Hi all, it's been a while since I have blogged or created due to the building work going on in our house!! I shan't bore you with it, but all my crafy stuff is packed away for the for-seeable future, and has been for a month now. I am missing my crafting and blogging. I almost forgot how to make a post lol!
I've also been grappling with technology - still an uphill struggle for me, but I just want to be able to watermark my stuff without any fuss. I want it to be easy peasy. And it's not. So, I have watermarked my creation today, but I haven't been able to re-size or edit my pictures apart from the watermark which I applied using Picasa.
Fed up with it as it took me ages to figure out, and I can only do it on hubby's computer so he's fed up with me as he wants to watch something on his playback or something grrrrr.
Anyway, I got some lovely new images from Mo Manning this morning, and I just had to colour one of them in. She is called Peaches and is just gorgeous. I hunted about for my craft stuff which is all in several nooks and crannies and made this:
See that watermark?? I worked hard on that lol! I have coloured her in for the challenge over at Mo's Challenge Blog, which is to use Turquoise. One of my favourite colours.
I teamed her with some Wild Rose Studios papers, and some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. I have also layere some turquoise lace under the doily, which was a gift from my friend Sue.
This is the reason for my blogging absence:
New kitchen, a work in progress...
New conservatory off the dining room, this is where I normally craft!
And this is where I made my card today! Yes, that is a glass of wine!!
Well, that's all from me this evening, I don't want to push my luck LOL!
Thanks for stopping by,
Pauline

Sketch Saturday: All the Flowers of Tomorrow..
Hi, hope everyone is having a great weekend. Today I have something new! This is my card for Sketch Saturday. week 92, and it's the first challenge that I have attempted.
I have used a new stamp from Mo Manning, and coloured the image with Promarkers. All new to me, but I am pleased with the outcome! Not sure about the grass though....
I love this little girl, she reminds me of my eldest daughter, dreamy and free spirited, well that's how she appears to me!
All the patterned paper is from a stack I bought last week, from a company called Wild Rose Studio. I have used the doily design a rose bud design, and a pink striped design from this pack, which also contains some great cake and teapot themes too. They also design some lovely clear stamps, and I bought one of those too, will make a card with it in the next few days.
Lots of layering on this card, but I think it works. The sentiment is one from the Earthangel set by WMS, " All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today" ; I just thought it matched the image and roses perfectly.
Inside I have used a couple of strips of paper which I've used on the front, but got kind of obscured; it's so pretty I had to use some more! Edged them with Martha Stewart lace doily punch. Sentiment inside the card is from Earthangel again, with the little 'xo' underneath from Say it With Style stamp set from WMS.
As I like a bit of bling, I gave her a little sparkly rhinestone necklace, and used a couple of gems on the bees. Added some pink stickles to the roses, and finally used some more pink rhinestones on the sentiment.
Thanks for looking, and have a great Sunday
