Mixed Media Monday - Time

The theme at Mixed Media this week is Time. This is a card that I find so true. My time is now. I try never to put things off as time seems to slip away when I live my life that way. The stamps are Stamper's Anonymous and Invoke.

Hero - Clara Barton

My daughter did a report on Clara Barton the founder of the American Red Cross last year and ever since I have been in awe of her. She was quite a woman in a time when woman had very few rights. This is a mixed media collage on canvas. I have used antique buttons and lace.

The theme at Mixed Media Monday is What I Loved Doing in 2008. I loved making new friends who enjoy collage art as much as I. This is a mixed media piece I made using stamping, ink, grungeboard and lots of ephemera.

Snowman Jar

I got this idea from this month's Cloth Paper Scissor's Magazine. I made this for Mixed Media Monday. For the head I used a Styrofoam ball. The eyes and face are black brads. The nose is copper foil. I covered the ball in white glue and them sprinkled Mica Snow Glitter from Martha Stewart on it. Inside the jar are some antique buttons and pearls. I used antique lace to accent the jar and some ribbon from AC Moore. The hat is a top from a Prima Flower jar and the hearts and balls are stick pins from Heidi Grace.

Lock and Key

The theme at Mixed Media Monday is Lock and Key this week. This card uses several stamps from Stamper's Anonymous. The key is an antique. The keyhole is from Skybluepink. I used Adirondack Inks by Ranger to stamp my images.

Number Girl

So this is another set of pages in my house book. I made these for the Mixed Media Monday challenge numbers. The background is painted with Tim Holtz distress paints. They dry quickly and make little cracks. The stamps are Cloud 9, Character Constructions, Memory Box and Sugar Lumps. The images are from my Saturday Image Bonus.

My Dad

The theme at Mixed Media Monday this week is Generations. This is a collage I made of my dad. He is the patriarch of our family. He has 8 grandchildren. Hard to believe that from this small child will come many generations of our family.

Purple Monochromatic Collage

OK so I picked the hardest color for me Purple. I don't have a lot of purple embellishments so this was a hard collage to make for the Mixed Media Monday challenge Monochromatic. The inks are Adirondack and the stamps are Stamper's Anonymous.

Sailor Boy

By the Sea is the theme for Mix Media Monday this week. The hardware is Stamping Up and the Stamp is Stamper's Anonymous I believe. The poem on the side is Row, row your boat.
