla and the Flower Circle from Circle Circus in Rose Red. I attached some Very Vanilla Ribbon to the side with a Rhinestone Brad and popped it up on a few Dimensionals. then added some GORGEOUS Rose Red Ribbon (SU!) and the sentiment 'Friend' from Basic Phrases was stamped in Choc Chip on some Very Vanilla card and then onto some Rose Red before being attached with a bit of Linen Thread.

Kristina's Colour Challenge #43

FINALLY!!!! I'm participating in Kristina's Colour Inspriation Challenge this week... it's been a while since I've managed to sit down and make a card for it, and I'm so excited that I made it this week.

Here is the Inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours are Pumpkin Pie, Choc Chip, Ruby Red, Old Olive and Brocade Blue... Believe it or not I DON'T actually have ANY Brocade Blue so I've substituted and used Bashful Blue... I'm sure Kristina will forgive me!!!!

And here is the card I came up with:-

Again, a colour combo which is way outside of my comfort zone, that being PINK and GREEN (granted however there is a shade of green in this card!!)

I started with Whisper White and added a layer of Chocolate Chip to it and tied some Choc Chip Wide Grosgrain and White Ribbon together around the top. Then I used my Round Tab Punch to cut a piece of Blue, Olive, Ruby Red and Pumpkin Pie to make the larger circle behind the Scallop Circle. I've used the Sale-a-Bration set 'Congrats' for the sentiment which was coloured using my markers. The buttons are Pumkin Pie (coloured with my marker), Ruby Red, Old Olive, Bashful Blue and Choc Chip (also coloured with my marker).

Quite a simple looking card, but I hope you like it.

Thanks for dropping by.

Sarah

Wonderful Friend

Hi There!!!

It's Colour Challenge time again and this week Kristina most definately set a HARD one.... gosh, I most definately struggled with this one... but I wasn't going to give in... Here is the inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours we had to use were Ruby Red, Pretty in Pink, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.

And here is the card I came up with:-

I used Whisper White as the base of my card... and in hindsight... probably NOT such a wise choice.. but that's what I started with, so I told myself that's what I'll finish with. I used the same technique that Kristina used on her MACM - Love You Card by scalloping the bottom of the white card and adding a piece of Pretty in Pink on the bottom, which I also added some paper piercing to. I used my Boho Backgrounds stamp set and stamped the flower stamp in Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red and Pretty in Pink then restamped the centre flower in the same colours before I added a tiny bit of 'SPARKLE' then I attached it to each of the images with a silver brad and used Dimensionals to add them to the card. The sentiment 'Wonderful Friend' is also from the Boho Background set which I've stamped in Ruby Red and underlined with the dots on the same stamp which I coloured with my Markers...(oohhh I do LOVE my new markers!!!)
I then added some Pretty in Pink ribbon to finish it off.

So there you have it... for me A VERY tough challenge... and I'm still not sure that I'm happy with the end result.. but I did promise myself I'd get a card done for this challenge.

Hope you like it.

Sarah

Here's what I used:-

Stamps:- Boho Backgrounds
Card:- Whisper White, Pretty In Pink
Ink:- Pretty in Pink, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie

Kristina's Colour Challenge #37

I am so glad to be playing along with Kristina's Colour Challenge this week. I've missed the last few due to Chrissy, Birthdays and New Years. But, I was determined to have a go this week.

Here is the Inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours are Old Olive, Baja Breeze (I;ve used Soft Sky... we don't have Baja Breeze just yet!), Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.

And here is what I came up with... let me tell you though.. It didn't come out at all like I had pictured it in my head... but here it is anyway:-

I actually based this card on a this card I made last year... I really liked the layout so thought I'd have another go at it but with different colours and theme.

