Mandy's-"Change it up Tuesday"

Last night I was in a hurry to get Mel's challenge card posted before the cut off time - Today I had a bit of time to give it a bit of a makover by mounting the soft sky card front on a layer of Blue Bayou and adding the cute liitle corners from the offcuts of the carte postale stamp ( a trick I saw on a card bymelissahenchen on SCS) Also to make the same card in a different colour way, this time using very vanilla and purely pomegranate along with the Blue Bayou. I am entering this duo in Mandy's "Change it up Tuesday" blog feature. You can find it at

Keesha's Challenge/ Double Deal 2

Today I set out to make a card for Keesh's Challenge. The challenge was to CASE the card on page 85 of the "catty". There were several entries already posted but no-one had done a Christmas card so I decided to do that using what seems to be the "in" colours for Christmas this year- Purely Pomegranate/River Rock /Always Artichoke. But 2 cards evolved from my stamping- one elegant and traditional and the other with a more contemporary feel! So I have decided to make this another entry for my "Double Deals" blog feature ! This time the colours and layout are exactly the same- only the stamp set has changed to give 2 very different styles of card!( Seasons of Joy for #1 and Baroque motifs/Mostly flowers for #2) Which one do you prefer? "Double Deals"

Last night I visited the amazing blog of a stamper in New Zealand. Her name is Sarah Gough. On her site she had a feature called "One card: Two ways " where she showed how a card could be completely changed by using the same layout but different stamps and/or colours. Check out her blog- there are some beautiful cards there....

Anyway, I thought that seeing as I also like doing that I would introduce that feature to my blog too. I will call mine... "Double Deals"... Here is my first example.....
This is my "Spring Wishin' card in two different versions-( You may have seen the Groovy Guava one before on my blog) But you would not have seen the other one using (almost) exactly the same layout but with a far more elegant feel. It uses the Mostly Flowers stamp set too but with a change of colours to Black,River Rock and Whisper White it is a different card entirely. The ribbon on the Guava which holds on the tag has also been changed to a black brad. Which do you prefer?? Vote by leaving a message!!
