CR84FN #58 - Wk 2

 Morning, I'm back for week 2 of CR84FN's bright sunny colour challenge!
The gallery looks so pretty over at the challenge blog, there are some wonderful entries!

I have used a Saturated Canary Image, called Ratatouille. Isn't she just gorgeous! It took me a looong time to colour, as i was unsure at first woth all the different layers and folds in her clothing. Also, my paper was bleeding quite a lot, (I won't be buying that brand again!) which made it difficult with the reds. So, there are a few leaky edges, but I spent so much time on her, I couldn't bear to throw her out!

I coloured her with a mixture of Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and I finished off the edges with a dark brown and deep purple pencil, as I couldn't get the shading without the card bleeding! And pencil over promarkers works fine, but I'm not sure if it was the other way round!

I mounted her onto a new Spellbinders Floral Frame which I bought for myself last week at the Newbury Artstamps expo. I got a couple of other items too, but i was very good and didn't spend too much, 'ahem!' I stamped a little floral pattern on the frame behind her using Printed Petals stamps from stampin' Up!, in Antique Linen ink.

The polka dot background is from Kanban, and the patterned yellow piece is a bit of off cut from my card last week, by Cosmo Cricket. Finally I added some yellow gingham ribbon and some co-ordinating roses and a couple of PTI Tiny Tags.
