at long last...

Good morning everyone and yes I finally made it...well the internet started working ok about 8ish last night but I think it wasn't a good idea posting at that time so you will have to wait a bit longer for the holiday photos...are you gutted?, yeah right lol...well my MRI scan was 100% worse than I thought it would be, considering I feel uncomfortable in a lift I should have maybe ticked the box on the safety form that said 'do you suffer from claustrophobia' but I don't really I just don't like closed spaces or is that the same thing do you think...I am shall we say a bit ample on the chest department and when I lie down its the part of me that is the highest so they were touching the top of the machine and as soon as I got inside my breathing went funny but with the help of some advice from the nurse I controlled it and managed the 30 minuets inside without screaming my head off, which could easily of happened, mind I was shaking like a leaf when I got out, I could hardly hold the water they gave me, that really isn't made for people of my proportions lol...I really wouldn't want to do that anymore than once in my life thank you very much...Phil's face when I walked out was priceless though lol, he took one look at me and said 'omg are you ok'...I'm fine though and its over so just have to wait for the results now...I will report back...right now onto my card for today which is for our new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts monthly challenge...this month was our lovely Tracy's choice and she chose Something Blue...I chose to use this stunning Whiff Of Joy Girls Rule (A480) stamp for my card..she has the most amazing hair and its a joy to colour...I used my usual distress inks for colouring and teamed her up with this stunning double sided Magnolia Blue Vintage Hydrangea 12" x 12" Paper...lush isn't it and perfect for the challenge...I added a fab bow made from some Organza Ribbon - White (25mm Wide) and some beautiful swirls from the Prima Say It In Crystals Mini Swirls - Divine set...everything I used today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from the Sweet Stop Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Sweet Stampin' Challenge and the Paper Creator's Challenge too...I'm going to have a relaxing crafting day today and catch up on our holiday washing I think, well I cant avoid it forever can I...whatever your up to today have fun and if you get a chance pop on over to the Bunny Zoe's Crafts blog and take a peek at the rest of our fab teams makes...oh and btw we will be starting a new Guest DT call on Wednesday so I hope you will all go for it...bye for now

Good morning everyone are you enjoying sun or showers?...well I got my appointment with the surgeon but isn't it sods law that the first appointment I was given was 2nd July and I have just booked the hotel and Phil booked his time off for going away lol...I got a letter to ring for an appointment and the lovely receptionist and yes she really was nice, friendly and helpful said 2nd July...oops says I, cant do the 2nd we will be away then, ok she says 4th July...oops cant do that either...ok she says how about the 9th...brilliant we have a winner lol, they are like buses you wait ages for one then loads come along at once...so I'm seeing the surgeon on the 9th July, I'm going to talk to him to see if I have to have surgery or if there's something else that can be done instead, surgery is just very final isn't it and if there are any side effects from it are bad then I would rather try some other things first...but I will see what he has to say first before I decide...right now onto my card for today...how stunning is the hair on this fantastic Whiff Of Joy Girls Rule stamp...she is amazing to colour with my distress inks, I have a thing for red hair (Phil had hair this colour when we first met) so she had to have red hair especially with these beautiful papers from the Kaisercraft - Miss Empire 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad, the tag under the bow is from the same pad too...I added a bow made from beautiful Organza Ribbon - Orange (25mm Wide) and finished with a lush rose from the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms - Sage (10pcs) pack...everything I used on my card today is from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the fab sketch is from the Sweet Stop Challenge and I'm also entering it for the Party Time Tuesdays Challenge and the Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT Challenge too...I'm heading out today, well that's the plan anyway...I would like a new skirt to go with a top Phil bought me a while back for our break away so wish me luck finding one...its always the same isn't it, when your looking for something in particular you can never find it...sods law strikes again lol...whatever your up to today I hope you manage to get out and about and have some fun

shades...