I've used Chocolate Chip as the base of the card and have clear embossed using my Polka Dot background stamp, then I've layered some Whisper White and a piece of Soft Sky which I've scalloped and then another layer of Chocolate Chip, which I dry embossed with my Crop-a-dile.. It just gives it another bit of dimension.
I've used flowers from my Felt Fusion (the small ones) and also from my Die Cuts (from the recent Spring Mini) , which I also added a little more dimension by outlining them with my Markers ( and I have to say... WHY DID IT TAKE ME SOOOO LONG TO GET SOME OF THESE???? . One of the few pieces of stamping on this card are the leaves which I've stamped in Old Olive from my Bodacious Bouquet set. The only other bit of stamping is the sentiment 'be happy' which is from my So Many Sayings Set ( Hostess Level 1). Ive stamped that in Pumpkin Pie and layered it onto a small piece of Soft Sky. Finally it is all tied off with a piece of Old Olive Wide Grosgrain and them mounted up on Dimensionals.

Well I hope you like my card for this week. I'll be back soon with some more goodies to show you.

Sarah

Here's what I used:-

Stamps:- Bodacious Bouquet (Leaves), So Many Sayings
Card:- Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Soft Sky

A Little Little One Kristina Challenge!!!

Another week has flown by, and apart from almost chopping my finger off (oh that is a whole other story!!) I've had a good week, busy but good!!! And of course I've managed to sit myself down for another Kristina challenge.

Here is this weeks colour inspiration:-

The colours this week are Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Bordering Blue, Sage Shadow and Certainly Celery.

I've gone a little different this week. It's Jorja's second birthday next Saturday and I want to create a couple of Scrapbook pages of her for the day, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make one... and soooo I did.. You must however forgive me for the photo.. I will take another tomorrow outside, but I didn't want to miss the deadline, so I HAD to take one inside!!!!

Anyway... I've used Perfect Plum as the Base and layered it with some Certainly Celery DSP. The photo is mounted onto a piece of Pale Plum. My flowers are from the Bodacious Bouquet set and I've used Pale Plum then 'Rock and Rolled' the edges in Perfect Plum to give it some depth, the centre flower is stamped in Perfect Plum with a Blue brad in the centre. I used my Big Deal Alphabet and my Simple Serif Alphabet sets for the title which I've stamped in Sage Shadow, Certainly Celery, Pale Plum and Perfect Plum.

So there you have it... My beautiful 'Little Little One' having an OH so RARE moment of stillness... I absolutely ADORE this picture of her. I hope you like it too.

Kristina's Colour Challenge #33

WOW.... it is that time of week again... another Colour Inspriation Challenge set by Kristina. And here is the inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours are Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Taken with Teal, Whisper White and Certainly Celery. I don't actually have any Taken with Teal so I've substituted it with Tempting Turquoise... I didn't think Kristina would mind!!!

Anyhoo... here is my card:-
I've use Chocolate Chip for the base of the card then put a layer of Certainly Celery DSP along the bottom, which I've Faux Stitched using my paper piercer and White Pen, I've also added some Certainly Celery Wide Grosgrain Ribbon. The circle are Pumpkin Pie (which I've done by cutting two 'Scallop Punches' and joined them together then layered them with a scallop of Tempting Turquoise and a circle of Certainly Celery. The Flower is from the Boho Backgrounds stampset and I've stamped that twice onto Whisper White in Chocolate Chip Ink. The brad in the centre is a silver brad which I've dipped in VersaMark and White Embossing powder and set with my Heat Tool.

The sentiment I've done using whisper white and Chocolate Chip Ink and my Simple Serif Mini Alphabet set.
Here's a little close up of the flower for you.

Anyway, I hope you like it.

It's a pretty simple card this week, but I'm oh so tired and about to go and feed Ella and ship myself off to bed.

Hope you like the card and I'll be back soon with some more creations.

Colour Challenge #29

WOW!!! are you amazed... I sure am!!!! Two weeks in a row and I've managed to sit myself down and make a card for the wonderful Kristina's Colour Challenge.
I of course had the 'Beautiful Ella' assisting me, she sat ever so patiently watching me while I made this card... well ok, she actually slept for most of it, but she did approve of the final result!!! hahaha.

