Dad, You're My Hero

I decided that I will make several Father's Day cards this year and let my boys go card "shopping" and pick out the card that they would each like to give their daddy for Father's Day. Whatever doesn't make the cut will end up in my etsy shop ;)

Here is a card using PTI's Boy Basics: Rock On , Grunge Me and Alpha-Blocks .

Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Boy Basics: Rock On, Grunge Me, Alpha-Blocks
Ink: Palette Chartreuse, Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark, Palette Charcoal
Paper: Smokey Shadow, Soft Stone, Coasterboard
Dies: Guitar, Alpha-Blocks
Other: Copic Markers, Pop Dots

It's Keva's Blogaversary!

My friend Keva at Hownowbrownkow is celebrating her blogaversary! Keva is giving away a very generous gift certificate to Papertrey Ink or Verve! Can you believe it? Keva asked that her followers recreate on of her cards. While mine isn't exactly identical, it is based on her Bottles & Booties card.

I used Papertrey Ink's Boy Basics: Frog Hop. This little guy is just so fun! And I just love his little fly friend :) This card is for my son, Logan, for his birthday next month. His favorite color is green, and the frog is perfect for that color! ;)

Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Boy Basics: Frog Hop, Button Boutique
Paper: Spring Moss, Rustic Cream, Distressed Dots PP
Dies: Frog, Button Card
Other: Rustic Jute Twine, Ripe Avocado Button, Copic Markers, corner rounder

Papertey Ink April Blog Hop!

It's that time again! Time for the Papertey Ink monthly blog hop.

This month's blog hop is dedicated to all the boys and men in our lives! Now's your chance to create Father's Day projects, boy birthday cards and more to build up your stash! Focus on masculine color schemes, fresh pattern combinations, understated embellishments and unique uses of images you may already have in your stash!

I chose to make an I Love You card for my dear sweet husband. I used PTI's new Boy Basics: Out Of This World stamp set. While this is sort of a sappy card, it's still for a man, and is done in a manly color scheme, so I think it qualifies :)

Supplies (all PTI unless noted):
Stamps: Boy Basics: Out of this World, Dot Spot, Tiny Treat: Valentine, Little Bitty Bird
Paper: Pure Poppy, Soft Stone
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Other: Rocket Die, Sakura Stardust Pen, Pop Dots, Copic Markers
