Another Nesties Card

I made this card using my Nesties for the frame. I embossed it with a Cuttlebug die. The label is also a Spellbinder's die. The stamps are Studio G.

Christmas Album

This is an album I made using my Nestabilities for the shape of the book. I used the Mega label dies in the largest size. I punches the paper, then the chipboard shape. The Nestabilities went through thin chipboard quite easily. You really on need thin chipboard for this project as you cover both sides with patterned paper making your pages quite substantial. The paper for this project is a pad from My Minds Eye for Christmas. The punches are from Punch Bunch. The stamps are Studio G. I was able to curve the clear tis the season stamp on my acrylic block to mimic the shape on the paper. I used a Bind it All to bind the book.

Star Ornament

Here is a star ornament I made using the Making Memories Slice. The directions are available on You Tube by Jennifer Mcguire. This was really simple to make with the Slice.

My New Slice

Well of course I had to jump on the bandwagon and buy a new Slice by Making Memories. I couldn't resist buying it at AC Moore. It is a great little portable die cutting machine. So far I say it is a great tool. My only issue is that some of the cuts are not as straight as I would like. I contacted MM and they said they are aware of the issues.

Here are a few cards I made using the Slice. All of the cut outs except the snowflakes were made with the Slice.

Batik Christmas Card

This is a Holiday card I made using the Castaway Ink pad by Jaquard. It created this wonderful Batik look. Cardstock is DCDW. It works great for the Red and Green challenge at Created by Hand.

Die Cut Dove

This is a card I made using a Sizzix die for the bird, a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the red backing and the card is stamped with an OI stamp. I mottled the card with Distress Inks by Ranger.

Outline Christmas

I just love Outlines stamps. Here is an ornament and a card I made using stamps by Outlines. The directions for the ornament is on the Outlines site. Both of these projects use a ton of embossing powder.

A Drive By Card Lift

I was at this wonderful blog The Shamrock Stamper last week and saw a lovely card that I decided to copy. I made some changes and added lots of glitz(which does not show in this photo).

I used my Nestabilities for all the layers. The stamps are Inkadinkadoo and Studio G. The snowflakes are by Punch Bunch.

Hanukkah Card

For some reason I just can't get motivated to make my Hanukkah cards this year. I think one reason is there are so few exciting Hanukkah stamps. I got the new set of Papertrey Hanukkah stamps. They are very traditional. I do like them but for some reason I am not inspired. This is one card I made using these beautiful stamps.

Christmas Tag

This is a tag I made for the Created by Hand challenge Chistmas Tag. I have also included the image I used for you to download.

A Cuttlebug Christmas Wreath

Here is an easy Christmas card I put together. I used a scalloped circle to make this wreath card. I punched the scallop circle, then I punched a circle slightly off center. I then used a cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss it. The background is another Cuttlebug folder.

Michaela's House Ornament

This is an ornament made from paper that my 7 year old daughter made. We got the pattern off theMeridith(Better Housekeeping) website. She dripped liquid applique on it to make it look like snow. We made the tree with the Martha Stewart branch punch.

Snowman Jar

I got this idea from this month's Cloth Paper Scissor's Magazine. I made this for Mixed Media Monday. For the head I used a Styrofoam ball. The eyes and face are black brads. The nose is copper foil. I covered the ball in white glue and them sprinkled Mica Snow Glitter from Martha Stewart on it. Inside the jar are some antique buttons and pearls. I used antique lace to accent the jar and some ribbon from AC Moore. The hat is a top from a Prima Flower jar and the hearts and balls are stick pins from Heidi Grace.

New Christmas Card

I found the star on this card at Michael's. The paper is from a stack by MME and the stamps are Walmart.

I made the dots on the brad with a white gel pen by Inkessentials.

New Tim Holtz Stickles

So of course I had to try the new Tim Holtz Stickles. It is more like glass glitter and gives your projects a unique look. My only disappointment was that there isn't as much of the glass glitter pieces as I would like in the glue. I made this card using three colors of Stickles; Fired Brick,Antique Linen and Peeled Paint. I stamped the image with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I then added the stickles. The stamps are Just for Fun and Studio G.

Christmas Stamps from Walmart

So everyone at Splitcoast Stampers has been talking about these clear stamps at Walmart. Of course I had to go check them out. Which is always a bad thing. I went and purchased three sets of the Christmas clear stamps but that wasn't all. I ended up buying 3 movies from the 5 dollar bin and three Nintentdo DS games that were on sale. Walmart and Target are like money pits. I ended up buying all the things I did not know I needed.

Anyway, I made this card using several of the sets of stamps. It worked wonderfully for the theme at Wednesday Stamper this week Angel. The stamps do stamp extremely well. I used Versafine ink. There is lots of glitter on this card but it did not show up on the scan.

Another border punch card

For those of you who follow my blog you know I am the Queen of Border punches. I just love what you can do with these punches. This is another card I made using two Martha Stewart border punches. The background was done with the Cuttlebug. The bird stamp is from Memory Box and the Warm Winter Wishes is from a Studio G dollar set. I curved the letters by taking the acrylic stamp and curving it on my block. A technique I still need to work on as you can see. The scalloped background for the stamp is a Nestabilities and the leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.

Here are two More Martha Stewart Border Cards

It is finally sunny, so I was able to take some pictures and update some of the cloudy ones below. Here are two more cards I made using the new Martha Stewart border punches. The snowman was made using the new snowflake border punch and the cupid was made using the double scallop border punch. The background on the cupid was made with a Fiskars plate in my Cuttlebug.