Sooo... here is this weeks inspiration and colours:-

The colours were Pacific Point (we don't have this colour here yet, so I used Ballet Blue instead), Taken with Teal, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White.
VERY BOLD colours and I must admit I was a little bit... well ok a BIG BIT scared of this one, but I was DETERMINED to get a card made. And here is what I came up with:-

Sooo, I've used Pumpkin Pie as my card base and then layered some Taken with Teal (well a colour similar to it!!!) and used my 'A Little Bit of Happiness (Level 1 Hostess ) stamp set.
I've coloured the image with Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant and Ballet Blue Pastels using my Blender pens. Then I added a tad of Pumpkin Pie Striped ribbon and popped both layers up on dimensionals, then I used my paper piercer to add a bit of dimension and a border around the image.
The words 'forever friends' is from the Level 1 Hostess Set 'So Many Sayings' and is stamped in Pumpkin Pie, then I added a little butterfly from the 'A Little Bit of Happiness' set too.

So there you have it.... 2 challenges in two weeks... something to celebrate...well for me at the moment anyway... hahaha.

Colour Challenge #28

Now... here's something worth celebrating... YEP I have managed to sit down, amidst the EXTREME lack of sleep (due of course to my BEAUTIFUL Ella!!) and actually participate in Kristina's Colour Challenge for this week... I'm VERY EXCITED!!!!

Here is the inspiration for this week:-
The colours are Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Sage Shadow and Whisper White.

And here is my card:-
I made this card with my 'Pick a Petal' stamp set, which I LOVE and I took my inspiration for the card from this one I'd made a while ago. (Oh and I've just realised that amongst all the excitement of actually sitting down and making a card that I have in fact used Rose Red instead of Ruby Red!!!! Oopps... Please forgive!!!)
Sooooo... the base of the card is Rose Red, with a layer of Sage Shadow and Whisper White. The Petals are stamped in Pumpkin Pie with an overlay of Rose Red and the sentiment is from the Curvy Verses Stamp set and is stamped in Sage Shadow.

This card actually has two purposes... not only is it for Kristina's Challenge but it's now going to be sent to my BEAUTIFUL Friend Leanne... well Just Because!!!!

Hope you like it.

Colour Challenge #24

Here is this weeks Colour Inspiration Challenge set by Kristina. I figured I'd best get in early with this one, given it could be a little while before I get the chance to sit down and make a card... with the arrival of Baby K#2 getting closer and closer...well pretty much any time now!!!! So I'll either have a little person to cuddle, which makes making cards a little bit tricky OR I'll be EXTREMELY sleep deprived... which would make for some very interesting card designs I think... hahaha. Anyway.. back on track, here is the inspiration picture for this week:-

The colours this week were Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss (I used Old Olive) and Very Vanilla.

And here is what I came up with:-

I've used Pumpkin Pie as the base of the card... (Sammy will be PROUD!!!!) and then used my corner rounder punch to make a scallop edge on one side, then I used some Old Olive DSP and scalloped that also before sticking down at the top of the card. I then cut a slit in the the side and used a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock as a band then tied a knot with some delicious Chocolate Chip Wide Grosgrain (just for something a little bit different really!!!) then I used my Oh So Lovely Stamp set (Hostess Level 1 set) to stamp the image on a Very Vanilla Circle in Old Olive ink and a flower from another Hostess Set (Cause for Celebration) which I attached with a Pewter Brad and popped up on a dimensional. The sentiment is from the So Many Sayings, yep you guessed it another Hostess Set, which I stamped in Chocolate Chip Ink onto some Pumpkin Pie Card stock.

Hope you like it.

Here is everything I used:-

Stamps:- Cause for Celebration (Level 2 Hostess Set), Oh So Lovely (Level 1 Hostess Set), So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess Set)

Live Your Dreams!!!!

I thought I'd have another take of Keesh's challenge for this week. The Challenge was to case the current cattie for a layout...well this time I actually used the layout we used at the Regionals we had last weekend and used the new stamp set 'Live Your Dreams' which we also received, and will be available in the Summer Mini Catalogue (so keep your eyes open for more details on that one!!!!)

