All Steamed Up...January Release Day at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Welcome to the January release day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! We’re celebrating with a krafty hop, so get comfy and enjoy some inspiration provided by the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests. 

Over the last few days in the Krafty Peeks, you have seen the new stamp sets from all of our artists. We’ve got an elegant new sentiment set from Becky Pierce called WORDS OF INSPIRATION, a cute new kids set from Cheryl called IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY, a new steampunk stamp set from Annie called ALL STEAMED UP, and we are thrilled to introduce Emilie Goulet to you with her gorgeous new set, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

My card features one of Annie's new All Steamed Up characters. I really love this stylin' steampunk guy! I stamped him in Memento Desert Sand ink and coloured  him with Copics. This paper is no longer in stock, but check out the fantastic selection of paper pads in the KKS Shop HERE. All paper edges were distressed and sponged with black ink. The clock is a chipboard piece I received from Krafty Girl Jenny (thanks!!)...I've been saving it for just the right card. I felt it was a perfect fit for this stamp, especially when paired with this sentiment which is included in the stamp set. I used silver acrylic paint on the clock and then sponged it with black ink to give it a more aged look. I really would have loved to add some gears to this card, but unfortunately did not have any in my krafty stash. I must fix that problem! I settled for a few silver pearls to finish it off.

Words of Inspiration...a Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peek!

Welcome to day FOUR of the JANUARY Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!

Today we are thrilled to share the newest set of elegant sentiments by artist BECKY PEARCE! This set features some thoughtful quotes in beautiful fonts and is called WORDS OF INSPIRATION! This set includes nine lovely sentiments.

This week our challenge hostess is JENNY, and her challenge is ANYTHING GOES (as it always is during release week). So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with any stamp but if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp you'll double your chances to WIN! Use any sketch, any design, any embellishments because Anything Goes! We'd LOVE to see your KKS designs, so please play along for your chance to WIN a $10 Gift Certificate to use on ANYTHING you want in the shop!

Here's my card featuring one of the gorgeous sentiments from Words of Inspiration. The fonts on these sentiments are beautiful and so versatile. They can be used as the focal point of a project, in combination with an image, as the finishing touch on the inside of a card, on scrapbook pages, journal pages, tags...so many possibilities! I used this sentiment as a focal point on my card. The papers from Wild Rose Studios...make sure to check out the in stock papers at the KKS shop HERE. All paper edges were distressed with scissors and sponged with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. The wooden Kaisercraft heart was painted with acrylic paint and sponged with the Distress Ink. To finish it off, I added an MFT die cut flourish, various trims and some pearls.