Good morning everyone...wow can you believe its September already...whoosh the time is just flying by and its only 18 days until we are off on our holidays too, it seems ages ago we booked it but it was only a couple of weeks really, my judgement of time seems to have disappeared totally lol...do you think women see shades of colours differently or is it just we crafters?...I put the first coat of olive green on the bathroom wall and set about painting all the woodwork and boy is there loads of it as there is wood panelling half way up the bathroom walls, its was coloured a deep cream and I wanted it a little lighter and less yellowy so chose a colour called Almond White...so I spent ages patiently painting the grooves and using a roller for the flat parts, Phil came in from work and into the bathroom...first words that green needs another coat and I thought you were doing the paintwork????...now I know there wasn't a vast difference in the colour for the wood but considering I only had it half done I could see where I had started and finished but he really honestly couldn't tell the difference...then he says is there anything for dinner...my answer whatever your buying from the chinese...that will teach not to be able to tell different shades bless him lol...right now onto my card for today, isn't this new Whiff of Joy stamp so so cute and girlie...its called Tea Party, I remember sitting having little tea parties with our Daughter but of course real milk (no tea of course) and teeny cut sandwiches and mini cakes...I coloured this cutie stamp with distress inks and the beautiful papers are from the Kaisercraft - The Lake House 6.5"x6.5" Paper Pad, this really is a stunning pad and the sentiment tag is from the same pad too, I stamped it with a sentiment from my stash...I finished with some beautifully perfect Blossoms - Resin Flower Bluebell flowers...everything I used on my card are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...the lush sketch is from the Sketch N Stash challenge and Im also entering it for the Paper Crafting Journey Anything Goes challenge and the Fat Pages and Cards with Attitude challenge...I'm doing no diy, decorating or anything like it today instead I'm off to buy some new nail varnish and maybe even something girlie for our holiday, I need a little time away from it I think...whatever your up to today have a fantastic relaxing one

Good morning everyone do you have anything wonderful planned for your weekend?...go on let us all know so we can be jealous...Phil's away at the racing so I'm having a lovely relaxed crafting couple of days as hes camping overnight and wont be back until late tonight...then a chinese I think when he gets home as we are never quiet sure what time it will be...you will be happy to know Sumo cat is fine, seems she must have just bumped herself and shes much better thank goodness...I was dreading what the vet would say so a huge sigh of relief from all of us, I know it will happen eventually but our beautiful Daughter has had her since she was very young and I'm dreading it as she will be devastated...she didn't find anything she wanted to have a go at in the craft shop, in fact after five minuets she was saying she was bored lol...oh well it was worth a try wasn't it...right now onto my card for today...seriously know does Moo from Mo's Digital Pencil look like she needs telling to relax lol...after I finished colouring her with distress inks I stared at her for a while thinking what is wrong with my colouring, I knew there was something wrong but couldn't quick pick it up...it isn't until now I have realised I have coloured her udders white instead of pink...well duh how daft is that lol...Cows are definitely my favourite animals, its their chilled, laid back attitude I think, they never seem in a hurry...I teamed her up with these lush papers from a Whiff of Joy paper pad I bought ages and ages ago from Bunny Zoe's Crafts...I finished with a couple of strips of yellow ribbon and some butterflies cut from the papers...I'm entering this for the Craft your Passion Challenge, Charisma Cardz Challenge and The Paper Shelter Challenge too...I'm off to do a little more crafting before I decide if I'm heading out today...whatever your doing today exciting or relaxing I hope its a good one

return of the glitter...

Good morning everyone, do you have anything fantastic planned for this weekend?, I don't think we will be doing very much at all really, but then you never know do you...when my lovely Phil came home last night after we had eaten he was gone for ages and I could hear him pottering about in the kitchen, then slowly this wonderful smell started to tweak at my nose, he had been baking and made pasties and pies and they smelt incredible, it was all I could do to stop myself having one then and there, only the thought of the molten lava insides and what it would do to my tongue stopped me, I did manage a little nibble or two when they had cooled though of course...he is the best baker ever, his pies are to die for...everyone loves them to the extent he made two huge ham and egg pies last Saturday and by Sunday morning they were both gone...I didn't eat them all honestly although if I put my mind to it I probably could....right now onto my card for today and before I tell you about, I'm having a real problem posting my images, is anyone else having problems?...I can get them posted but when I try to enlarge them they go all blurred, I have tried saving them in different ways etc and they look great on my computer, its only when I upload them it happens...its driving me crackers

