Gina's Challenge

I haven't done a "Gina's Challenge" in a while but this one appealed to me for some reason. Gina not only gave us this sketch but she also stipulated that the colours to be used were Choc Chip/Whisper White/Close to Cocoa and Pretty in Pink. These colours are apparently the colour scheme of the new house that Gina is building- very elegant!

Well I know the photo didn't turn out that great but these are the colours I used. Trust me it looks better IRL !!The base card is Choc Chip and the "scallops" Close to Cocoa. The DSP panel is Afternoon Tea (retired) and the stamp set Oh So Lovely (also retired -Hostess) (Sorry I haven't got much new stuff yet ! )The pink if you can see it is behind the flower image and the sentiment. The sentiment is from a new stamp set-"Fresh Cuts" I could not quite manage the spots/pattern on the base card-I did try but I'm a "Clean and Simple" kind of stamper and it just looked too fussy for my liking! Oh ! and the ribbon is pretty in pink too...

Cybernight Challenges

On Sunday night I participated in my first "cybernight"! This is where you stamp with a group of other people but each of you are in your own homes and are connected via the internet to share your creations! The first card was for a "Spring Mini" challenge. Don't know whether you all know already but the items in this catalogue are only available until 30th November! This card is my "Scrap Card" - a good way of using up all those little bits of left over DSP. I have used the "Apple Cider " DSP for both the panels and the motif- not much stamping on this one! The pieces are mounted on Choc Chip and the sentiment(you can JUST see it in the bottom right hand corner) is Thanks SO Much from "So Many Sayings".
The next card was for a colour challenge that was posted- the colours to use were Handsome Hunter/Bravo Burgundy/Mellow Moss / Apricot Appeal- difficult colour combo I thought but I am fairly happy with the card that resulted. It is a sympathy card. I used my "Oh So Lovely" stamp set for the first time. The ribbon is Apricot Appeal, the ink is Handsome Hunter and the brads are from the "Vintage" collection