Here is my card:-
This really is a simple layout, and when it's altogether looks gorgeous.
I actually made this for my mum to give to a friend of hers who is leaving Australia for Italy to have medical treatment this week. (I made a little pen holder and covered some pens and a notebook for her and a little Keyring ala Keesh!! too - I'll post those a bit later!!!). So I've used Old Olive Card stock as the base and stamped it with the butterfly from the Stamp set then used the large flower and stamped that in Old Olive for the stems and Soft Sky for the flowers, then I re-stamped the flowers and cut them out added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds ( I'm a little obsessed with Dazzling Diamonds at the moment.. hahaha) and popped them up on some dimensionals. I stamped the little butterfly above the flowers in Really Rust and the sentiment ' A Little Something' is from the Level 1 Hostess set 'So Many Sayings' which I've stamped in Sahara Sand. The top layer of the card is in Soft Sky Cardstock which I've pierced and faux stitched and the bottom layer is a piece of Fall Flowers DSP and a bit of Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon.

Hope you like it.

Here's everything I used:-

Stamps:- Live your Dreams, So Many Sayings (Level 1 Hostess)
Card:- Old Olive, Soft Sky, Confetti White, Fall Flowers DSP
Ink:- Old Olive, Soft Sky, Really Rust, Sahara Sand
Accessories:- Dimensionals, 2 way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon, Paper Piercing Mat/Needle, White Gel Pen.

Pink Boho!!!! With some BLING!!!!

Good Morning!!!!

I'm very proud of myself... I sat myself down last night and made a card for our online Demo's Weekly Challenge, which was set by the lovely Keesh!!! We had to use a layout from the Catty and come up with our own creation. I had heaps of fun making this card, so much so, that I didn't actually realise what the time was... it was indeed well after 11pm... so considering that, I'm even more proud of myself. It also helped to be sitting... helps ease the 'Heart Burn' that BabyK#2 is causing me at the moment!!! hahaha.

Anyway here is a photo of the card I came up with:-

The layout is from page 85 of the current cattie and I've used my Boho Backgrounds stampset to create this.
Being a PINK girl and possibly also due to the impending arrival of Baby K#2 who is also a little PINK person (phew!!) I decided to go with a PINK card... well I can't help myself!!!. Soooo... I've used Pretty in Pink as the base which I've stamped with the 'flowers' from Boho Backgrounds in Pretty in Pink Ink... the card layers are 'Barely Banana (I think), and Mellow Moss and I've added a strip of Regal Rose Ribbon...mmmmm!!!! Then I stamped the large flower/patter from the set in Regal Rose onto some Whisper White and punched out the centre flower then cut it out and dipped it into some Dazzling Diamonds (seems to be the theme for me lately... Pink and Dazzling!!!) then added a silver brad to the centre and popped it up on a dimensional in the centre. The sentiment ' Wonderful Friend' is also from the same stamp set which I've stamped in Regal Rose on some Pretty in Pink Card, roughed up the edges a bit and just adhered to the base. I might actually try and make another of these today MINUS any pink...maybe a BOY version.. now that is a challenge...well for me anyway!!! hahaha.

Have a great day, and hope you like my card.

Colour Challenge #23

Here is Kristina's Colour Challenge for this week. And I'm very proud of myself for actually sitting down and making a card for this weeks.... I missed out last week.

So here is our inspiration:-

The colours for this week are Bravo Burgundy, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Old Olive.

And here is what I came up with:-

Unfortunately I didn't have any Bravo Burgundy Card stock so I substituted it for some Cranberry Crist (retired). I've used the 'Live Your Dream' stamp set, which I've stamped in VersaMark and then coloured using my Stampin' Pastels in Bravo Burgundy, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron... the stems in Old Olive. The Butterfly is also stamped in Versamark and coloured in Bravo Burgundy (Pastels) and the 'Thankyou' sentiment is also from the same stamp set and is stamped in Chocolate Chip. I've torn some Old Olive Cardstock and 'Faux Stitched' it before attaching it to the top of the card and the bottom layer is some So Saffron DSP. Finished off with some Wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain.

Hope you like.