right now card Mina...ok...how fantastically beautiful is Winter Fairy Talva (look at those cute toes) from Mo's Digital Pencil, she like every other Mo's image is a dream to colour...I used distress inks and of course loads and loads of glitter...the fabulous papers which I think are a perfect match for her don't you are from Whiff of Joys 6x6 paper pad Frühlingserwachen from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I used a few punched snowflakes and a huge organza ribbon bow to finish, I love that ribbon its lush, I so wish I could remember where I had got it from...the lush sketch is from Inspirational card sketches challenge (sketch 126) and I'm also entering it for the Stampalot monochrome challenge and the Do You stack up challenge...right I'm off to have a pastie lol...whatever you get up to today I hope its a brilliant one

anyone want a cookie...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well and happy and if you celebrated Thanksgiving I hope you had a wonderful family time...my Dad has been telling us over the last few months how disappointed he is that you cant buy a really traditional Dundee cake, he thinks the ones you buy in the shops don't taste like the real ones, so when Phil came home yesterday, off he went to the shops, bought all the ingredients and set about making him one, Phil is an excellent cook and he bakes the lushest cakes, so he made it last night and popped it into the oven and we forgot about it and yes you guessed it, it burnt...he was gutted as the inside tastes amazing...so he will have to get more while we are out shopping today and make another...poor lad worked so hard on it too, it even had the almonds on the top all arranged beautifully...oh well if at first and all that...we are off shopping for the day today and I'm so looking forward to it as shopping with Phil is so laid back, we just stroll round get what we need and stop for lunch and afternoon coffee and cake too...the most chilled shopping trips ever, we are then going to the light switching on ceremony in our local town this evening...right now onto my card for today which is using this stunning little sweetie from Whiff of Joy called Christmas Pastries plus two sentiments, isn't she so gorgeous, I coloured her with distress inks and paper pieced her dress and bow with papers from the same pad as the background...they are all from the stunning new Echo Park Holly Jolly Christmas 6x6 paper pad, this pad is so gorgeous, the colours are perfect for a fresh modern Christmas feel, but there's also ones (like the song one I used here) that have a real retro old fashioned feel to them too...I wish I had got a brighter picture as the colours are beautiful, the stamp and pad are from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and don't forget they are all 10% off for Nikki's Black Friday special sale...I finished with some fab blue satin ribbon from the Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and a scattering of buttons...the fab sketch is from the Stamp with Fun challenge and I'm also entering it for the Dutch Dare card challenge...I'm off to get ready for our day out now as I cant go without the polyfilla on the face can I lol, whatever your up to today I hope you have a brilliant one

suffering withdrawal symptoms...

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a fantastic weekend...I'm seriously suffering from withdrawal symptoms from lack of blogging now and I had to stay up until 1am to get this posted, I'm missing my nightly blog hopping and its driving me nuts...if it isn't sorted out soon heads will roll...and it wont be mine lol...well Sunday here was so so quiet, the only thing we did was go to our local pound store and bought loads of cleaning stuff, I think I get this from my Mum, she was obsessive about things like having loads of toilet roll and kitchen roll and if she saw a bargain in them or cleaning things she would buy at least 6...she always said when I asked her why she did it it was 'just in case'...I never did find out when the just in case time was, but if the nuclear winter ever hit we were sorted for cleaning lol, I still miss my Mum's wicked sense of humour...right now my card for today is for the Bunny Zoe's Crafts DT...now how sweet are these two on their swing together...they are from the newest Whiff of Joy collection and are called Friends forever Nora & Ben, I coloured them with distress inks and used some of these amazingly coloured papers from the new Bo Bunny 6x6 paper pad called Vicki B, lush lush designs aren't they, I finished with a ribbon, some pearls and a gorgeous Prima flower...the fab sketch is from The Sweet Stop challenge and I'm also entering these for the Fairy Tale and Stamp with fun challenges...if I remember I'm going to charge my camera up fully today to take with me for piccys of the house to show you all (one of you remind me on Tuesday or Wednesday please as I'm going down on Thursday), I hope you dont all have this picture in your head of a chocolate box cottage because its not that at all...and I'm hopefully going to get some crafting done today fingers crossed...whatever your up to today have a brilliant one

arent suprises wonderful...

Good morning everyone, did you all have a fabulous weekend?...well did you all like my candy?...its a goodie isn't it, I was quite chuffed with it even if I say so myself...well on Saturday my wonderful Phil asked where I fancied going, I shrugged and said anywhere you want, so we got in the car and he drove to a wonderful stately gardens near to where we live and pulled into the car park, I'm sitting there thinking...ok so what now???...he got out and into the boot and brought out a wonderful picnic with tapas and dessert and drinks and he even brought forks, knives and napkins, he must have got up really early to prepare it as I was up at 9.30 and with him all night before...we had a wonderful meal and then walked around the gardens and grounds then afternoon tea in the gardens, it was wonderful...now I love my Phil to bits but he isn't romantic or spontaneous at all and never has been, which I didn't mind as you know when you have a good un don't you so that meant so so much to me than just an afternoon out...how lucky am I...we then went into town and found a shop that does house clearances and had a mooch around, I found a fab dressing table and a sorta sideboard thingy, all mucky and needs work but at £40 for the two now you cant say no can you lol, then we met up with our Daughter and her other half and arranged to go shopping on Sunday...so you could say we had a fantastic weekend I think...right that's quite enough waffling so onto my card which is for the TeddyBo Challenge which is to make a shaped card, I used this amazing Teddybea called Daisy Chain isn't she so pretty, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these amazing papers from the 6x6 Bo Bunny paper pad called Gabrielle from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, I even cut the butterflies from the same pad...aren't they just lush papers, the sentiment I think is from Whiff of Joy...I'm also entering this into the Creative Inspirations Cute Bears challenge and the Crafty Calendar Things with Wings monthly challenge too...right I have taken up enough of your time so I wish you all a wonderful day and don't forget if you haven't entered my candy yet its just below this

p.s. in case your wondering how the top butterfly is floating above Bea's head I stuck it onto a little strip of acetate and stuck it behind the image

Did you wonder where this had gone to??? - Colour Create challenge - Liz' choice Pink, Blue and Brown

Good morning everyone do you have anything exciting planned for this Easter weekend...Phil's away at the motorbikes marshaling again this weekend so I don't think I will be up to much, it was fantastic to spend the afternoon with my Dad yesterday he looks so well and has a bit of a tan too even though he was only in England, hes a real sun worshiper though just a hint of sun and hes out in the garden, he had a fab time but while he was away in Belfast before he flew to England he was at a restaurant with my Sister and someone reversed into the side of his new car...but at least she was very polite and even waited until they came out of the restaurant to tell them so she didn't spoil their meal, but its all going to be sorted out by the insurance companies and it could have been a lot worse at least no one was hurt, but my Dad had a few moans anyway...right onto my card for today, did anyone wonder where this had gone too...well because of the blog hop I had to keep it until today to show you...this is for our new challenge at Colour Create challenge, this time is the wonderful Liz's choice and she chose Blue, Pink and Brown

this is a fab choice isn't it and the added option is to either use the cracked glass method or acetate on your card...I used acetate, I bought this sheet of Kanban glittered acetate last year at the NEC, the gorgeous cutie image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and called Alice Jumping Rope, look at look on her little face...I coloured her with distress inks, the lush blue papers are from the Whiff of Joy 6x6 paper pad from Bunny Zoe's crafts, I finished with some fantastically drool worthy chocolate coloured satin and a couple of blue and pink offcuts of ribbon, the sketch I made up as I went along and I'm entering this for the Totally Gorjuss Bling it on challenge and the Cute Card Thursday No Text challenge too...with Phil away I think I will have a mooch round town and see what goodies I can pick up, you never know do you...whatever your up to have a fantastic day everyone

Good morning everyone...you know what happens when you get over excited about something and go around doing your happy dance to the Black Eyed Peas, your internet fairy does a bunk...I didn't have any internet all evening and night until this morning and that's why I didn't do any blog hopping last night...I think my little fairy had enough of the cold and flitted off to sunnier climes or I offended her with my bad singing and dancing, its really not a sight you wanna see and it even made my ever patient husband twist his face a couple of times bless him...thank you everyone who has voted for me in the Sugar Nellie competition although some of you judging by my emails cant see your votes or are having trouble but I'm sure it will be sorted out...right now onto my card today which is using the fab sketch from Whiff of Joy challenge and this cutie Henry Mouse holding Christmas Wreath from Whiff of Joy, I teamed him up with some more of these lush papers from Making Memories Noel paper pack, I'm so glad I bought this pack, I used some more fantastic Prima Lace from Bunny Zoe's Crafts and finished with a couple of Prima leaves and red buttons for berries, I'm also entering this for the Allsorts Free and Easy and CES Anything Goes challenges too...have a fabulous day everyone and all being well I will be blog hopping and leaving comments tonight so speak then

A bit of glitter and lace - Whiff of Joy challenge Sketch + Oldie but a Goodie-Glitter

Good morning everyone, wow how cold is it I think I have frost bite in my extremities...bbbbbrrrrrrr....I was having a rummage through my stamps and realised how many neglected ones I have and thought I really should start reusing them if I can so this Winter 2009 stamp got an airing this time, I was one of those kids that had to have every toy in bed with me in case they got lonely or felt left out, my Mum used to come in to my room and couldn't see me for toys lol, she said there was a few times she had to have a rummage just in case, but these stamps have been out of sight thank goodness or there would be a card every week with dozens of stamps on...there's a fairly new challenge which encourages you to use your stamps that are at least six months old called Oldie but a Goodie and their challenge this week is Glitter so Im entering this card for it, its also using the Whiff of Joy challenge sketch too...the paper is from the Basicgrey Figgy Pudding range and how amazing is that glittery ribbon, I bought it at the NEC just couldn't resist that lush chocolate glittery stuff, the photo really doesn't do it justice...I also used some fabulously thick latte coloured lace and a few glittery snowflakes to finish...I'm off back to my Dads today to hopefully finish the decorating, hes chuffed to bits with it but I have this sneaky feeling that last time he was having a look round to see which room I could do next lol...have a fantastic day everyone and keep your bits nice and warm

Good morning everyone, yes I went to Ikea and yes I bought loads...isn't it weird that you can find so many things you didn't know you needed in Ikea lol, did you all have a fantastic day I hope so...I bought two new wardrobes for the spare room and picked some amazing bedroom furniture for our bedroom but Phil wouldn't stretch that far, then we went to the Papermill where I discovered their paper boxes have reduced in price and you now get a huge twice the size box for less money than the small one used to be, couldn't find anything else I wanted there except a glittery chipboard alphabet, cant resist a bit of sparkle lol..then we went to the Gaggia coffee shop and had a mooch to see if we could get some different coffee for our beloved bright yellow Gaggia machine and of course had a cup of coffee...anyway enough babbling Mina my card for today is for the fab sketch by Jane over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge, isn't this little fella sssssooooooo cute, I just want to pick him up and give him a hug in his little romper suit don't you, the stamps called Sammy with Licorice (of course when I bought him a couple more fell into the basket, does that happen to you too)...I coloured him with Distress inks, I enjoyed colouring him so much I even coloured the hats on the snowmen on his suit, I used paper and embellishments (the holly, berries and tag) from the My Minds Eye Holly Jolly paper and Accessory pack from Bunny Zoe's, lush pack this, I'm so pleased I bought it...I finished my card with a red gingham ribbon and bow, Im also entering this for the Holidays challenge at City Crafter challenge, I hope you like it and dont forget to join in with my Bunny Zoe Crafts candy if you havent already...have a great Sunday everyone
